tool. Keep these instructions in a safe accessible place.
INTENDED USE OF THE TOOL
This kit is designed to test for leakage in vehicle cooling
systems, including radiator caps, and for quick change
of coolant only. Use as intended only.
• Always read the instructions carefully before using the tool
• This tool kit is for cooling system maintenance only
• Ensure the working area has adequate lighting
• Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the working area
• Keep working area clean and tidy, dry and free from unrelated materials
• DO NOT allow untrained persons to use this tool kit
• Always wear eye protection that meets OSHA and ANSI Z87.1 standards
• Always wear gloves when working with the tool
• Always wear ear protection
• Disposal: Customers should follow local regulations to handle used/waste parts
• Do not remove the radiator cap or coolant bottle cap when the engine is hot or at
Operating temperature. Let the engine cool first! Failure to heed this warning may
cause damage and/or personal injury.

When unpacking, check the parts diagram and part
number listing on page 2 to make sure all parts are
included. If any parts are missing or damaged,
please call your distributor.

4. INSTRUCTIONS
VACUUM-TYPE COOLANT REFILLING
I. CREATE A VACUUM IN THE COOLING SYSTEM
1) Drain coolant from the radiator.
2) Hook the gauge underneath the car’s hood.
3) Connect shop air to shop air connector (B).
4) Connect the conical adapter (8) or a suitable test
cap (5 or 6) onto the radiator filler neck (as in Fig. 1)
5) Turn on the air control valve (D), while coolant
control valve (F) remains o, to create a vacuum in
the cooling system (as in Fig. 2).
6) When the pressure falls into the range between
-50 and -60 cmHg (-20 and -25 inHg), turn o the
air control valve (D)
7) Leave the gauge on the radiator for approximately
10 mins to check if there are leaks in the cooling
system before refilling new coolant.
II. REFILL NEW COOLANT
8) Connect the coolant hose (10) to the coolant hose
connector (G).
9) Put the the hose into a container filled with pre-mixed
new coolant.
10) Turn on the coolant control valve (F) (while the air
control valve (D) remain o), coolant will be introduced
into the radiator immediately (as in Fig. 3).
11) The refilling process is completed when the gauge
reads zero.
12) Remove residual coolant in the gauge before storage.

COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST
1) Choose a suitable adapter and screw the adapter onto
the radiator filler neck.
2) Connect the pressure tester to adapter.
3) Pump pressure to the range between 10 and 15 psi
(Fig. 4).
4) Check if the gauge reading moves.
If it does, there could be leaks in the cooling system.
Attention: Do not pump the pressure up to 35 psi.
RADIATOR CAP PRESSURE TEST
1) Connect the original radiator cap to one side of the
connector, and a test cap on the other side (Fig. 5).
2) Pump pressure to the specified pressure on the cap.
3) When pumping pressure under the specified pressure,
check if the gauge reading drops. If it does, there could
be leaks on the cap.
4) When pumping pressure above the specified pressure,
check if the radiator cap has the ability to release
pressure. If it does not, the cap should be replaced.
