installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning the

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only

the screws provided with the outlet box.

1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has

been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before

beginning.

2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code “ANSI/NFPA 70-1999” and local electrical codes.

Electrical installation should be performed by a qualiﬁed

licensed electrician.

3. The outlet box and support structure must be securely

mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35

lbs (15.9 kg) or less. Use only UL-listed outlet boxes marked

“FOR FAN SUPPORT.”

4. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft. (2.1m)

clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the ﬂoor.

5. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.

6. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other

items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.

7. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan

blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be

suitable for most cleaning.

8. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors

should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the

outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the

grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor

on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on

the other side of the outlet box.

9. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

10. Suitable for use with solid-state speed control. (UC7067RY

ONLY)

We warrant the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period

of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. We also warrant that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic

blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the

date of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or

superior model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All

costs of removing and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper installa-

tion or by afﬁxing any accessories, is not covered by this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover

any changes in brass ﬁnish, including rusting, pitting, corroding, tarnishing or peeling. Brass ﬁnishes of this type give their longest useful

life when protected from varying weather conditions. A certain amount of “wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect.

To hang your fan where there is an existing ﬁxture but no ceiling

joist, you may need an installation hanger bar (NN) (not included)

as shown above.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box (MM) (not included) directly to the

building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials

(not included). The outlet box and its bracing must be able

to fully support the weight of the moving fan (at least 35

lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box (MM) (not included).

Installation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock, or

personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked

acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the

outlet box. An outlet box commonly used for the support of

lighting ﬁxtures may not be acceptable for fan support and

may need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualiﬁed

electrician.

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper

blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling.

The maximum angle allowable is 18° away from horizontal. If

the canopy (C) touches the hanger ball/downrod assembly

(D), turn the canopy (C) 180° before attaching the canopy (C)

to the mounting bracket (A).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the cotter pin (FF)

could result in the fan loosening and possibly falling.

Assembly

□ Remove the canopy bottom cover (C) from the canopy

(B) by turning the canopy bottom cover (C)

counterclockwise.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (B)

by removing the non-slotted canopy mounting screw

(BB) from the bottom of the canopy (B) and loosening

the slotted canopy mounting screw (BB) a half turn

from the screw head. Next, turn the canopy (B)

counterclockwise to remove the mounting bracket (A)

from the canopy (B).

□ Remove the cotter pin (FF) and clevis pin (EE), and

loosen the two collar setscrews (GG) from the motor

collar.

NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included) is needed, take

out the screw located in the hanger ball, lower the hanger

ball, and remove the pin. Remove all three pieces from the

downrod and assemble them onto the new, longer downrod

before proceeding to the downrod installation.

□ Route the wires exiting from the top of the fan motor

assembly (F) through the coupling cover (E) and the

canopy bottom cover (C). Ensure the slot openings

are on top.

□ Route the wires through the canopy (B) and then

through the hanger ball/downrod assembly (D).

□ Align the holes at the bottom of the hanger

ball/downrod assembly (D) with the holes in the collar

on top of the fan motor assembly (F).

□ Carefully insert the clevis pin (EE) through the holes

in the collar and the hanger ball/downrod assembly

(D). Be careful not to jam the clevis pin (EE) against

the wiring inside the hanger ball/downrod assembly

(D).

□ Insert the cotter pin (FF) through the hole near the

end of the clevis pin (EE) until it snaps into the locked

position.

□ Tighten the two collar setscrews (GG) on top of the

fan motor assembly (F) ﬁrmly.

□ Pass the 120 volt supply wires through the center

hole in the mounting bracket (A).

□ Install the mounting bracket (A) to the outlet box

(MM) with the screws and washers provided with

your outlet box (MM).

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock or

other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or

supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and

use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.

WARNING: The tab in the ring must rest in the groove of

the hanger ball (D). Failure to properly seat the tab in the

groove could cause damage to the wiring.

□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (F) up to the

mounting bracket (A) and seat the hanger ball (D) in

the mounting bracket (A) socket. Make sure the tab

on the mounting bracket (A) socket is properly seated

in the groove in the hanger ball (D). This will help to

balance the ceiling fan.

Preparing the receiver and

remote control

CAUTION: Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure

electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring.

If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring

knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a

licensed electrician.

This remote control unit is equipped with 16 code

combinations to prevent possible interference from or to

other remote units. The frequency switches on your

receiver (L) and remote control (M) have been preset at

the factory. Please recheck to make sure the switches on

the remote control (M) and the receiver (L) are set to the

same position. Any combination of settings will operate

the fan as long as the switches in the remote control (M)

and receiver (L) are set to the same position.

□ After checking the switches, insert the receiver (L)

into the mounting bracket (A) with the ﬂat side of the

receiver (L) facing the ceiling.

Making the electrical connections

Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your

household wiring. Use the plastic wire nuts (AA or KK)

with your fan. Secure the plastic wire nuts (AA or KK) with

electrical tape. Make sure there are no loose strands or

connections.

Motor to receiver electrical connections:

□ Connect the black wire from the fan to the black wire

marked "TO MOTOR L" from the receiver (L).

□ Connect the white wire from the fan to the white wire

marked "TO MOTOR N" from the receiver (L).

□ Connect the blue wire from the fan to the blue

wire marked "For Light" from the receiver (L).

Receiver to house supply wires electrical connections:

□ Connect the black (hot) wire from the ceiling to

the black wire marked "AC in L" from the receiver (L).

□ Connect the white (neutral) wire from the

ceiling to the white wire marked "AC in N" from the

receiver (L).

□ If your outlet box (MM) has a ground wire (green

or bare copper) connect it to the fan ground wires;

otherwise connect the hanger ball/downrod assembly

(D) ground wire to the mounting bracket (A).

□ Secure each wire connection with a plastic wire nut

provided with the electrical hardware.

□ After connecting the wires, spread them apart so that

the green and white wires are on one side of the

outlet box (MM) and the black and blue wires are on

the other side. Carefully tuck the wire connections up

into the outlet box (MM).

WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight,

including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire

nuts, except for the ground wire.

NOTE: The fan must be installed at a maximum distance of

20 ft. from the remote control for proper signal transmission

between the remote control and the fan's receiving unit.

Installing the canopy

□ Make sure connections are neatly tucked into the

ceiling outlet box (MM).

□ Slide the canopy (B) up to the mounting bracket (A)

and place the key hole on the canopy (B) over the

loose canopy mounting screw (BB) on the mounting

bracket (A). Turn the canopy (B) clockwise until the

canopy (B) locks in place at the narrow section of the

key holes.

□ Align the circular hole on the canopy (B) with the

remaining hole on the mounting bracket (A), secure

the canopy mounting screw (BB) previously removed

in the hole, and tighten the two canopy mounting

screws (BB).

WARNING: Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A)

properly sits in the groove in the hanger ball (D) before

attaching the canopy (B) to the mounting bracket (A) by

turning the canopy housing until it drops into place.

NOTE: Adjust the canopy mounting screws (BB) as

necessary until the canopy (B) and canopy bottom cover (C)

are snug.

□ Attach the canopy bottom cover (C) to the canopy

mounting screw (BB) heads on the bottom of the

canopy (B) by inserting the screw heads into the key

slots in the canopy bottom cover (C) and rotating the

canopy bottom cover (C) clockwise.

□ Attach the blades (G) to the blade arms (H) using the

three blade attachment screws and ﬁber washers

(DD). Start a screw with ﬁber washer (DD) into the

blade arms (H), but do not tighten.

□ Repeat for the two remaining blade attachment

screws and ﬁber washers (DD).

□ Tighten each screw securely starting with the center

screw. Make sure the blade (G) is straight.

□ Repeat these steps for the remaining blades (G).

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not

bend the blade arms (H) while installing, balancing the blades

(G), or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects between

rotating fan blades (G).

□ Fasten the blade assemblies to the fan motor

assembly (F) by lining up the holes of the blade arms

(H) and the motor (F).

□ Tighten the two blade arm screws with lock washers

(CC) already installed in the blade arms (H).

□ Repeat this procedure for the remaining blade arms

(H).

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting plate

screws (HH) from the mounting ring (OO) and loosen

the other two screws. (Do not remove.)

□ Place the key holes in the light kit mounting plate (I)

over the two screws (HH) previously loosened from

the mounting ring (OO). Turn the light kit mounting

plate (I) until the light kit mounting plate (I) locks in

place at the narrow section of the key holes.

□ Securely tighten the two light kit mounting plate

screws (HH) previously loosened and the one (HH)

previously removed.

CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the

power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse

at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not

sufﬁcient to prevent electric shock.

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting screws (II)

from the light kit mounting plate (I) and loosen the

other two screws (II). (Do not remove.)

□ While holding the 24W LED light kit (J) under the fan

motor assembly (F), make the 2-pin wire connections

(PP):

- White to white

- Black to blue

□ Place the key holes in the 24W LED light kit (J) over

the two mounting screws (II) previously loosened

from the light kit mounting plate (I). Turn the 24W

LED light kit (J) until the 24W LED light kit (J) locks in

place at the narrow section of the key holes. Secure

by tightening the two light kit mounting screws (II)

previously loosened and the one (II) previously

removed.

□ Position the notches (RR) in the outer rim of the

plastic shade (K) so they line up with the tabs (QQ) on

the inside of the rim on the 24W LED light kit (J).

Carefully lift the plastic shade (K) up inside the 24W

LED light kit (J) and secure it to the fan by turning the

plastic shade (K) clockwise until snug. DO NOT

OVERTIGHTEN.

Operation

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL HOLDER

□ Attach the remote control holder (N) with the remote control

holder mounting screws (LL).

□ Install the 23A 12V battery (JJ) (included) into the remote

control (M). To prevent damage to the remote control (M),

remove the battery if not used for long periods.

□ Restore power to the ceiling fan and test for proper operation.

, , buttons: Sets the fan speed.

button: Turns the fan off.

button: Turns the light on or off and also controls the

brightness setting. Press and release this button to turn the light

on or off. Press and hold the button to set the desired brightness.

The light button has an auto-resume, it will stay at the same

brightness as the last time it was turned off.

Care and Cleaning

□ Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure.

Because of the fan’s natural movement, some

connections may become loose over time. It is not

necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or

lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the ﬁnish. The plating is

sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or

tarnishing.

□ (Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood

blades.

□ (Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of

shoe polish.

□ Use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor,

or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.

□ Apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has

permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction

of the blade rotation.

REVERSE SWITCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The reverse switch is located on the top of the fan housing. Slide

the switch to the left for warm weather operation. Slide the switch

to the right for cool weather operation.

Warm weather - (Counterclockwise Direction) A downward air ﬂow

creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner

on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.

Cool weather - (Clockwise Direction) An upward air ﬂow moves

warm air off the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on

a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.

Troubleshooting

□ Do not connect the fan with wall mounted variable speed control(s).

□ Make sure the frequency switches are set correctly.

The fan wobbles.

The remote control is

not working.

Problem

Solution

□ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

□ Check to make sure the frequency switches from the remote control and receiver are set to the same

frequency.

□ Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade to the motor hub are tight.

□ Make sure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch

housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this

time.

□ If using the ceiling light kit, make sure the glassware is secured tightly.

□ Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Make sure your ceiling box is secure and that rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting

bracket and outlet box.

The fan will not start.

The fan sounds noisy.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off at the electrical

panel box before you attempt any repairs. Refer to step 7

“Making the electrical connections” on page 11.

□

Verify that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure (most fan wobble problems are caused by

loose parts). Once the fan is properly installed, run the ceiling fan for 10 minutes to let the fan

self-adjust.

If wobble occurs after running the fan for 10 minutes, verify blade level using the following process:

- Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades, then select any fan blade and

measure from the center of the selected blade to the point on the ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next

blade is positioned and repeat the measurement using the same point from the ceiling for every blade.

Measurement deviations should be within 1/8 in..

- If all deviations are less than 1/8 in. and the fan continues to wobble, please call Customer Service

4. El ventilador debe ir montado con un mínimo de 7 pies (2,1m)

de separación entre el borde trasero de las aspas y el piso.

5. Evita colocar objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.

6. Para evitar lesiones físicas o daños al ventilador y otros

artículos, ten cuidado al limpiar o trabajar cerca del ventilador.

Para colgar el ventilador donde ya haya una lámpara pero

ninguna viga de techo, tal vez necesites una barra de instalación

colgante (NN) (no provistas) como se muestra arriba.

Si tu ventilador de techo no posee una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los

cortacircuitos.

□ Fija la caja eléctrica (MM) (no provistas) directamente a la

estructura del ediﬁcio. Usa sujetadores y materiales (no

provistas) apropiados. La caja eléctrica y su soporte deben

sostener completamente el peso en movimiento del

ventilador (al menos 35 libras). No uses una caja eléctrica

de plástico.

Las ilustraciones a continuación muestran tres formas diferentes

de montar la caja eléctrica (MM) (no provistas).

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,

□ Retira el pasador de chaveta (FF) y pasador tipo

horquilla (EE), y aﬂoja los dos tornillos de ajuste de

collarín (GG) del collarín del motor.

□ Retira la tapa del fondo de la cubierta (C) de la

cubierta (B), girando la cubierta del fondo de la

cubierta (C) hacia la izquierda.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (B)

quitando el tornillo de montaje de la cubierta (BB) de

la parte inferior de la cubierta (B) y aﬂojando el

tornillo de montaje de la cubierta (BB) a media vuelta

de la cabeza del tornillo. Luego, gira la cubierta (B)

hacia la izquierda para retirar el soporte de montaje

(A) de la cubierta (B).

□ Pasa los cables que salen por la parte superior del

ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (F) a través de la

cubierta del acoplamiento (E) y la tapa inferior de la

no apretar el pasador tipo horquilla (EE) contra los

cables dentro del ensamblado de tubo bajante/bola

de soporte (D).

ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador

de chaveta (FF) es posible que el ventilador se aﬂoje y caiga.

NOTA: Si necesitas un tubo bajante más largo (no provis-

tas), baja la bola de soporte y retira el pasador, retira las tres

piezas del tubo bajante y ensámblalas en un tubo bajante

más largo antes de continuar al paso tres.

□ Coloca el pasador de chaveta (FF) en el oriﬁcio

cercano al extremo del pasador tipo horquilla (EE)

hasta encajarlo en su posición.

□ Aprieta ﬁrmemente los dos tornillos de ajuste de

collarín (GG) en la parte superior del ensamblado del

motor de ventilador (F).

□ Ajusta ﬁrmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Levante con cuidado el ensamblaje del motor (F)

blado de tubo bajante/bola de soporte (D) en el

socket del soporte de montaje (A). Asegúrate de que

ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar una posible descarga

eléctrica, asegúrate de que la electricidad esté apagada de la

caja de fusibles principal antes de realizar el cableado.

PRECAUCIÓN: No usar con un interruptor de pared

regulador de intensidad.

Si crees que no tienes suﬁciente experiencia o

conocimientos sobre cableado eléctrico, contrata a un

electricista con licencia para que instale el ventilador.

Esta unidad de control remoto tiene 16 combinaciones de

códigos para evitar posibles interferencias con otras

unidades de control remoto. Los interruptores de

frecuencia en tu receptor (L) y control remoto (M) han sido

preconﬁgurados en la fábrica. Revisa para asegurarte que

los interruptores del control remoto (M) y el receptor (L)

estén conﬁgurados en la misma posición. Cualquier

ADVERTENCIA: Veriﬁca que todas las conexiones estén

bien ajustadas, incluida la conexión a tierra, y que no haya

ningún cable pelado visible en las tuercas para cable

(excepto el de tierra).

PRECAUCIÓN: No usar con un interruptor de pared

regulador de intensidad.

NOTA: El ventilador debe instalarse a una distancia máxima

de 6,1 m de la unidad transmisora para obtener una señal de

□ Asegura la conexión del cable con una tuerca plástica

incluida en los herrajes eléctricos.

□ Después de conectar los cables, sepáralos de manera

que los cables verde y blanco queden de un lado de

la caja eléctrica (MM) y los cables negro y azul del

con tres tornillos de montaje de aspas y arandelas de

ﬁbra (DD). Inserta un tornillo con una arandela de

ﬁbra (DD) en el brazo del aspa (H), pero no aprietes.

□ Repite el proceso para los dos tornillos de montaje de

aspas y las arandelas de ﬁbra (DD) restantes.

□ Aprieta todos los tornillos de manera ﬁrme

□ Aprieta los ensamblajes de aspas al ensamblaje del

motor del ventilador (F) alineando las agujeros de los

brazos de la aspa (H) y el motor (F).

□ Ajusta los dos tornillos del brazo del aspa y las

arandelas de seguridad (CC) ya instaladas en los

brazos de las armas (H).

□ Repite este procedimiento con los brazos del aspa

(H) restantes.

Ensamblado — Cómo Instalar el Kit de Luces

□ Retira 1 de los 3 tornillos del placa de montaje del kit

de luces (HH) del anillo de montaje (OO) y aﬂoja los

otros 2 tornillos. (No retirar)

□ Coloca los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de cerradura en la placa

de montaje del kit de luces (I) sobre los 2 tornillos

(HH) del anillo de montaje (OO) previamente

aﬂojados, gira la placa de montaje del kit de luces (I)

hasta que la placa de montaje del kit de luces (I)

caiga en su lugar en la parte estrecha de los oriﬁcios

tipo ojo de cerradura.

□ Asegura apretando los 2 tornillos del anillo de

montaje (HH) previamente aﬂojados y el que uno (HH)

se quitó previamente.

PRECAUCIÓN: Antes de empezar la instalación, corta el

suministro de electricidad, apagando el cortacircuitos o

retirando el fusible en la caja de fusibles. Cortar el suministro

de electricidad con el interruptor del ventilador no es

suﬁciente para evitar una descarga eléctrica.

□ Retira 1 de los 3 tornillos de montaje del kit de luces

(II) de los postes de la placa de montaje del kit de

luces (I). Aﬂoja los otros 2 tornillos (II). (No retirar)

□ Mientras sostienes el kit de luces LED de 24W (J)

debajo del ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (F),

cómo hacer las 2 pines conexiones de enchufe

polarizado (PP):

- Blanco con blanco

- Negro con azul

□ Coloca los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de cerradura en el kit de

luces LED de 24W (J) sobre los 2 tornillos de montaje

del kit de luces (II) previamente aﬂojados de la placa

de montaje del kit de luces (I), gira la placa del luces

LED de 24W (J) hasta que caiga en su lugar en la

parte estrecha de los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de cerradura.

Asegúrala apretando los 2 tornillos de montaje del kit

de luces (II) previamente aﬂojados y el que se quitó

previamente.

□ Coloque las muescas (RR) del borde exterior de la

pantalla de plástico (K) para alinearlos con las

pestañas (QQ) del borde interior del juego de luz LED

de 24W (J). Levante con cuidado el plástico (K) dentro

del juego de luz LED de 24W (J) y fíjelo al ventilador

girando la pantalla de plástico (K) en el sentido de las

agujas del reloj hasta que quede ajustado. NO

APRIETE DEMASIADO.

CÓMOINSTALAR EL SOPORTE DEL CONTROL

REMOTO

□ Sujeta el soporte del control remoto (N) tornillos de montaje

(LL) del soporte del control remoto .

□ Instala una batería 23A de 12V (JJ) (incluida) en el control

remoto (M). Para prevenir daños al control remoto (M), sacala

batería si no va a usarse por largo tiempo.

□ Conecte la eléctricidad a el ventilador y conﬁrme que opera

debidamente.

Los bottones , , : Establece la velocidad del ventilador.

Boton: Apaga el ventilador.

El boton : Es para prender y apagar la luz, tambien se usa para

controlar la intensidad de la luz. Apriete y sostenga el boton hasta

obtener la intensidad de luz deseada. La luz cambiara

continuamente entre intensidad y oscuridad mientras que el boton

esté presionado. El boton de la luz está equipado para resumir con

la misma intensidad de luz que se uso la ultima ves.

Funcionamiento (continuación)

Mantenimiento y Limpieza

□ Revisa las conexiones de soporte, soportes y accesorios

de aspas dos veces al año. Veriﬁca que estén seguros.

Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas

conexiones pueden aﬂojarse con el tiempo. No es

necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia tu ventilador con frecuencia. Usa solamente un

cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el

acabado. El revestimiento está sellado con laca para

minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.

□ (Opcional) Aplica una ﬁna capa de pulimento para

muebles a la madera de las aspas.

□ (Opcional) Cubre los arañazos pequeños con una leve

aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

Hacer

□ Uses agua al limpiarlo. El agua puede dañar el motor o la

madera, o causar descargas eléctricas.

□ Apliques lubricador al ventilador o al motor. El motor

tiene cojinetes de bola sellados permanentemente

lubricados.

No hacer

NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de

invertir la dirección de giro de las aspas.

Clima cálido - (Hacia la izquierda) Un ﬂujo de aire hacia abajo crea

un efecto refrescante. Esto te permite ﬁjar tu aire acondicionado

en una conﬁguración más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

Clima frío - (Hacia la derecha) Un ﬂujo de aire hacia arriba mueve

el aire cálido lejos del techo. Esto te permite ﬁjar tu unidad de

calefacción en una conﬁguración más baja sin afectar tu

comodidad.

El Interruptor de Reversa está ubicado en la superﬁcie de la

carcasa del ventilador. Desliza el interruptor hacia a la izquierda

para funcionamiento en clima cálido. Desliza el interruptor hacia a

la derecha para funcionamiento en clima fresco.

□ Veriﬁca conexiones de cables en línea al ventilador y conexiones de cables del interruptor en la caja del

interruptor.

□ Revisa para asegurarte de que los interruptores de frecuencia del control remoto y del receptor estén

conﬁgurados en la misma frecuencia.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el brazo del aspa del ventilador al cuerpo del motor están bien

ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras o con la pared interior

de la caja del interruptor.

□ Permite un período de 24 horas de “adaptación”. La mayoría de los ruidos asociados con un nuevo

ventilador desaparecen en ese período.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos sujetadores estén bien ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debería tocar el techo.

□ Asegúrate de que tu caja del techo esté bien segura y las almohadillas aislantes de goma se hayan

instalado entre el soporte de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador no

enciende.

El ventilador hace ruido.

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la electricidad esté

cortada en el panel de electricidad antes de intentar hacer

reparaciones. Consulta el paso 7 “Cómo Hacer las Conexiones

Eléctricas” en la página 11.

Veriﬁca que todas las aspas y los tornillos de los soportes de aspas estén seguros (la mayoría de los

problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a piezas sueltas). Una vez que el ventilador ha sido

instalado correctamente, enciéndelo durante 10 minutos para que se autoajuste.

Si luego de 10 minutos de estar encendido el ventilador aún oscilara, veriﬁca el nivel de las aspas

utilizando el siguiente procedimiento:

- Ubica un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas, luego elige cualquier aspa del

ventilador y mide desde el centro del aspa seleccionada hasta el punto en el techo. Rota el ventilador

hasta que la siguiente aspa esté posicionada y repite la medición utilizando el mismo punto en el techo

para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición deben estar dentro de 3.2 mm.

- Si todas las desviaciones son menores a 3.2 mm y el ventilador continúa oscilando, llama al servicio

al cliente al (1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin costo alguno un kit de compensación de aspas.

- Si la desviación es mayor a 3.2 mm, llama al servicio al cliente al (1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin

costo alguno los reemplazos de los soportes.
