Safety Guidelines for Freezer Use
Flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances should not be stored in the freezer. Keep these
items well away from the appliance.
If there's a power outage, wait at least 5 minutes before restarting the freezer to prevent any
compressor damage.
Adjust the freezer's temperature control as needed, depending on the quantity of food stored and
the room's ambient temperature. A fuller freezer or warmer room may necessitate a lower tem-
perature setting (which is a higher number on the control).
Hot food must be cooled before placing it in the freezer to avoid raising the internal temperature.
Use the freezer solely for storing or displaying packaged food. Foods not in packaging should be
placed in plastic bags or containers first for safety reasons.
Avoid filling the freezer to capacity; instead, leave enough space between items to ensure effec-
tive air circulation.
Your freezer should be connected to its own power outlet to avoid electrical overloads.
Refrain from using extension cords with the freezer.

Transportation and Setup Instructions
Avoid tilting the appliance more than 45 degrees when moving it.
Unpack all materials from the freezer before using it.
Place the freezer in an area that's well-ventilated, ensuring at least 4 inches of space around
the cabinet for adequate airflow.
Position the freezer on a solid, level surface to reduce noise and prevent it from vibrating.
Choose a dry location for the freezer away from direct sunlight and corrosive chemicals.
Before adding food, set the temperature control to the coldest setting (indicated by the high-
est number) and let the freezer reach 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Afterward, adjust the temperature
to the normal setting for use.

Defrosting the Freezer
Defrost your freezer for peak performance whenever the ice accumulation on the walls reaches a
quarter of an inch.
1. Empty the freezer first.
2. Disconnect the freezer from its power source.
3. Gently remove any ice buildup from inside the freezer.
4. Avoid using sharp or metal tools like steel brushes to prevent scratching the interior.
5. To defrost more quickly, you can place a container of hot water inside and then shut the door.
6. Afterward, drain any excess water from the freezer.
7. Wipe the interior dry with a clean cloth.
8. Reconnect the power to the freezer.
9. Before putting items back in, wait for the freezer to return to the appropriate temperature.
Temperature Control
Adjust the freezer's temperature with the control knob.
Rotate the knob clockwise to set the temperature. The higher the number, the cooler the
temperature. Position '4' is typically adequate for most frozen items.
The '7' setting offers the maximum cooling effect, ideal for rapid freezing. However, it's not
recommended to keep it at this setting for more than 4 to 5 hours.
Regular cleaning is essential for your freezer's upkeep. Before you begin, make sure to switch
off the power and empty the freezer. Use water or a gentle, neutral detergent for cleaning the
interior. Avoid using boiling water, acidic substances, chemical thinners, petrol, oil, or abrasive
powders.
After washing, thoroughly dry the interior of the freezer.
For the door seal, a light application of talcum powder after cleaning can help maintain its
condition, which may improve the seal's longevity.
To clean the freezer's exterior, wipe it down with a soft cloth dampened with water or a bit of
detergent. Remember to keep the power supply and any electrical components dry during the
cleaning process.
