The following information is to help in the installation of your Dorman 4X4 component.
You will need the following parts:
Chemicals: Permatex #14 with PTFE (or equivalent)
Tools: Pick or small wire brush
STEP 1: Using a pick or small wire brush, remove the old thread sealant from the axle
tube. Failure to do so may cause thread damage to your new part.
Step 2: Apply a minimal amount of Permatex #14 with PTFE (or equivalent) to the threads
of 600-101.
