Electrolux EW36IC60LS Questions and Answers

#1 How can I clean my gas cooktop grates?

If you have cast-iron grates, follow these steps:
• Wash the grates in the dishwasher.
• Coat the grates with a thin layer of cooking oil.
• Bake the grates in the oven on 350˚F for 10 minutes.

If you have porcelain-coated grates, simply place them in the dishwasher and coat any unfinished areas with a thin layer of cooking oil after washing.

#2 How can I prevent or remove brown streaks or marks on my electric or induction cooktop surface?

Brown streaks, spots, or other marks are most likely caused by food boiling over and then being cooked onto your oven’s surface. You can remove them by carefully using a razor blade to scrape them off.

Tip: Prior to using your cooktop for the first time, apply the recommended cooktop cleanser to the surface and buff using a nonabrasive cloth or pad. This will make future cleanup of food easier, and the special cooktop cleansing cream leaves a protective finish that helps prevent scratches.

#3 What should I do if my electric burners don’t turn on?

If your cooktop’s electric burners don’t turn on, check the following:

• The control. Be sure to the use correct control for the element needed and ensure that it is ON.
• The heat setting. Turn the control to a slightly higher setting until the element comes on.
• Power to appliance. Reset the cooktop by turning the breaker off and on again.
• Your electricity source. If a power outage has occurred, you might want to call your local electric company.

If the burners still do not turn on then contact your dealer, installing agent, or authorized service provider, or contact Electrolux at 1-877-4 ELECTROLUX.
