Important Safety Instructions
READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE.
• This appliance may be only used by children aged 8
years and older and by persons with physical, sensory or
mental impairments or lack of experience and knowledge,
if they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe
use of the appliance and understand the potential hazards.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by
children without supervision.
• If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced in
aprofessional service centre in order to prevent
adangerous situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance
with the power cable damaged.
Warning:
Do not use this appliance near water. Do not use this
appliance near baths, showers, washbasins or other
containers containing water.
• If the appliance is used in the bathroom, unplug it from
the socket after use by removing the plug from the socket,
as the presence of water poses danger, even when the
appliance is turned off.
• To insure additional safety, it is recommended to install an
Residual Current Device (RCD) into the electric circuit to

the bathroom with amaximum current rating of 30 mA.
Ask the electrician for advice.
• Burn hazard. Keep the appliance out of reach of children,
especially during use and cooling.
• When the appliance is connected to the mains, never
leave it unattended.
• Always place the appliance with the stand, if equipped, on
aheat-resistant, stable and flat surface.

• Carefully unpack the product and take care not to throw away any part of the packaging until all the product parts have been identified.
• Before connecting this appliance to apower socket, make sure the voltage stated on the label of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your
power socket.
• Never use accessories which have not been supplied with this appliance or which are not designed for this appliance.
• Sure that the power cord and plug cannot come into contact with water or dampness.
• Do not spray the product with water or any other liquid. Do not submerge this appliance and any of its components in water or any other liquids.
• If the appliance has fallen into water, IMMEDIATELY unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Never reach into the water for the device when it is
connected to the mains socket. This poses the risk of adangerous situation.
• This product is designed for household use. Do not use it in industrial environment or outdoors!
• Do not use sprays in the vicinity of the appliance.
• If you will not be using the appliance, disconnect it from the electrical grid. Before cleaning or moving the appliance, proceed in the same manner.
• Make sure the appliance is fully cold before storing.
• Do not expose sensitive people or animals to hot air.
• Do not place the appliance on or near an electrical or gas stove. Do not place the device within near heat producing devices such as fireplaces etc.
• Do not use attachments other than those supplied or specified by the manufacturer.
• Never block the ventilation openings of the appliance. Keep the ventilation openings clean. Do not insert any objects into the ventilation openings.
• Do not use the appliance if it has adamaged power cord or power plug.
• In no case should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself; do not make any modifications to it - danger of electric shock! Entrust all repairs and
adjustments of this device to aspecialised company/service. Failure to do so will expose you to the risk of voiding the warranty policy.
• Do not place the power cord of the appliance near hot places or over sharp objects. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord, position the cord
so that it is not stepped on or tripped over. Make sure the power cord does not hang over the edge of atable and that it is not touching ahot surface.
• Do not disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling the power cord - it may damage the power cord / power socket. Disconnect the
cable from the power socket by gently pulling the plug of the power cord.
• Do not use the product for any other purposes than those intended.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Before first use, remove the hair waver from the packaging and detach
all promotional labels and stickers. Make sure it is not damaged.

PURPOSE OF USE
• The Sencor SHI 4700GD is designed for styling dry hair and creating
waves.

USING THE HAIR WAVER
1. Carefully comb your hair anddivide it into equally thick strands.
2. Plug the power cord into the mains socket. "OFF" will appear on the
display.
3. Press the on/off button for 3seconds to turn on the hair waver. You
will hear two short beeps. Default temperature is 180°C.
4. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired temperature: from 100°C to
230°C. Each press increases or decreases the temperature by 10°C.
Press the + button for 3 seconds to set the temperature directly to
230°C.
5. Press the – button for 3seconds to lock the temperature setting.
This will prevent accidental temperature changes during hair styling.
To cancel the lock, press the – button for 3 seconds.
6. Wait for the hair waver to warm up.
7. Release the safety lock so that you can use the hair waver.
8. When you have finished styling your hair, press the on/off button for
3 seconds to switch the hair waver off. You will hear one long beep.
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket.
9. Allow the hair waver to cool down on aheat-resistant mat before
cleaning andstoring.
Automatic Shutdown
The hair waver switches off automatically after 1 hour of inactivity. It will
then need to be switched on again using the on/off button.
Making Waves
1.
The thicker and stronger your hair, the higher the temperature setting.
2. Carefully comb your hair anddivide it into equally thick strands.
3. Release the safety lock andopen the hair waver. Place it as close to
the roots as possible. Be careful not to burn yourself.
4. Insert the hair strand between the heating elements andclose the
hair waver.
5. Keep the hair waver closed for as long as necessary and then open it.
6. Move the hair waver lower to create more waves on that strand.
7. Repeat the same process with other strands.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Before cleaning, turn off the hair waver andallow it to cool down
completely.
Warning:
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse
the hair waver, power cord or plug in water or other
liquids.
• Wipe the hair waver with aclean anddry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, solvents, etc. to clean any parts
of the appliance that could damage the surface of the appliance.

STORAGE
• Store the hair waver in adry, clean, and well-ventilated place away
