REPLACEMENT INFORMATION
Filter should be replaced every 6 months (sooner if noticeable pressure drop occurs).
Note: Before changing filter, turn off or bypass incoming water supply. Place a bucket under
filter to catch the small amount of water that will run out after housing removal.
1. Shut off water.
Note: For filter housings with built-in valve in head, turn valve on filter head to the “OFF”
position. At this position, the water will be shut off.
2. Relieve pressure in filter housing by pushing red vent button (if present).
3. Unscrew housing and remove old filter. Wash housing thoroughly with soap and water.
Rinse thoroughly.
4. Insert new filter and ensure the filter is seated in the center of the housing before tightening
onto head.
5. Hand-tighten housing onto head until snug. If necessary, use filter wrench to fully tighten
the housing and ensure a good seal. DO NOT OVER-TIGTHEN.
6. Turn on water either from shut-off valve and/or incoming and outgoing valves. If any leaks
appear, tighten housing and check pipe connections as needed.
7. Flush system for five (5) minutes.
INFORMACIÓN ACERCA DEL REEMPLAZO
El filtro se debe reemplazar cada 6 meses (antes si se presenta una reducción evidente
de la presión).
Nota: Antes de cambiar el filtro, cierre o desvíe el suministro de entrada del agua. Coloque una
cubeta debajo del filtro para recoger le pequeña cantidad de agua que va a correr después de
haber quitado la cubierta.
1. Cierre el agua.
Nota: Para cubiertas del filtros dotadas de válvula empotrada en la tapa, gire la válvula que
está en la tapa del filtro a la posición de apagado. En esta posición, el agua estará cerrada.
2. Alivie la presión (si la hay) en la cubierta del filtro empujando el botón rojo de ventilación.
3. Destornille la carcasa y retire el filtro antiguo. Lave la carcasa minuciosamente con jabón y
agua. Enjuague completamente.
4. Inserte el filtro nuevo y asegúrese de que está colocado en el centro de la carcasa antes de
apretarlo al cabezal.
5. Apriete manualmente la carcasa al cabezal hasta que quede ajustada. Si es necesario, utilice
la llave del filtro para apretar por completo la carcasa y garantizar un sellado correcto. NO
APRIETE EN EXCESO.
6. Abra el suministro de agua desde la válvula de cierre o las válvulas de entrada y de salida. Si
se presenta alguna filtración, apriete la carcasa y verifique las conexiones de las tuberías
según sea necesario.
7. Enjuague el sistema con agua por cinco (5) minutos.
