IMPORTANT - READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN
THE INSTRUCTIONS HEREIN SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED SERVICE TECHNICIAN.
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE ATTEMPTING SERVICE. UNIT MUST BE
OFF OR UNPLUGGED FROM POWER SOURCE AND THE GAS SUPPLY SHUT OFF.
Some parts inside the grill have sharp edges. Care must be taken when handling the various components
to avoid personal injury. Wear gloves when handling. It will be easier to install this item with 2 persons.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
Work gloves
Safety glasses
Marker pen
Phillips screwdriver
Power drill with 11/64” drill bit
#10-24 tap (if available)
INSTALLATION OF WINDSCREEN
HESTAN GRILL MODELS: GxBRxx
ASPIRE GRILL MODELS: ExBRxx, ExBxx

STEP 1
Remove only 3 bottom screws
from the rear cover of the grill.
Install the windscreen with the
inside flange up against the face
of the rear cover. Ask a helper to
hold the windscreen in place.
STEP 2
As seen in this view from above,
use the windscreen to mark hole
locations with a marker pin.
STEP 3
Remove the windscreen and
proceed to drill pilot holes in the
metal landing ledge with an 11/64”
drill bit. You may also thread
these new holes if you have a
#10-24 tap.
Install the windscreen and re-
install the 3 screws from the rear
cover. Then install additional
#10-24 x 1/2” screws provided
with the windscreen. ALL
SCREWS must be installed to
prevent warpage of this part when
the grill is used.
Installation is now complete. You
may now restore the gas and
electric power.
