CAUTION
1. Please read and retain these safety instructions.
2. Heed all warnings in the operating instructions and on the appliance.
3. Do not use this apparatus near water or moisture.
4. Clean only with a dry cloth.
5. Do not install near sources of heat such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other apparatus that produce heat
(such as amplifiers).
6. To completely disconnect this equipment from the AC mains disconnect the circuit breaker.
7. Refer all serving to authorized personnel. Completely disconnect the power from AC mains before serving.
8. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way including: Impact damage, power cord/
supply damage, liquid spillages, small objects falling into the unit or exposure to moisture. In addition please refer
to authorised service personnel if the apparatus is not operating normally.
9. This is a CLASS 1 device and shall be connected to a mains with a protective earth connection.

SURGE ELIMINATOR & POWER CONDITIONER
Installation Instructions:
Line Connection
CAUTION
: The SXN1230 must only be connected to a 20
Amp 240 Volt single-phase AC circuit. This product
must not be connected to two-phase 208 Volt or split-
phase 240 Volt service (such as a 115-0-115 service).
The SurgeX SXN1230 product is rated at a load capacity of 20
Amps and shall be wired only by qualified Electricians using
4mm

conductors and the cable should comply with IEC or EN
related requirements (such as IEC/EN60811,etc). Any type
of conductor suitable for use in wet or dry locations shall be
considered acceptable if local Code permits. The circuit must
be protected by a 20 Amp circuit breaker.
Connect the electrical service (line) to the SurgeX as follows:
• Live (Brown) wire to the terminal labeled “LINE”
• Neutral (Blue) wire to the terminal labeled “NEUTRAL”
• Earth (Yellow Green) wire to the terminal labeled “GROUND”
Connect the equipment (load) to the SurgeX as follows:
• Live (Brown) wire to the terminal labeled “LOAD”
• Neutral (Blue) wire to the terminal labeled “NEUTRAL”
• Earth (Yellow Green) wire to the terminal labeled “GROUND”
Indicator Light
There is a green indicator light on the front of the unit. This
green light is a Self-Test indicator that indicates power is
applied to the unit and the internal surge protection circuitry is
fully functional.
