Shelving Assembly
1. Mount first shelf.
Referencing numbers on posts, snap plastic tapered split sleeves onto each post
at desired location of bottom shelf. The thicker part of the taper goes toward the
bottom (fig. 1). Make sure rib on split sleeve is seated into a groove on the post.
Note: The number covered by the split sleeve indicates approximate height of shelf.
Holding the first shelf on its side, insert the posts through the corner collars until
split sleeves are seated snugly with collars (fig. 2).
Stand the unit upright.
2. Mount additional shelves.
Snap split sleeves onto post at the location for the second shelf.
Lower shelf onto the post until the split sleeves are snugly seated within corner
collars (fig. 3).
Repeat for each additional shelf working from the bottom to the top.
3. Securely seat all shelves by placing a board across the corners and tapping
with a hammer (fig. 4). Caution: Do not hammer directly on wire or corner.
Helpful hint: Large installations are easier if all posts are marked first.
Lay posts on floor with leveling bolts against a wall or straight edge.
Mark all posts using a magic marker or grease pencil (fig. 5).
4. Move the unit to the desired location, and level. The leveling bolts allow
approximately
1
2-inch adjustment.
