Black+Decker WM1404S Questions and Answers

#1 What's the point of this? Does flipping truly make a better waffle? How so?

No, it really doesn't. I have a cheap waffle maker that doesn't flip and it cooks perfectly on both sides. I had this flip waffle maker at one time and the handle connections broke while trying to wash it. It maybe had a dozen uses before breaking.

#2 Does the product monitor the waffle for doneness or is the ready indicator based on elapsed cooking time?

The ready light indicates w/I is ready and hot . The only way to determine if the waffle is cooked to proper doneness if watch steam, steam means cooking NO steam is cooked and ready
( From Manuel) makes great waffles.

#3 How thick are the waffles?

Thicker than the frozen kind. I use a waffle mix and add milk instead of water too.
