How to clean the steam wand in five steps
Cleaning the steam wand after every use will prevent excess milk residue from burning onto the sides,
not only helping you maintain the machine’s quality, but also enhancing the flavour of your coffee with
smooth and velvety textured milk.
Directions:
1. Wipe the steam wand thoroughly with a damp cloth.
2. Redirect the steam wand over the drip tray and turn the ‘Steam dial’ to the ‘Steam’ icon for a few
seconds. This will clear any remaining milk inside the wand.
3. If any holes on the steam wand tip becomes blocked, ensure the ‘Steam dial’ is turned to ‘Standby’
mode. Press the ‘Power’ button to switch the machine off and let the steam wand cool. Once cooled,
clean it using the pin on the end of your steam wand cleaning tool to unblock the holes.
4. If the steam wand remains blocked, remove the tip and soak in hot water.
5. Then, screw the tip back onto the steam wand after rinsing.
Performing a factory reset on your espresso machine
If you want to reset your espresso machine and start from scratch, follow this step-by-step guide on how
you can perform a factory reset on the Barista Touch™. By carrying out a factory reset, you will lose
personal settings and presets so only perform this action if necessary or if you have been instructed to
do so by a support engineer.
Directions:
1. Select the cogwheel icon in upper right of the screen to access the ‘Settings’ menu.
2. Scroll down and select the ‘Factory reset’ menu item.
3. Once confirmed, select the ‘Reset’ option which will reset all programmable values back to the factory
settings and delete all custom drinks.
A guide to adjusting the milk texture of your coffee

Directions:
1. Select your desired beverage type from the ‘Drinks’ menu.
2. Under the ‘Milk’ icon, select ‘Temp’ to adjust the milk temperature and ‘Froth’ to adjust the milk
texture.
3. Tap and adjust the side for your desired outcome.
4. To save your preference for future use, swipe across the ‘Drinks’ menu and select ‘Add New’.
