66 - DESCRIPTION 91477B526/C
*power levels are indicative and can vary according to the pan used or the settings made.
Advantages of induction cooking
• Energy saving thanks to the direct
transmission of energy to the pan
(suitable magnetisable cookware is
required) compared to traditional
electric cooking.
• Improved safety as the energy is only
transmitted to the pan placed on the
hob.
• High level of energy transmitted from
the induction cooking zone to the base
of the pan.
• Rapid heating speed.
• Reduced danger of burns as the cooking
surface is only heated under the base of
the pan; foods which overflow do not
stick.
Power management
The hob is fitted with a power control
module that optimises/limits consumption. If
the overall set power level exceeds the
maximum limit permitted, the electronic
circuit board will automatically manage the
power supplied by the hot plates. The
module tries to maintain the maximum
deliverable power levels. Levels set by the
automatic control will appear on the
display.
If very high-power cooking is carried out on
the hob or in the oven cavity, the system
may prevent the use of one or more zones.
If you try to activate these zones, a dash “–”
will flash on their display, followed by level
0.
To increase a level that is already at its limit,
you must reduce the levels of the other
zones on the same module or select a less
intensive oven cooking function, turn the
knob back and try again.
Two situations may occur:
1. When the hob is on and an oven
cooking function is started that does not
allow the current hob configuration, the
hob emits a beep and the displays of the
zones whose power has been reduced
to comply with the limit flash at their
new values.
2. When you try to increase a level beyond
the limit allowed by the current
restriction, the hob emits a beep and the
limit value flashes.

The appliance is equipped with an
induction generator for each cooking
zone. Each generator located under
the glass ceramic cooking surface
creates an electromagnetic field
which induces a thermal current in
the base of the pan. This means the
heat is no longer transmitted from
the hob to the pan but created
directly inside the pan by the
inductive current.
Priority is given to the first zone that
is set in chronological order.
The power control module does not
affect the total power consumption
of the appliance.

mains, an automatic check will be
carried out that will switch on all
indicator lights for a few seconds.
After use, turn off the hot plates that
were used by moving the relative
knob back to position 0. Never rely
solely on the cookware detector.
Use only cookware with a perfectly
flat bottom which is suitable for
induction hot plates. Using
cookware with an irregular bottom
could jeopardise the efficiency of the
heating system and prevent
cookware from being detected on
the hot plate.

symbol will appear on the display. If there is
a suitable saucepan on the cooking zone,
the recognition system detects it and
switches on the hob to the power level set
using the knob. Energy transmission is also
interrupted when the saucepan is removed
from the cooking zone (the symbol will
be shown on the display). If the cookware
recognition function is activated in spite of
the saucepan or frying pan on the cooking
zone being smaller than the zone itself, only
the necessary energy will be transmitted.
Limiting the cooking duration
The hob has an automatic device which
limits the duration of use. If the cooking
zone settings are not changed, the
maximum duration of operation for each
zone depends on the power level selected.
When the device for limiting the duration of
use is activated, the cooking zone turns off,
a short alert sounds and, if the zone is hot,
the symbol appears on the display.
Protection from overheating
If the hob is used on full power for a long
period, the electronics will have trouble
cooling down if the room temperature is
high. To avoid excessively high
temperatures forming in the electronics, the
power to the cooking zone is reduced
automatically.
Residual heat indicator
After the cooking zone has been switched
off, a symbol appears on each display to
indicate whether the zone is still hot and
indicates the approximate temperature:
1. if the temperature is between 60 °C
and 79 °C.
2. if the temperature is between 80 °C
and 99 °C.
3. if the temperature is 100 °C or
higher.
Heating accelerator
This function allows the selected power to
be achieved in the shortest amount of time.
1. Turn the knob anticlockwise to position
A and then release it. The display shows
the symbol.
2. Select the required heating power (1..8)
within 3 seconds. The selected power
and the symbol will flash alternately
on the display.
The power level can be increased at any
moment. The “maximum power” period will
automatically be modified. Once the
acceleration period is over the power level
will remain the same as the one previously
selected.

Using the temperature probe (on
some models only)
The temperature probe enables you to cook
roasts, loin steaks and other cuts and sizes
of meat with great precision. The probe
ensures that the food is perfectly cooked by
monitoring the core temperature of the
food. The core temperature is measured by
a sensor inside the tip of the probe.
Positioning the probe
1. Place the food on a tray.
2. Insert the tip of the probe into the food
before you place it in the oven.
3. For best results, make sure that the
temperature probe is placed
transversely in the thickest part of the
food and for least 3/4 of its length. Make
sure that it does not touch the tray
underneath and that it does not
protrude from the food.
Setting cooking parameters when using
the temperature probe
With a cold oven:
1. Select a cooking function (e.g. “FAN
ASSISTED ”).
2. Turn the temperature knob to set the
cooking temperature (e.g. “190°C”).
3. Open the oven door.
4. Insert the tray on which the food has
been placed into the appropriate guides.
See General safety instructions.
In order for the probe to measure the
core temperature of the food
precisely, its tip must not be in
contact with bones or fat.
The recommended minimum
temperature for cooking with the
probe is 120°C, with the exception
of slow temperature cooking.
Warning: accessible parts become
very hot during use. Protect your
hands with oven gloves when
connecting the temperature probe
and when handling food inside the
oven.
The selectable temperature ranges
from a minimum of 50°C to a
maximum of 90°C.
If the temperature of the oven is set
too low, the appliance automatically
sets the minimum temperature
necessary to reach the selected
target Temperature.
For best results, it is recommended
to set a cooking temperature higher
than the target temperature.
If, when cooking with the
temperature probe, it is necessary to
remove the probe for any reason,
without making any adjustments to
the knobs or the display, the
function continues as normal
cooking.
The probe cannot be used with the
following functions: pizza, eco,
leavening, defrosting, Sabbath and
pyrolysis.

Cooking advice
General advice
• Use a fan assisted function to achieve
consistent cooking at several levels.
• It is not possible to shorten cooking
times by increasing the temperature (the
food could be overcooked on the outside
and undercooked on the inside).
Advice for cooking meat
• Cooking times vary according to the
thickness and quality of the food and to
consumer taste.
• Use a meat thermometer when roasting
meat, or simply press on the roast with a
spoon. If it is hard, it is ready; If not, it
needs another few minutes cooking.
Advice for cooking with the Grill and the
Fan with grill
• Meat can be grilled even when it is put
into the cold oven or into the preheated
oven if you wish to change the effect of
the cooking.
• When using the fan-assisted with grill
function, we recommend that you
preheat the oven before grilling.
• We recommend placing the food at the
centre of the rack.
• With the Grill function, we recommend
that you set the temperature to the
maximum value to optimise cooking.
Advice for cooking desserts/pastries and
biscuits
• Use dark metal moulds: They help to
absorb the heat better.
• The temperature and the cooking time
depend on the quality and consistency
of the dough.
• To check whether the dessert is cooked
right through: At the end of the cooking
time, put a toothpick into the highest
point of the dessert. If the dough does
not stick to the toothpick, the dessert is
cooked.
• If the dessert collapses when it comes
out of the oven, on the next occasion
reduce the set temperature by about
10°C, selecting a longer cooking time if
necessary.
Advice for defrosting and proving
• Place frozen foods without their
packaging in a lidless container on the
first shelf of the oven.
• Avoid overlapping the food.
• To defrost meat, use the rack placed on
the second level and a tray on the first
level. In this way, the liquid from the
defrosting food drains away from the
food.
• The most delicate parts can be covered
with aluminium foil.
• For successful proving, a container of
water should be placed in the bottom of
the oven.
To save energy
• Stop cooking a few minutes before the
time normally used. Cooking will
continue for the remaining minutes with
the heat which has accumulated inside
the oven.
• Reduce any opening of the door to a
minimum to avoid heat dispersal.
• Keep the inside of the appliance clean at
all times.
Advantages of assisted steam
cooking
The assisted steaming cooking system
cooks any type of food much smoother and
faster and finds its main applications for:
• Braising and stewing
•Cooking sauces
• Cooking au gratin
•Roasting
• Low temperature cooking
• Regenerating
• Multi-mode cooking
Variations in temperature and humidity
levels allow the wished gastronomic result
to be achieved.
The addition of steam allows the use of less
fat in favour of a healthier and more
genuine cuisine. It also minimizes the loss of
weight and volume in food while cooking.
Assisted steam cooking is particularly
suitable for cooking meat: in addition to
making it very soft, it maintains it bright and
makes it more succulent.
Also recommended for baking leavened
and bread dough. The humidity in fact lets
the dough grow and develop while cooking
background
84 - USE 91477B526/C
before creating the outer crust. The result is
a lighter and more digestible mixture,
recognizable by thicker pockets.
Advice on using the probe (if fitted)
The probe can also be used during normal
timed cooking:
1. Insert the probe into the food you are
cooking, and connect it to its socket.
2. Check the temperature of the food using
the value shown under Instant
temperature.

To modify the power limitation of the
appliance (oven + induction hob), follow the
instructions below:
Whenever one of the display
symbols is pressed, the appliance
beeps. This setting disables these
sounds.
For greater energy savings, the
lights inside the oven cavity are
automatically deactivated
approximately one minute after the
start of cooking or after the door is
opened.
To stop the appliance from
automatically deactivating the light
after approximately one minute, set
this mode to Off.
The Eco light function is factory set
to On.
The power limitation must be set
within 2 minutes of it being
connected to the mains power
supply. After this period of time, the
menu item remains visible but its
value cannot be changed.
At the first switch-on of the
appliance, it may be necessary to
set the time and then proceed with
the power limitation setting.

The induction hob is configured by default
to operate at the maximum power of 7.4
kW. When the total appliance power is set
lower than the maximum (default), the
maximum hob power automatically adapts
according to the oven’s consumption so
that the total appliance power does not
exceed the limit set by the user. For
example, if the limit is set at 8 kW and the
oven is consuming 2 kW, the hob is
automatically limited to 6 kW.
Limited power distribution
Depending on the total power set and the
function in use in the oven, the hob’s
dynamic limitation may fall into one of the
following modes:
• A: hob power is reduced between 6000
W and 7400 W: the reduction is
distributed evenly between the left and
right modules.
• B: hob power is reduced between 6000
W and 4400 W: the reduction is mainly
concentrated on the right module.
• C: hob power is reduced between 4400
W and 3700 W: the reduction is mainly
concentrated on the right module, where
only one zone can be used at a time.
The value can be adjusted in 100W
steps.
The reduction in hob power only
takes effect when an oven function
is activated.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - 9391477B526/C
e
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the appliance
Cleaning the surfaces
To keep the surfaces in good condition, they
should be cleaned regularly after use. Let
them cool first.
Ordinary daily cleaning
Always and only use specific products that
do not contain abrasives or chlorine-based
acids.
Pour the product onto a damp cloth and
wipe the surface, rinse thoroughly and dry
with a soft cloth or a microfibre cloth.
Food stains or residues
Do not use steel sponges and sharp
scrapers as they will damage the surface.
Use normal, non-abrasive products and a
wooden or plastic tool, if necessary. Rinse
thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth or a
microfibre cloth.
Do not allow residues of sugary foods (such
as jam) to set inside the oven. If left to set
for too long, they might damage the enamel
lining of the oven.
Cleaning the glass ceramic hob
Clean and maintain the hob using an
ordinary glass ceramic cleaning product.
Always follow the manufacturer’s
instructions. The silicon in these products
creates a protective, water-repellent
membrane which also resists dirt. All marks
stay on the membrane and can therefore be
removed easily. After cleaning, dry the
surface with a clean cloth. Make sure that
there is no detergent left on the cooking
surface as it might undergo an aggressive
reaction when heated up and could modify
the structure of the cooking surface.
Food stains or residues
Light coloured marks from pans with
aluminium bases can be easily cleaned off
with a cloth moistened in vinegar. Remove
any burnt-on residues after cooking; then
rinse with water and dry thoroughly with a
clean cloth. Dirt, which may have fallen on
the hob while cleaning lettuce or potatoes,
can scratch the hob when moving pans.
Consequently, remove any dirt from the
cooking surface immediately. Changes in
colour do not affect the operation and
stability of the glass. These are not
alterations to the material of the hob but
just residues which have not been removed
and have then carbonised. Shiny surfaces
can form due to the bases of pans,
especially aluminium ones, rubbing on the
surface, and due to the use of unsuitable
detergents. They are difficult to remove
using conventional cleaning products. It
may be necessary to repeat the cleaning
process several times. Use of corrosive
detergents or rubbing of pan bases can
wear away the decoration on the hob over
time and contribute to the formation of
stains.

Knobs
The knobs should be cleaned with a soft
cloth dampened with lukewarm water, then
dried carefully. They can be removed by
pulling them out from their housings.
Cleaning the door
Door disassembly
For easier cleaning it is recommended to
remove the door and place it on a tea towel.
To remove the door proceed as follows:
1. Open the door completely and insert
two pins into the holes on the hinges
indicated in the figure.
2. Grasp the door on both sides with both
hands, lift it forming an angle of around
30° and remove it.
3. To reassemble the door, put the hinges
in the relevant slots in the oven, making
sure that grooved sections A are resting
completely in the slots.
4. Lower the door and once it is in place
remove the pins from the holes in the
hinges.
Cleaning the door glazing
The glass in the door should always be kept
thoroughly clean. Use absorbent kitchen
roll. In case of stubborn dirt, wash with a
damp sponge and an ordinary detergent.
Removing the internal glass panes
For easier cleaning the internal glass panes
of the door can be removed.
1. Open the door.
2. Position the retaining pins in the holes in
the hinges in order to prevent the
accidental closing of the door (see
section “Removing the door”).
3. Pull the rear part of the internal glass
pane gently upwards, following the
movement indicated by the arrows (1).
After cleaning, dry the appliance
thoroughly to prevent any water or
detergent from interfering with its
operation or creating unsightly
marks.
Do not use aggressive products
containing alcohol or products for
cleaning steel and glass when
cleaning the knobs, as these
products could cause permanent
damage.

4. Remove the internal glass pane from the
front strip (2) to remove it from the door.
5. Remove the intermediate glass pane by
lifting it upwards.
6. Clean the external glass pane and the
panes removed previously. Use
absorbent kitchen roll. In case of
stubborn dirt, wash with a damp
sponge and neutral detergent.
7. When you have finished cleaning,
reinsert the intermediate glass pane in
its housing in the door.
8. To reposition the internal glass pane,
slide the upper part into the door strip
and insert the two rear pins into their
seats by pressing lightly.
Cleaning the oven cavity
In order to keep your oven in the best
possible condition, clean it regularly after
letting it cool down.
Avoid letting food residue dry inside the

and does not affect the appliance’s
operation in any way.
Each time you finish cooking:
1. Let the appliance cool down.
2. Remove any dirt from inside the
appliance.
3. Dry the interior of the appliance with a
soft cloth.
4. Leave the door open until the inside of
the appliance has dried completely.
Cleaning the probe (on some models only)
After each use, the temperature probe must
be cleaned after it has cooled down. Clean
the tip of the temperature probe (metal part)
with water, neutral dish soap and a soft
sponge. Clean the rest with a soft damp
cloth.
Do not wash it in a dishwasher as it could
damage the electrical components of the
plug.
Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Removing racks/trays support frames
Removing the rack/tray support frames
enables the sides to be cleaned more easily.
To remove the rack/tray support frames:
• Pull the frame towards the inside of the
oven cavity to unhook it from its groove
A, then slide it out of the seats B at the

facilitates the removal of dirt.
Thanks to this process, it is possible
to clean the inside of the oven very
easily. The dirt residues are softened
by the heat and water vapour for
easier removal afterwards.
We recommend spraying approx.
20 times at the most.
Do not spray the deflector if it is
coated with self-cleaning material.
If the internal temperature is higher
than the required temperature, the
function will not be activated and
each time the button is pressed,
the appliance will emit an audible
warning and the message "Hot" will
appear.
Let the appliance cool down before
activating the function.
The duration and temperature
parameters cannot be changed by
the user.

abrasive sponge and wash with
lukewarm water.
Replacing the internal light bulb
1. Completely remove all accessories from
inside the oven.
2. Remove the rack/tray support frames.
3. Use a tool (e.g. a spoon) to remove the
bulb cover.
No function can be selected when
the door lock is on.
The door is locked until the
temperature inside the oven cavity
returns to a safe level.
During the Pyrolytic cycle the fans
produce a more intense level of
noise due to a greater rotation
speed. This is an absolutely normal
operation, intended to provide more
effective heat dispersal. At the end
of the pyrolytic cycle, the fans will
continue to operate for long enough
to avoid overheating the walls of
adjacent units and the front of the
oven.
During the first Pyrolytic cycle,
unpleasant odours may occur due to
the normal evaporation of oily
manufacturing substances. This is
an absolutely normal phenomenon
which disappears after the first
pyrolytic cycle.
If the pyrolytic cycle gives
unsatisfactory results at minimum
duration, it is recommended to set a
longer time for subsequent cleaning
cycles.
No function can be selected when
the door lock is on. It is always
possible to switch the appliance off,
by turning the function knob to the 0
position.
We recommend wearing rubber
gloves for these operations.
For easier manual cleaning of parts
that are difficult to reach, we
recommend removing the door.
