IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs or
the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons [including children]
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
• D0 NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return the appliance to the manufacturer for examination repair or
electrical or mechanical adjustment. All servicing, other than cleaning,
should be performed by an authorized service representative. See
Warranty section.
• The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall
outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'OFF', then remove the plug
from the wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Do not leave unit unattended while in use.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing
hot liquids.
• Do not use the Kettle without the Lid in place.
• Scalding may occur if the Lid is opened while the Kettle is hot.
• Direct kettle spout away from cabinets, walls, etc. to prevent
possible steam damage.
KNOWING YOUR KETTLE
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded
plug (2 blades and 1 pin). lf the plug does not fit fully into the
electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the
plug in anyway or use an adaptor.
GROUNDED PLUG
A short supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming
entangled in or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used
if care is exercised in their use, lf an extension cord is used, the
marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or
extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of
the appliance. lf the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounded 3-wire cord, The extension cord should be
arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top,
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

USING YOUR KETTLE
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
• Remove all packaging.
Before First Use
1. Do not use the kettle without the lid in place.
• Doing so may cause water to spit out during boiling.
• The kettle may continue boiling for too long after the water has
reached a boil and may not switch off automatically.
2. Fill the kettle with 1L of cold tap water and bring it to a boil.
• Add 500ml of white vinegar and let it stand for at least 1 hour or
overnight.
• Discard the solution afterward.
3. Fill the kettle to the maximum level with cold tap water.
• Bring it to a boil and discard the water.
• Repeat this step once more.
4. The kettle is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• All servicing, other than routine cleaning, should be performed by an
authorized service representative.
General Servicing
4. The kettle will switch off automatically when boiling is complete.
Note: To turn off early, lift the kettle from the base or press the
Power Switch again.
3. Press the Power Switch to start boiling.
Note: Do not open the lid while the kettle is hot.
2. Place the kettle on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface. Plug into a
120V AC outlet.
Note: Keep the spout away from cabinets, walls, or other surfaces
to prevent steam damage.
1. Open the lid and fill the kettle with water. Alternatively, water can
be added carefully through the spout. Ensure the lid is securely closed.
Note: Keep the water level between the MIN and MAX marks on
the water level gauge to avoid overfilling or empty operation.
• Unplug the Base from the wall outlet and allow the Kettle to cool.
• Empty the Kettle before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
• Dry thoroughly before use.
Cleaning the Kettle
Note: Do not use abrasive cleaners and do not immerse the kettle
or power base in water or any other liquid.
• Scale build-up will naturally occur inside the Kettle, especially on
the stainless steel heating plate.
• To remove scale:
1. Fill the Kettle with equal parts white vinegar and water (about
500 ml / 2 cups each).
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it stand for several hours or
overnight.
3. Empty the mixture, then fill the Kettle to the MAX level with fresh
water.
4. Bring water to a boil again and discard.
• For heavy scale build-up, use a commercial descaler and follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
Descaling
Note: To delay scale build-up, always pour out remaining water
after use and refill only when needed.
5. After use, unplug the kettle.
Note: Do not connect other appliances to the base or tamper
with the connector.
6. If the kettle is switched on while empty, the thermostat will cycle to
prevent overheating.
Note: Unplug immediately and allow it to cool before refilling.
