Thesanderhasareciprocatingpadandproducesasmoothand

professionalfinishtomostsurfaces.Suitableforremovingpaintand

Abrasivepapercanbeheldby2clampsorPSApaper.Donotusethe

toolforanyotherpurposethanthatforwhichitwasdesigned.Donot

Speedcanbevariedbythetrigger(23).Alwaysdisconnectairsupply

whenchangingsandpaper.Applylightpressuretotheworkareaand

Toolsofthisclassoperateonawiderangeofairpressures.Itis

recommendedthat airpressure ofthese toolsmeasures 90PSI

atthetoolwhilerunningfree. Higher pressure and unclean air

will shorten tool life because of faster wear and may create a

hazardouscondition.

Waterintheairlinewillcausedamagetothetool.Draintheair

tank daily. Clean the air inlet filter screen on at least a weekly

schedule.Therecommendedhook-upprocedurecanbeviewed

inFigure1.

Theairinlet,usedforconnectingairsupply,hasstandard1/4"NPT

AmericanThread.

Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensateforunusually

longairhoses(over25feet).Minimumhosediametershouldbe

3/8"I.D.andfittingsshouldhavethesameinsidedimensions.

TrOuBleshOOTIng

Otherfactorsoutsidethetoolmaycauselossofpowerorerratic

action.Reducedcompressoroutput,excessivedrainontheairline,

moistureorrestrictionsinairpipesortheuseofhoseconnections

of improper size or poor conditions may reduce air supply. If

outside conditions are in order, and the tool still performs

erratically, disconnect tool from hose and take tool to your

nearestMatcoauthorizedservicecenter.

luBrIcaTIOn & MaInTenance

Lubricate the tool daily with a good grade of air tool oil. If no

air line oiler is used, run 1/2 ounce of oil through the tool. The

oilcanbe squirtedintothe toolairinlet orintothehose atthe

nearest connection to the air supply, then run the tool. A rust

inhibitiveoilisacceptableforairtools.

EL INCUMPLIMIENTO DE OBSERVAR ESTAS ADVERTENCIAS PUEDEN

RESULTAR EN ALGUNA LESIÓN

OPERACIÓN

La lijadora tiene una almohadilla oscilante y permite obtener un

acabado suave y profesional en la mayoría de las superficies. Resulta

adecuada para remover pintura y óxido de superficies metálicas,

suavizar bordes, darle forma a superficies soldadas, incluyendo

superficies de madera y fibra de vidrio para su posterior acabado.

El papel abrasivo puede sujetarse mediante 2 abrazaderas o papel

adhesivo sensible a la presión (PSA, por sus siglas en inglés). No utilice

la herramienta para ningún otro propósito que no sea aquel para el cual

se ha diseñado. No la modifique para ningún otro fin.

La velocidad puede regularse con el gatillo (23). Desconecte siempre

el suministro de aire al cambiar el papel de lija. Aplique una leve

presión sobre el área de trabajo para que el papel de lija le permita

obtener el acabado deseado.

Tome los recaudos necesarios al lijar bordes afilados para evitar el

corte del papel de lija o la almohadilla. Cambie el papel cuando esté

deteriorado o atascado. Utilice papel de lija del tamaño específico de

la almohadilla.

Controle el filtro de entrada de aire en forma periódica y elimine todos

los contaminantes.

Cualquieraguaenlalíneadeairedañarálaherramienta.Drene

diariamente el tanque de aire. Limpie al menos semanalmente

la malla de filtración de la ventila de admisión de aire. El

La presión de línea debe ser aumentada para compensar por

dIagnÓsTIcO de aVerÍas

Otros factores independientes de la herramienta pueden

luBrIcacIÓn & ManTenIMIenTO

Lubriquediariamentelaherramientaconalgúnaceitedebuena

calificaciónparaherramientasneumáticas.Sinoseusaningún

engrasador de línea de aire, deje caer 1/2 oz. de aceite por

la herramienta. Se puede lanzar un chorro de aceite por la

ventiladeadmisióndeairedelaherramienta,Figura2,oporla
