BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, remove the appliance and its accessories form the
packaging and remove all promotional labels and tags. Check that
neither the appliance nor any of its components is damaged.
Grasp the waffle maker by the handle and lift off the top plate. Wipe
the waffle plates with asoft sponge slightly dampened with warm
water. Then wipe dry with aclean cloth. Make sure both plates are
clean and dry.
Before use, it is recommended to rub both plates with asmall amount
of vegetable oil. Spread evenly. Remove excess oil using apaper
kitchen towel.
We recommend turning on the waffle maker at maximum temperature
for 3 to 5 minutes to burn the plates and remove any dirt and odour.
During this process, you may notice aslight smoke or aslight smell.
This is anormal event which disappears during use.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
1. Insert the mains cord plug into apower socket. The power light will
come on and stay on as long as the waffle maker is running.
2. Turn the temperature control to “MAX” and leave the top plate
covered. The waffle maker will start preheating, which takes about
10 minutes. Temperature control indicator light will be on.
3. When the temperature control light goes off, the waffle maker is
preheated.
4. Set the temperature control to the desired toasting level. Moving
the temperature control to the right to “MAX” sets adarker degree
of browning, while moving the dial to the left to “LOW” sets alighter
degree of browning. If you are using the waffle maker for the first
time, we recommend that you set the temperature control to
approximately halfway to “MIDDLE” and then adjust as needed.
5. While the waffle maker is heating up, prepare the waffle batter.
6. Grasp the waffle maker by the handle and lift off the top plate.
Carefully pour the waffle batter onto the bottom plate. Make sure it is
evenly spread, or spread it with asuitable heat-resistant squeegee.
7. Carefully lower the top plate. Avoid excessive force to prevent the
batter from escaping from the plates.
8. Let the waffles toast for 5 to 7 minutes as needed. Check the state of
browning regularly.
9. Once the waffles are toasted, flip off the top plate using the handle
and carefully remove the waffles using awooden spoon or suitable
heat-resistant plastic utensil. Never use metal or sharp objects. You
could scratch the non-stick surface of the waffle maker plates.
10. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Warning:
Do not use metal utensils, kitchen knives, forks or
other similar items. This could scratch the non-stick
coating of the plate.
Note:
If the waffles are getting burned to the plates, we
recommend brushing them with asmall amount of
vegetable oil.
11. Once you are not using the waffle maker, turn the temperature
control to “STOP”, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and
allow the waffle maker to cool before cleaning it.
