en - IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
7
Do not use the vacuum cleaner if the power cord is
damaged. If the power cord is damaged it must be re-
placed together with the cord reel. For safety reasons this
must only be done by Miele Technical Service or a Miele
authorized service technician.
When vacuuming, in particular fine dust, e.g. sawdust,
sand, plaster, flour etc., electrostatic charges build up nat-
urally. Under certain conditions these charges can be re-
leased. On the underside of the vacuum handpiece is a
metal insert designed to absorb static electricity. Please
make certain that your hand remains around this metal in-
sert when vacuuming. If your vacuum cleaner is fitted with
an Eco Comfort handle, make sure you hold it by the upper
bowed section as this is where the metal inlay is incorpo-
rated.
Repairs should only be carried out by a Miele-authorized
service technician. Repairs and other work by unqualified
persons can cause considerable danger to users.
Defective components should be replaced by Miele orig-
inal parts only. Only with these parts can the manufacturer
guarantee the safety of the appliance.
Cleaning
Do not immerse the vacuum cleaner or any accessories
supplied with it in water.
Clean only with a dry cloth or slightly damp cloth when
disconnected from the power supply. Exception:
