#1 Can I plug an amplifier into this unit?

I really don’t kno my grandson deals with the electronics, I just enjoy them. Sorry I couldn’t answer.

#2 Instructions say this requires a band seperator (not included) in order to screw into antenna outlet on back of tv. Is this necessary?

You can plug this antenna directly into the antenna connector on your TV. If you are using simultaneously another UHF antenna along with this, only then you would need a band separator.

#3 How long do the antennas extend?

Pretty long I would guess 26 inches or more. Its worth the purchase get more in stock. I have friends that want to buy them.

#4 What is the gain on each band? This is a question for the manufacturer/retailer.

I do not know. It just has a fine tuning knob. Don't know the gain. Sorry. But all I know it works. I've had mine over two years. I use it along with a 36amp amplifier. It works. I don't care too much for leaf antennas

#5 Do i need Digital Converter Box if i have old box TV?

Yes, you need a digital converter box for the old style TV without HD capability. Newer TV's have the converter built-in for reception of today's digital TV signals without adding an external converter box.

#6 Will this work on a basement of the house?

Yes works any were you need to put it.
