Philips 37PFL9604H/12 Questions and Answers

#1 Why can I not see my PC folder hierarchy on my Philips TV?

This is normal, because the TV does not recognize all media formats. You will usually see all your folders, but once you open these folders the content may be different than the content on your PC due to the previously-mentioned restrictions on the supported media formats. (Some examples of supported media formats are .jpg, .mp3, etc. For a full overview, refer to the user manual.)

Depending on the storage device you use on the PC, you can find your folder hierarchy in the Folders or Albums category in the TV PC network browser.

#2 Can I listen to music while the Scenea photo is on the screen of my Philips TV?

Scenea is intended as a painting on the wall. You cannot listen to music at the same time.

#3 Do I have connect the antenna to the Philips TV if I use HDMI connected accessory devices?

If you are only watching programmes sent to the TV from accessory devices connected via HDMI, it is not necessary to connect the antenna

If you would like to watch programmes broadcasted via the antenna, you must do a complete installation of all programmes via auto-installation in the menu, with the antenna connected

#4 What does the 'Registering...' message mean in my Philips TV when Net TV is starting up?

This means that the TV is trying to establish a connection with the Philips network. The time required for this depends on the speed of your network connection.

Tip: When you see the loading icon (running dots), disconnect the IP-cable just for a second, either at the TV side or at the router side. After this, the Net TV homepage will load with no trouble and the problem will be gone.
