Important Safety Information
Read all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions may result in
electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
1. Wear ANSI-approved
splash-resistant safety
goggles and heavy-duty
rubber work gloves
whenever connecting,
disconnecting, or working near
battery. Battery acid can cause
permanent blindness.
Avoid touching eyes while working
near battery.
2. NEVER smoke or allow a spark or
flame in vicinity of battery or engine.
3. If battery acid contacts skin or
clothing, wash immediately with
soap and water. If acid enters eye,
immediately flood eye with running
cold water for at least 10 minutes and
get medical attention immediately.
4. Remove personal metal items such
as rings, bracelets, necklaces,
and watches when working with a
lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery
can produce a short-circuit current
high enough to weld a ring or the like
to metal, causing a severe burn.
5. Install only according to these
instructions. Improper installation
can create hazards.
6. Use a 30 amp fuse only.
7. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles
and heavy-duty work gloves
during Installation.
8. Keep installation area clean and well lit.
9. Keep bystanders out of the
area during Installation.
10. Do not install when tired or when under
the influence of drugs or medication.
11. Read all instructions and safety
precautions in the vehicle’s manual onto
which the Wiring Kit will be installed.
12. Install on negative ground
12VDC systems only.
13. Do not install this product yourself
unless you are technically competent
to do so. If necessary, have a qualified
technician install the Wiring Kit.
14. If the towing vehicle has rear
turn signals separated from its
stop lights, additional hardware
and installation procedures will
be needed. Contact a qualified
technician for guidance.
15. Before installation confirm that area is
clear of fuel lines, brake lines, electrical
wires, gas tanks or any other component
which could be damaged during drilling.
16. Do not route electrical cables
near sharp edges or parts that
will move or become hot.
17. Only connect to a clean, corrosion-
free battery. Only use a 12 VDC
automotive (or equivalent)
battery, in good condition.

18. Do not lean over or come in contact
with battery while making connections.
19. Insulate all exposed wiring and
terminals after installation.
20. This product is not a toy. Do not
allow children to play with this item.
21. Use as intended only.
Not for marine use. Do not submerge.
22. Inspect before every use; do not use
if parts are loose or damaged.
23. Maintain product labels and
nameplates. These carry
important safety information.
If unreadable or missing, contact
Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.

Installation Instructions
Risk of serious personal injury. Turn the vehicle off before
assembling or making any changes to the Wiring Kit.
Note: Use with Roadshock Edge LED Lights only. 59235, 59236 and 59237.
Note: If unsure about any aspect of installation, have
the Wiring Kit installed by a professional.
1. Disconnect vehicle battery cables,
both positive and negative.
Disconnect the ground first.
2. Install 30 amp fuse into Fuse Holder.
3. Plan a route for Wiring Harness
from light, battery and switch. This
route must be secure and out of
the way of moving parts, road
debris. Ensure Wiring Harness
does not get damaged by operation
or maintenance of vehicle.
4. Place switch in a practical
location inside vehicle.
5. Ensure no electrical wires are
behind selected area for switch.
6. Cut switch opening carefully.
Mounting
Hole

7. Do not mount switch at this time.
8. Drill or locate a hole for the Relay.
9. Secure Relay to the hole using
a sheet metal screw (sold
separately). Tighten screw.
10. Connect Harness plug to Relay. Make
sure all connections are secure.
11. Connect Yellow Wire to Amber
Running Light Circuit.
12. Use included splice to connect
yellow wire to vehicles amber
running light circuit.
13. Connect wires to switch per “Wiring
Diagram” on page 6.
14. Attach the red wire to positive
12VDC battery terminal.
15. Attach the black wire to negative
12VDC battery terminal.
16. Turn switch to off-position.
17. Use wire ties to secure wires to
the vehicle and bundle excess
harness wire together.
18. Re-attach vehicle battery cables,
both positive and negative.
Attach the ground last.
19. Test harness functions.
20. Mount switch.
21. Verify wires do not touch any
moving parts, sharp edges and
are not near any hot surfaces.

WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS
FIRE AND INJURY: Connect wires with
the correct polarity. There is reverse
polarity protection built-in to prevent
damage if incorrect polarity is used.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS
INJURY: Do not route Wiring Harness
near or attach to exhaust system.

or accidents, repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper installation,
normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death,
injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages
arising from the use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation
charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany
the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace
the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily
and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense,
but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within
the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
