INSTALLATION
Suggested Speaker Wire
Use burial-rated wire when installing your speakers. Use 16 or better gauge wire for up to 100
foot installations, 14 or better gauge wire for 100 to 200 foot installations, and 12 or better gauge
wire for 200 to 300 foot installations. Using smaller wire than the recommended can degrade the
performance of the speakers over longer distances. Below is an estimated signal loss chart based on
distance and gauge of wire used.
Nominal Impedance Chart
The chart below shows the nominal impedance for installations using a standard multichannel or
2-channel amplifier.
Wire Gauge >20% Power Loss
12 ~625 feet
14 ~400 Feet
16 ~250 Feet
18 ~200 Feet
4.1 8 ohm
6.1 6 ohm
8.1 4 ohm
8.2 3.5 ohm

Satellite Speakers
1. Place the satellites and subwoofer in their approximate final locations, with satellites being about
8 to 10 feet apart from each other.
2. Dig a 5” trench to run the speaker wires in. Be sure to check local codes for trenching limitations.
3. Run your speaker wire through the trench from the amp to the first speaker location.
INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
Satellite Speakers
Remove the speaker head from the stake, and place the included hammer cap onto the stake with the
arrow facing the direction the speaker will be facing. Use the rubber mallet to drive the stake into the
ground, leaving enough room to thread the wires from the speaker head through the hole in the stake.
background
INSTALLATION
Satellite Speakers
Feed the wire through the top of the stake and
out through the hole in the back of the stake.
Then reattach the speaker head to the stake
using the bolt and allen wrench.

INSTALLATION
Subwoofer
After digging a hole that the subwoofer can be placed approximately halfway into or placing the
subwoofer on the ground, use the included tent stakes and a rubber mallet to secure the subwoofer to
the ground. This step is not required if just placing on concrete or a wooden deck.
