Safety Warnings
• Read all of these instructions.

• If provided with a 3-pin attachment plug on the power cord, (either from a supplied power cord or from
external power supply) plug the cord into a grounded (earthed) 3-pin outlet. If you are unable to insert
the plug into the outlet, contact a qualified electrician to replace the outlet. Do not disable the power
cord grounding pin, for example, by attaching a 2-pin adapter or by breaking the grounding pin o. The
grounding pin is an important safety feature.
• This monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If
you are not sure of the type of power supply to use, consult the products specifications online or check
with qualified service person.
• Do not overload wall outlets, power strips and/or extension cords as this can result in fire or electric
shock.
• Do not use attachments not recommended by the monitor manufacturer as they may cause hazards.
• When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts
specified by the manufacturer that has the same characteristics as the original parts. Unauthorized
substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
• The monitor shall be connected to ITE product with Limited Power Source(LPS) Output approved by
Underwriters Laboratories (UL OR TUV)
• Do not attempt to service this monitor yourself since opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
• Upon completion of any service or repairs to this monitor, ask the service technician to perform routine
safety checks to determine that the monitor is in safe operating condition.
The lightning flash with an arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the
user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be
of sucient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the
appliance.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Operating Precautions
• Do not use this monitor near water. For example
near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or
laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a
swimming pool, etc..
• Use only with a cart or stand recommended by
the manufacturer or sold with monitor. Wall or
shelf mounting should follow the manufacturer’s
instructions, and should use a mounting kit
approved by the manufacturer.
• Do not place this monitor on an unstable cart,
stand, or table. The monitor may fall, causing
serious injury to a child or adult, and serious
damage to the appliance.
• Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back
or bottom are provided for ventilation, and to
insure reliable operation of the monitor and to
protect it from overheating, these openings
must not be blocked or covered. The openings
should never be blocked by placing the monitor
on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface.
• This monitor should never be placed near or
over a radiator or heat register.
• This monitor should not be placed in built-in
installation such as a bookcase unless proper
ventilation is provided.
• Do not allow anything to rest on the power
cord. Do not locate this monitor where the cord
will be abused by persons working on it.
• Do not bend, crimp or otherwise damage the
power cord.
• Never push objects of any kind into this monitor
through cabinet slots as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short out parts that
could result in a fire or electric shock.
• Never spill liquid of any kind on or into the
monitor.
• This equipment is not suitable for use in
locations where children are likely to be present.

Maintenance
• For added protection for this monitor, when it
is left unattended and unused for long periods
of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. This will
prevent damage to the monitor due to power-
line surges.
• Unplug this monitor from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
• Clean the LCD monitor surface with a lint-free,
non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using any cleaning
solution or glass cleaner.
• Unplug this monitor from the wall outlet and
refer servicing to qualified service personnel
under the following conditions:

When the power cord or plug is damaged or
frayed.
°
If liquid has been spilled into the monitor.
°
If the monitor has been exposed to rain or
water.
°
If the monitor does not operate normally
by following the operating instructions.
Adjust only those controls that are covered
by the operating instructions as improper
adjustment of other controls may result in
damage and will often require extensive
work by a qualified technician to restore the
monitor to normal operation.
• If the monitor has been dropped or the
cabinet has been damaged.
• When the monitor exhibits a distinct change in
performance- this indicated a need for service.
Warning
• Excessive usage may harm your vision.
• Take a 10-minute break for every 30 minutes of
screen time.
• Children under 2 years of age should have no
screen time. For children aged 2 years and over,
screen time should be limited to less than one
hour per day.
• Avoid displaying fixed patterns on the monitor
for long periods of time to avoid screen burn/
image persistence (after image eects).
• Immediately unplug your monitor from the wall
outlet and refer servicing to qualified service
personnel under the following conditions:

If the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
°
If liquid has been spilled, or objects have
fallen into the monitor.
°
If the monitor has been exposed to rain or
water.
°

Precauciones de uso
• No utilice este monitor cerca del agua. Por

de cocina o lavadero, en un sótano húmedo o
cerca de una piscina, etc.
• Utilícelo únicamente con un carro o soporte
recomendado por el fabricante o vendido
con el monitor. El montaje en pared o estante
debe realizarse siguiendo las instrucciones
del fabricante y utilizando un kit de montaje
aprobado por el mismo.
• No coloque este monitor sobre un carro,
soporte o mesa inestable. El monitor podría
caerse y causar lesiones graves a un niño o
adulto, además de daños importantes al equipo.
• Las ranuras y aberturas del gabinete, en la
parte posterior o inferior, se proporcionan para
ventilación y para asegurar un funcionamiento
fiable del monitor y protegerlo contra el

Mantenimiento
• Para mayor protección de este monitor, cuando

antes de limpiarlo. No utilice limpiadores

soluciones de limpieza o limpiavidrios.
• Desconecte el monitor de la toma de corriente y
solicite servicio técnico a personal calificado en
los siguientes casos:

Cuando el cable de alimentación o el enchufe
estén dañados o desgastados.
°
Si se ha derramado líquido dentro del monitor.
°
Si el monitor ha estado expuesto a lluvia o
agua.
°
Si el monitor no funciona normalmente
siguiendo las instrucciones de uso. Ajuste
únicamente los controles indicados en las
instrucciones, ya que un ajuste incorrecto
puede causar daños y requerir una reparación
extensa por parte de un técnico calificado.
°
Si el monitor se ha caído o el gabinete ha
sufrido daños.
• Cuando el monitor presente un cambio notable
en su rendimiento, lo que indica la necesidad de
servicio técnico.
Advertencia
• El uso excesivo puede dañar la visión.
• Tome un descanso de 10 minutos por cada 30
minutos de uso de la pantalla.

Entretien

Install VESA bracket to PVM:
Remove the cover plate (if equipped) on the back-side of the PVM and set aside. Install the PVM onto
appropriate VESA mounting bracket, following instructions supplied with the mounting bracket.

Basic Installation
ATTENTION:
A mounting bracket is required for installation. The mounting bracket is sold separately and is not included with the
product. Installation shall be performed in accordance with the instructions and documentation provided with the
mounting bracket.
The installer is solely responsible for ensuring that the selected mounting bracket is rated to support the full weight of the
PVM/monitor. Clinton Electronics shall not be liable for the use of third-party mounting brackets that are inadequate or
unsuitable for the intended application.
The installer must verify that the mounting surface is structurally sound and capable of safely supporting the combined
weight of the unit and all associated hardware. Installation on walls, ceilings, or other structures is performed at the
customer’s own risk and responsibility. Not all mounting surfaces are suitable for installation. Prior to installation, the
mounting location must be thoroughly inspected to confirm it can support the load and ensure safe, secure operation.
Clinton Electronics shall not be responsible for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper installation,
inadequate mounting surfaces, structural modifications, or acts of nature. The product warranty does not cover damage
caused by improper installation, remodeling, or natural disasters. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in
the voiding of the warranty.

• This PVM monitor has Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) standard mounting holes tapped into
the rear panel. The standard sized screws used are M4 for VESA 75x75, 100x100, 100x200 & M6 for VESA
200x200 up to 400x400. The screw length will vary depending on the thickness of the mounting bracket.
Screws (fastners) are included with the mounting bracket. Use four screws when installing.

Basic Installation
Connect Power:
Before connecting the power cable, make sure that the power supply is not connected to main power source,
and check that the power switch (if equipped) is set to the OFF position. Connect the DC power cord from the
power supply into the DC24V jack on the PVM.

1. Plug the DC connector properly and do not have loose connection between DC jack and the plug as this
can result into poor connection and cause damage.
2. Do not bend the DC wire and the DC connector. It will cause damage of the wire as this can result into fire.
3. Do not coil the wire and avoid the wire being pressed under heavy objects. It will cause an overload and
damage of the wire as this can result into fire.
For PVM models supporting PoE:
Some PVM models support PoE (Power Over Ethernet). If the PVM model supports PoE the label for the IP
Camera will denote (PoE). If the network port does not say PoE— that model does not support PoE power
and must be powered separately from DC24V or AC power.
If using PoE power connect quality Cat5e/CAT6 network cable to the network port marked PoE. Ensure the
connected PoE switch or injector has enough power for the PVM. If underpowered the camera might function
and be discoverable on the network, but the main PVM will not turn on (there will be no screen image).

ATTENTION:
Do not connect power to the PVM while the power supply is energized. Always unplug the power supply
from the main power source first; hot-plugging can damage the monitor and void the warranty..
Only use DC or AC power! For PVM models that support being powered either from DC24V or
AC100~240V power: DO NOT CONNECT DC24V & AC110V POWER SIMULTANEOUSLY. Connecting both will
cause damage to the device.

Basic Installation
Connect Network/Video Cable(s):
Depending on the PVM model, connect network cable (if not used for PoE power) or coaxial cable for
transferring the built-in camera image to a connected recorder (DVR/NVR/VMS).

Turn Power ON:
After making the power and network/video connections, plug the power supply into a wall outlet and set the
On/O power switch (if equipped) to the ON position. Replace the cover removed from step 1 after all cable
connections are complete and the unit has begun to power On.

Camera Boot-Up:
For IP camera PVM models: While the IP camera is booting up, colored bars or a “Waiting for Camera”
message will be shown on the screen. This will be displayed on the screen for approximately 30-60 seconds.
The live camera image will display on the screen after the camera has successfully booted up.
For analog camera PVM models: The camera image will display shortly after power On.

For models with RVM (Rated Voltage Monitoring) LED status light:
A LED indicator (on the rear of the PVM) will illuminate when the PVM is receiving power. The electrical
components can fail if it is receiving too little, or too much power. An under-powered PVM might work
initially, but will often fail if the power is not addressed.
• GREEN: Safe voltage, normal operation
• RED: Under voltage, check power. Use shorter power run, larger gauge wire, or larger power supply
• BLUE: Over voltage, check power. Adjust power supply output if supported.

• The OSD Menu will automatically timeout/disappear after 30 seconds of no activity. (time can be adjusted)
• These settings do not adjust the actual camera image. It’s recommended to verify that the image from the
camera looks correct before adjusting these monitor settings. Camera settings are adjusted separately,
through the camera. The method of adjusting camera settings varies depending on the camera type.
Contrast:
Adjust to set the white level so that the images are at their brightest without losing definition in the white portions
of the image. Setting the too high will result in an over-saturated image.
Brightness:
Adjust to set the black level so that the images are at their brightest while the black portions are still black. Do
not adjust too high where the black portions of the image become gray or the image will have a “washed out”
appearance.
Saturation:
Adjust the color saturation of the video image; decrease for a more monochrome (black & white) image, or
increase for a more colorful/vibrant image.
Tint:
To adjust the color balance towards more green or more magenta.
Sharpness:
Adjust lower if the image appears too grainy or pixelated. Increase if the image appears too soft.
Color Temperature:
Adjusts the color temperature of the screen image. A low color temperature will make the screen reddish. A high
color temperature will make the screen bluish.
Clinton PVMs come preset with settings that are optimized for most applications. Adjust the picture as needed. To
access the OSD Menu, press the MENU button on the remote or using the controls on the backside of the PVM.

Aspect Ratio:

Image Mode:

• Logo Motion: When there is no motion, the PVM will display a selected store logo. Once motion is detected

CAMERA SETTINGS
Reboot Camera:
To reboot the camera, highlight Reboot and press the RIGHT button on the remote. The reboot takes about
1 minute to complete.
Factory Default:
To reset all of the settings on the camera to the defaults, highlight Factory Default and press the RIGHT
button on the remote. After pressing the RIGHT button, the camera will begin to perform the Factory
Default process, during this time the camera will be inaccessible for about 1 minute and perform a reboot.
The camera’s IP Address should remain unchanged, unless the DHCP server re-assigned a new address.
After the camera reboots, the password will need to be reconfigured, as well as any additional camera
settings.
OSD / CAMERA SETTINGS
• Camera Reboot & Factory Default are only available on PVM models with a Clinton Electronics IP Camera.
This option is not available on PVM models with an analog or HD-SDI/EX-SDI camera.
During the Reboot or Factory Default a color bar screen (white/red/green/blue) or a ‘Waiting for Camera’
message will display until the camera has finished the reboot or factory default.

ATTENTION: Verify that the following information is completed before proceeding with the installation.
Is the Connect PVM installed vertically?
Verify the Connect PVM is installed correctly. It should have a vertical
orientation (portrait mode) with the camera located at the bottom
of the device. If the device is installed horizontally both the camera
feed on connected DVR/NVR and the digital signage content will not
display correctly.
Will this be a wired or wireless internet (Wifi) connection?
The Connect PVM is a networked device that requires internet access
to function correctly. If this device can not access the internet, it can
not be completely setup and will not be able to receive advertising
updates. This device will accept either a wired or Wifi internet
connection. For best results a wired connection is recommended.
Do you have the Remote that was included with the PVM?
The included remote is required to complete the initial set up. Keep
the remote in a safe place to make any adjustments at a later date.
Do you have the Company QR Code?
The company specific QR Code is required to register the device to
the correct company. If the QR Code was not provided contact your
Clinton Connect admin.
Has the network been properly configured?
Depending on the level of network security, some URLs may need to be white-listed on the network. If the
required URLs are not added, the initial set up will fail. For a list of the required URLs consult the Networking
Requirements document which can be found on www.clintonconnect.com/support
Connect PVM Setup
ATTENTION:
Connect PVMs models (CE-P10E-B, CE-P13E-B, CE-P21E-B, CE-P32E-B, CE-P43E-B) require internet
connectivity and a special Company QR Code to complete installation. If there is no internet access,
installation can not be completed. If the QR code is missing, installation can not be completed.

Step 1. Press the ENTER button on the included remote
to get started.
Step 3. After successful network connection, the
device will test it’s Internet Connection and ping
the Clinton Connect Server. Both tests must pass to
proceed with the setup.
Step 2. Choose a Wifi Network from the list, enter the
password, and select Join.
Step 4. Hold the QR code in front of the Connect PVM
camera to scan. If the code does not scan, you can also
enter it manually.
*Hardwired devices will automatically skip this step

Step 7. Begin typing the store number when prompted,
then choose your store number from the list. Store
numbers will only appear if they have been entered
previously on Clinton Connect.
Step 8. Select the appropriate device group from
the list to automatically download assigned content.
If there is no content, the device will display the full-
screen camera view until the next deployment to that
device or device group.
Step 6. Press the ENTER button on the remote to Snap
a Photo. This photo is used to help verify the device is
installed in the correct location.
Choose to Accept or Redo the photo.
Step 5. Once the QR Code has scanned, verify the
correct time and date by selecting YES. If the time is
not correct, select NO, then select the correct time
from the list.
