OCT21RI: CERAMIC HEATER AND TOWER FAN
Read all instructions before using this appliance. Keep them for future reference.
Safety Instructions
• Disconnect the power plug before dismantling, assembling or before cleaning.
• Avoid touching mobile parts of the fan.
• Make sure the fan is on a dry and even surface.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or any other objects though the guards
whenever the power plug is connected, especially while running.
• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than its intended use.
• The fan must not be used if the guards are not fastened according to
instructions.
• When the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not use your appliance with an extension cord unless it has been
checked and tested by a qualified electrician or electrical supplier.
• Return to Hagemeyer or authorised service agent.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless
they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that
they can use the appliance safely.
• Young children or infirm persons should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.

Assembly Instructions
1. Align the front base and rear base (Fig. 1).
2. Unscrew the 4 screws fixed to the bottom of the tower unit. Pass the power
cable through the hole in the middle of the two base sections. Align the hole in
the base with the hole on the bottom of the tower (Fig. 2).
3. Secure with the 4 screws provided (Fig. 3).
4. Position the power cable into the cable clamp (Fig. 4).

Operating Instructions
The tower fan can be controlled by the control panel located at the top of the
unit or via the remote control.
COOL/OFF/WARM SWITCH:
This switch is located at the back of the unit towards the
base. To begin you will need to choose the format you wish
the tower fan to work in.
OFF – no power will be supplied to the tower fan.
COOL – the tower fan will work in cooling mode
WARM – the tower fan will work in heating mode
ON/OFF:
Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel, or the ON or
OFF button on the remote control to switch the unit on.
COOL Mode – After 3 minutes the fan will automatically
function at low speed
WARM – After 3 minutes the fan will automatically function
at medium speed (1000W).
ION:
An ion generator is built into the tower fan and will release
negative ions to help clean the air. Press this button to start
the ionizer and again to turn the ionizer off.
OSCILLATION:
Press OSC to select from 4 oscillation settings. The
corresponding angle will be displayed in the LCD:
Press once for 90

Press again for 180
O
oscillation
Press again for 360
O
oscillation
Press again to stop all oscillation.
TIMER OFF:
While the tower fan is on, press the Pre set timer button.
The running time can be set from 1 hour to 12 hours. Each
time the button is pressed the time increases. On the 13th
press the timer function will be switched off.
TIMER ON:
While the tower fan is off, press the Pre set timer button. This will switch the tower
fan to rest status, then select the desired pre-setting time from 1 hour to 12 hours.
Each time the button is pressed the time increases. On the 13th press the timer
function will be switched off.

Cooling Mode
Press the MODE button to select Normal, Wise, Natural or Sleep wind.
The tower fan has 8 wind speeds to select. Simply press the “+” or “-“ buttons to add
or decrease the wind speed for normal, natural and sleep winds. Please note that
the fan speed cannot be changed with these buttons while the tower fan is set to
wise wind mode.
WISE WIND: Operates and adjusts the fan automatically from high, medium
and low speed according to room temperature as detailed below:
NATURAL WIND: There are 3 types of natural wind: strong natural, medium
natural and low natural wind. The rhythm of the wind is follows:
SLEEP WIND: Sleep wind when combined with the 3 speed settings will:
• Strong sleeping airflow (strong natural wind for 30mins, medium wind for
30mins, then low natural wind till switched off)
• Medium sleeping airflow (medium natural wind for 30mins, then low natural
wind till switched off)
• Light sleeping airflow (low natural wind till switched off)

Heating Mode
Press the MODE button and then the “+” or “-“ buttons to adjust the desired room
temperature by one degree each time. The
icon will be displayed at all times
while in heating mode. The adjustable temperature range is 7
O
C to 35
O
C.
The heat element will work if the room temperature is lower than the set temperature
and will stop if the room temperature is higher than the set temperature.
The “+” or “-“ buttons can also be used to adjust the wind from Cool wind (40W),
Warm wind (1000W) and Hot wind (2000W).
TIMER button:
1. When the heater is in use, you can set the timer to turn off the heater.
2. Press the timer button once, the LED screen will display the default time setting
value of 0.0hr (if the unit has been switched off at the base) or the last time
setting value you have selected.
3. To set the time, press either the + or – buttons to set between 0.5 and 8 hours in
0.5hr intervals.
1. The timer will be set within 5 seconds once you finish pressing the buttons and
will stop flashing. When the set time runs out, the heater will turn off
automatically.
OSC button:
1. Press the OSC button once: The heater will begin oscillating to get better
distribution of heat around your room.
2. Press the OSC button again to turn the oscillation off.
Remote Control
1. To function properly, the remote control must have an unobstructed path to the
receiver on the fan and be within 5 meters.
2. Slide out the battery compartment cover, insert two AAA batteries and close the
battery cover.

Maintenance
1. Always disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet when cleaning this unit.
2. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the unit with a soft cloth or
vacuum cleaner using the dusting brush attachment. Interior dust can often be
removed by using a vacuum cleaner in its blower mode with a crevice tool
attachment.
3. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally with a cloth moistened (not
dripping wet) with a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the case
thoroughly with a soft dry cloth before operating the heater. CAUTION: Do not
allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or
electric shock hazard.
4. No other user maintenance is required or recommended. If service is required,
send your heater to the nearest authorized service depot.
5. Store the unit in a clean dry place when not in use.
