#1 Does this ice cream maker come with a recipe book?

Yes. While not a huge number of recipes, there is a wide variety, including ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and dairy-free. Also a couple of recipes for sauce toppings

#2 Can this make dairy free ice cream? My son has a very bad reaction to dairy so i was wondering if i could use almond milk?

Yes you can use any fruit juice for sorbet or any type of
Milk such as almond or coconut

#3 What is the container made of?

Both the bowl and appliance are stainless steel. Only the blade paddle is a hard melmac type plastic

#4 how hard does the ice cream get in the compressor and how long does it have to run for to get hurt ice cream that you can eat right out of the machine?

The process takes about 30-40 mins...ice cream is creamy at this point and we put it in the freezer for about 45 mins to get hard....in the meantime you can make another batch and so on
