How to distinguish between line/hot wire and load wire?

When removing the old switch, first observe the wiring on the back and remember
what each wire does. Or take pictures of the wiring of the old switch.

If you are not sure, we suggest consulting your electrician!

1, Turn off the circuit breaker
2, Remove the old switch
3, open the circuit breaker, and use a non-contact voltage tester or a multimeter to
detect the wire. If the current is tested, the multimeter will issue a reminder, such as
flashing red light (refer to the multimeter manual). Can test the current wire is the hot
wire.
Important tip: please wear insulated gloves to operate the procedure and
remind the people not to approach the switch.
4, re-close the circuit breaker.
5, continue to install the new device
