Oral-B 1000 Questions and Answers

#1 How does crud form on the charger?

Residual toothpaste can harden over time and form a black, brown, pink or grey, chalk-like coating on the metal shaft of the handle, the rubber, or in the joints and other places including on the charger. Toothpaste and/or water may also collect on the brush head, handle or on the surface of the charger, leaving a residue. This buildup may be colored depending on your toothpaste and water hardness. Be sure to thoroughly clean your brush after every use and allow it to fully dry.

#2 Why does it need batteries if you plug it in?

The Oral-B Pro 1000 CrossAction Rechargeable Toothbrush runs up to seven days on a charge when you’re brushing for two minutes twice a day, but takes around 22 hours to fully recharge its battery. The battery is built into the handle of the toothbrush.

#3 How do you know when it's fully charged? I think it probably has something to do with the green light. Also, how often should I change the brush head

When the tooth brush is on the charger it will flash green on the toothbrush while its charging. When it's fully charged it will stop flashing.
It will blink red when the battery is low. A full charge takes about 24 hours, and it will last about a whole week. You don't need to keep the toothbrush on the charger everyday. It's actually recommended not to do that, and to use the battery until it blinks red.
