The drawer must have an anti-slip liner before placing the organization boards into the drawer.
Position the holders in their desired location on the board.
Insert the screws using a T20 TORX® screwdriver and tighten just enough to keep the holder from turning. Warning: it is recommended that
the torque on the screw does not exceed 10 in. lbs. Excessive force will strip the hole, and it will no longer function properly.
Can a hole be reused after the screw has been removed?
The screws are thread forming and designed specifically for plastics. When the screw is inserted for the first time in a hole, it will form
threads in the hole. A screw can be removed and reinserted several times (important not to apply excessive force).
My tools are often covered with grease and oils after use. Are the boards and holders resistant to grease and oil?
Both the boards and holders provide good resistance to most chemicals including brake fluid, motor oil, and gasoline.
Can the boards be cut to a custom size?
If you want to achieve a custom fit, cut the board as per the following steps.
Measure the width and depth of the drawer.
Example:
Depth measures 25-1/4
"
Measure from the back (bottom)
of the drawer to the front
(top of trim)
Lay the board on a bench top or table top. Clamp
a straight edge on the board for the jig saw to run
against. Align the straight edge so that the cutting
blade lines up with the “cut line.”
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL THE SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS THAT
CAME WITH YOUR JIG SAW. BE ESPECIALLY ATTENTIVE TO WEARING SAFETY GLASSES,
PROTECTIVE GLOVES, AND FOLLOW THE ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Mark the cut line on the board. It is recommended
that the board be cut between two rows of holes;
if needed, cut the board slightly smaller than your
measurement.
Example:
Cut line adjusted to 25-1/8
"
It is recommended that you use a jig saw with a 10 TPI (2.5mm) “wood” cutting blade.
