Software Update instruction for Philips HDTP8530 and
HDTP8540
Instruction on how to upgrade your HDTP8530 or HDTP8540
set-top box to the newest software version.
For an easy and successful software upgrade via USB memory stick,
please follow the steps below. If at any stage you are unsure please
feel free to contact our support team on our local call rate number
0845 090 0315.
Note
• Your USB memory stick must be formatted in FAT32.
If your box uses a lower version than the one that is available on the
Philips webpage then we recommend you perform a manual update
to ensure you get the most out of your box.
Note
•
If your set-top box fails to perform the upgrade please consider
using a different USB memory stick. On rare occasions this
might be caused by a USB compatibility issue and using a
different USB memory stick usually resolves the issue.
