#1 Can you mount it to the bottom of a LG tv?
No that's not possible if you're using the normal TV stand. If your TV is mounted to the wall then you can buy brackets to mount the soundbar underneath, but it can't be mounted directly to the bottom of the TV.
#2 Does the sh5 actually have an optical port? it is not listed in the description as having one (usb/hdmi/portable?).
Yes does have optical in and out (it is compatible for both ends of the cable)
#3 I have a an old lg lcd tv. will this work with this tv or do i need a smart tv?
You can use this soundbar but would have to connect using the optical connection as i assume your tv has not got built in bluetooth
#4 Can I fix the sound bar to a wall
Yes it comes with a bracket, we have an LG television and bought a special bracket that allows the sound bar to be fitted either at the bottom or top of the television
