Use two or more people tomove and install air conditioner.
Never operate the airconditioner without the filters inplace.
Do not usethe air conditioner near a bathtub, shower or washbasin or other wet area.

The applianceshall be storedso as to prevent mechanical damage from occurring.
Any person who is involved with working onor breaking into a refrigerant circuit should hold a current valid
certificate froman industry-accreditedassessment authority, which authorizes their competence tohandle
refrigerantssafely in accordance withan industry recognized assessmentspecification. Servicingshall only be
performed asrecommended bythe equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair requiring the assistance
of other skilledpersonnel shall be carried out
under the supervision of the person competent inthe use of
flammable refrigerants.
Prior to beginning workon systems containingflammable refrigerants, safety checks are necessaryto ensure
that the riskofignition is minimized. Work shallbe undertakenunder a controlled procedure so as to minimize
the risk of aflammable gasor vapor being present while the work is being performed. All maintenance staff and
others working in the localarea shall be instructedon the natureof work beingcarried out.Work in confined
spaces shall beavoided. The area around the workspa
ce shall be sectioned off. Ensurethat the conditions
within thearea have been made safe by control offlammable material.
The area shall be checked withan appropriate refrigerant detector prior to and duringwork, to ensurethe
technician is aware of potentially flammable atmospheres. Ensure that theleak detection equipment being
used is suitable for use with flammable refrigerants, i.e. no sparking, adequately sealed or intrinsically safe.
If any hot work is to beconductedon the refrigeration equipment or anyassociated parts,appropriate fire
extinguishingequipment shall be available to hand. Have a drypowder or CO

fire extinguisher adjacent tothe
charging area.
No person carrying outwork in relation to a refrigeration systemwhich involves exposing any pipework that
contains orhas containedflammable refrigerantshall use anysources ofignitionin such a manner thatit may
lead to the risk offire or explosion.All possible ignition sources, including cigarette smoking, should bekept
sufficiently faraway from the site ofinstallation, repairing, removing and disposal, during which flammable
refrigerantcan possibly be releasedto the surroundin
g space. Priorto work taking place, thearea around the
equipment isto be surveyed to make surethat there are no flammablehazards or ignition risks. “NoSmoking”
signs shallbe displayed.
Ensure thatthe area is inthe open or that it is adequately ventilated beforebreakinginto the systemor
conducting any hot work. A degree ofventilation shall continue duringthe period that the work is carried out.
The ventilation should safely disperse any released refrigerantand preferably expel itexternally into the
atmosphere.
Do not apply any permanent inductive orcapacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not
exceed the permissiblevoltage and current permitted for theequipment in use. Intrinsically safe components
are the onlytypes that can be worked on while livein the presence of a flammableatmosphere.The test

N'appliquez aucune charge inductive oucapacitive permanenteau circuit sansvous assurerque cela ne
dépasserapas la tension et lecourant autorisés pour l'équipementutilisé. Lescomposants àsécurité
intrinsèque sont les seuls types sur lesquelson peut travailler endirect en présence d'une atmosphère
inflammable. L'appareild'essai doit êtreàla valeur nominalecorrecte. Remplacez lescomposants uniquement
par des pièces spécifiées par le fabricant. D'autres pièces peuven

les effets duvieillissement ou desvibrations continuelles provenant desources tellesque les compresseurs ou
les ventilateurs.

CONTROL PANEL
BUTTONS
A. TIMER BUTTON
Programa time from (1-hour to 24-hours) for the air conditioner to turn O
or On. When a Time Delay is
programmed, the Timer indicator light will illuminate.
While the air conditioner is operating:
1. Press theTimer button.
2. Press theUp/Down arrow buttons to select the number of hoursyou want theair conditioner to continue to
operate before turning O
.
While the air conditioner is o

1. Press theTimer button.
2. Press theUp/Down
arrow buttons to select the number ofhours you wantthe air conditioner toremain o
before turning On.
NOTE: Wait approximately5 secondsfor the Turn-On time to besaved.
To cancel the timer:
Press the Timer buttononce, the hours remaining will ash, pressthe timer button again and the timer will
be canceled.
B. FAN SPEED BUTTON
The fan speedcan be adjusted from Low speed to High speedwhen the air conditioneris in operation.
NOTE: The fanspeed cannot be adjusted when the
unit is in Dehum mode.
Press the Fan Speed button to toggle among the two speeds. The corresponding fan speedindicator will
illuminate.
C. UP AND DOWN ARROW BUTTONS
Adjusts the Temperature or Hours in Time Delay.
To Set the Temperature:
The temperature can beset between62ºF and 86º F (17ºC and 30º C)when the air conditioneris in Cool mode.
1. Press theMode button until the Cool modeis selected.
2. Press theUp Arrowor Down Arrow buttons to select the Temperature.
NOTE: Thete
mperature cannotbe set whe
n the air conditioner isin either Fanor Dehum mode.
NOTE: The Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons, when pressed at the same time, allow you to select between
displaying the temperature in ºC or ºF.
D. CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY
Displays the SetTemperature in degreesFahrenheitor degrees Celsius, or the hours remaining ina Time Delay.

E. MODE BUTTON
Press the Mode buttonto toggle among the operating options. The correspondingindicator will illuminate:
Cool – Cools theroom tothe set temperature
Dehum – Reduces the humidity in theroom
Fan – Circulates the air in the room without cooling
F. POWER BUTTON
Turns ON/OFF power to the air conditioner.
NOTE:
Turning offpower by pressing thePower buttondoes NOT disconnect theappliance fromthe power
supply.
G. SLEEP MODE BUTTONS
The Timer and Down Arrow butt
ons,when pressed at the same time, allow youto select Sleepmode.
REMOTE CONTROL
1) Power On andOff - When theunit is pluggedin, pressthe POWER button to turn onthe unit.Press the
POWER button once more to turnthe unit off.
2) Press the Cool, Dehum, Fan button to selectworking mode.
3) Fan Speed - Press the Speed button to adjust the fanspeed. Whenthe unit
is in Dehum mode, thefan speed cannotbe changed.
4) Temperature Setting- When the unitis in cool mode,you can select your
d
esired temperature. Press the or to select your desired
temperature setting.
5) SLEEP MODE - When in air conditioning mode, press the SLEEPButton on
the remote control.
6) TIMER
Auto-On:Press the TIMER button when the unit is off to set up the Auto-ontimer.
Press the
or to set timer within 1-24 hours.
Auto-Off: Press the TIMER buttonwhen the unit isOn to set upthe Auto-off
timer. Press the
or to set timer within 1-24 hours. To cancel the timer,
press the TIMER button until the timermode is turnedoff.
NOTE:
Insert the twoAAA batteries.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
When replacing the battery, please replace the 2 batteries at the
same time. Donot mix old andnew batteries.
If you do not use this unit for a long time, pleasetake out the
battery of the remote control and storeit properly.
WARNING
If the battery liquid of the remote control leaks on your skin or
clothes, please rinse withplenty of wateras soon as possible; if you
find a leak, pleasedo not usethe remotecontrol.
If you swallow the battery liquid, rinse your mouth andseek
medical attention as soon as possible. The chemical substances in the battery may burn or cause other
health hazards.
