4. Usage and funcon
Turn on the appliance by pressing the "ON/OFF/TARE" buon briey. Press and
hold the "ON/OFF/TARE" buon for about 3-4 seconds to switch o the appli-
ance. Place the kitchen scale on a at and level surface.
Place the object to be weighed at the centre of the scales. The weight is shown
on the display aer a few seconds. Now wait unl the weight shown in the display
stabilises.
5. Tare funcon
The "ON/OFF/TARE" funcon resets the current reading to "0". For example, if
you want to weigh food items that are in a bowl, you can rst place the bowl on
the scale and then press the "ON/OFF/TARE" buon. The scales automacally
deducts the weight of the bowl.
If you now place the food item in the bowl and place the bowl on the scales, you
will see only the weight of the food item.
6. Changing the units
By pressing the "Unit" buon, you can choose between the following units:
g= gram (if the weight exceeds 1000g, it automacally switches to kg= kilogram),
lb:oz= pounds and ounces, ml = milliliter, :oz = liquid ounce
7. Replacing the baeries
① Open the battery compartment at the back of the appliance.
② Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Pay attention to
the correct polarity (+/-).
③ Close the battery compartment by replacing the battery compartment cover
until it snaps into place.
④ If the display light becomes dim or "Lo" is shown in the display, then the
batteries have to be replaced.
