Getting Started
1. Prepare Your Projector
You can position your projector in the following ways.
Front: The projector is placed on the table in front of the screen.
This is the most common way to position the projector for quick
setup and portability.
Rear: The projector is placed on the table behind the screen. A
special rear projector screen is required.
Front Ceiling: The projector is suspended upside-down in front of
the screen. The ceiling/wall mount kit is required.
Rear Ceiling: The projector is suspended upside-down from behind
the screen. A special rear projector screen and ceiling/wall mount
kit are required.
After powering on the projector, press the Settings button
on the projector, then go to [Projector] > [Advanced
Settings] > [Projector Mode] and select a setting.
It is unnecessary to tilt the projector toward the projection
surface. This device is featured with auto focus and auto
keystone correction.
You may also install the projector onto a tripod (sold
separately).
The distance between the projector lens and the screen
determines the projection image size.

2. Connect to Power
Connect the power cord to NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE and then to the
power supply.
When successfully connected to the power supply, the power button on
the projector will light up in red.

3. Power On/Off
Power On: Press the power button once.
*When the projector is powered on, the power button will turn steady
blue.
Power Off:
Step 1: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds (wait for
on-screen prompt).
Step 2: Confirm power off with the remote control or wait 20
seconds for automatic power off.
Standby Mode: Short press the power button to enter standby
mode.

4. Prepare the Remote
Slide to open the battery compartment.
Insert new batteries matching the polarity (+/-) and close the battery
compartment.

For first-time use, follow the on-screen instructions to pair the
remote with your projector.
The distance between the remote and the projector should
not exceed 10 m / 33 ft.

5. Connect the Projector with the Remote Control
After powering on the projector, follow the on-screen instructions to pair
your remote control with the projector.
Place the remote control within 20cm of the projector.
Press and hold the confirm and volume down buttons for several
seconds until the prompt of successful Bluetooth connection appears.
Activating Google Assistant via remote control is
unavailable without Bluetooth connection.

6. Auto Focus and Auto Keystone Correction
How to trigger auto focus:
a. Press the [Auto image adjustment] button on the remote control.
b. Auto-trigger upon powering on.
c. Auto-trigger after moving the projector.
How to perform manual focus:
Go to [Settings] > [Projector] > [Focus Settings] > [Manual Focus
Correction].
How to trigger Auto Keystone Correction:
After enabling Auto Keystone Correction in [Settings] > [Projector]
> [Image Correction] > [Auto Keystone Correction Settings], Auto
Keystone Correction will be triggered in the following scenarios:
a. Pressing the [Auto image adjustment] button on the remote control.
b. Auto-trigger upon powering on.
c. Auto-trigger after moving the projector.
How to perform manual keystone correction:
Go to [Settings] > [Projector] > [Image Correction] > [Perform Manual
Keystone Correction].

Nebula Connect App
To easily control the projector, we recommend you download the
Nebula Connect app.

Nebula Connect
Download the Nebula Connect app from the App Store (iOS devices)
or Google Play (Android devices).
Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
Open the Nebula Connect app and select [NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE]
as the device to be connected.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete connection setup.
Settings
Go through the setup process when you power on the projector for the
first time.
1. Network
This projector can be connected to the Internet via a wireless (Wi-Fi)
connection.
On the home page, select [Settings] > [Network & Internet] and
press confirm.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the network
connection.

2. Projector
On the home page, select [Settings] > [Projector] and press confirm.
[Image Correction]
Auto Keystone Correction Settings
[Auto Keystone Correction By Remote]: Enable or
disable auto keystone correction by remote.
[Auto Keystone Correction At Startup]: Automatically
perform keystone correction when the projector
powers on.
[Auto Keystone Correction After Movement]:
Automatically perform keystone correction when you
move the projector.
[Real Time Keystone Correction]: During the
movement of the device, it continuously and quickly
performs keystone correction to transform the image
into a rectangular shape.
[Auto Screen Fit]: Enable or disable auto screen fit
(applicable to screens with black borders on all four
sides).
[Auto Obstacle Avoidance]: Enable or disable auto
obstacle avoidance.
[Perform Manual Keystone Correction]: Manually
perform keystone correction by adjusting each corner.
[One-click Image Correction]: Automatically adjust
the image to a rectangle.
[Zoom]: Zoom in or out of the projection image from
50% to 100%.
[Focus Settings]
[Auto Focus At Startup]: Automatically adjust the
focus when the projector powers on.
[Auto Focus After Movement]: Automatically adjust
the focus when you move the projector.
[Manual Focus Correction]: Perform manual focus
correction.

[Advanced
Settings]
[Eye Guard]: Eye Guard protects your eyes from
bright light from the projector display.
[Wall Color Adaptation]: This feature allows you to
achieve more accurate colors when projecting onto
colored walls.
[Projection Mode]: Select a way of placing the
projector.
[Auto]: Automatically detects whether the
projector is inverted. Automatically switch
between these options.
[Front]: The device is located in front of the
projection surface.
[Front Ceiling]: The device is hanging from the
ceiling in an upside-down position. The image
is rotated by 180 degrees.
[Rear]: The device is located behind the
projection surface.
[Rear Ceiling]: The device is hanging from the
ceiling in an upside-down position behind the
projection surface. The image is rotated by 180
degrees and horizontally mirrored.
[Motion Settings]: Set a sensitivity level for the
G-sensor to trigger auto focus and auto keystone
correction after movement.
[Smart Solutions]: Receive alerts when issues are
detected.
[Projection Issue Alerts]: Receive alerts when
issues are detected.
[Fine Tuning Popup]: Receive a popup after
Seamless Auto Keystone Correction.
[Nebula Smart Popup]: Receive prompts when
the projector status changes.
[Laser Overheating Protection]: Detect
obstacles at close range and automatically
reduce brightness to prevent overheating

[Turn on the Bluetooth Speaker Mode]: Enable to
use the projector as a Bluetooth speaker.
[Speaker Delay]: To synchronize the sound
with the image, adjust the sound delay by 10
milliseconds for each operation.
[Expert Settings]: Customize advanced settings to
enhance audio quality.
eARC: Supports the connection of external
devices such as sound systems for audio
return capabilities.
Audio Output
[Auto]: Automatically select the best audio output
mode.
[Bypass]: Pass the digital audio signal through
without processing it, allowing the connected
device to decode the audio.
[PCM]: Output audio in PCM format.
[Dolby Digital Plus]: Output audio in the Dolby
Digital Plus format.

[Digital Output Delay]: Adjust the delay of the

On the home page, select [Settings] > [Apps] ,and press confirm.
Select an app and check the current version, open or force stop the
app, check the storage used, clear data or cache, uninstall the app, or
enable or disable notifications and permissions.
4. System
On the home page, select [Settings] > [System] and press confirm.
[Acessibility]
Change the caption settings or enable accessibility
service.
[About]
Check the product information, update the system,
reset the device, or rename the device.
[Date & Time]
Enable or disable automatic date and time. Manually
set date and time, select time zone, or set time
format.
[Language] Select an on-screen display language.
[Keyboard]
Check and manage keyboards.
[Storage]
Check the device storage and free up storage.
[Ambient Mode]
Set your preferences to display photos, weather,
and time on your Google TV.
[Power & Energy]
Change the auto-sleep settings, choose the power
on behavior, turn off the current display, or set auto
power-off time when no signal is available.
[System Sounds]
Turn on/off system sound notifications.
[Restart]
Restart the system.

Using Your Projector
1. Select an App
Once connected to a wireless network, you can access online services,
enjoy movies, music and pictures, and browse online. You can
download more apps from Google Play.
Press home page icon to access the home page.
Select [Apps] > [Search for apps and games].
2. Voice Assistant
After pairing your remote control with the projector via Bluetooth,
press the Google Assistant button on the remote, you can speak to the
Google Assistant and request your commands.
3. Wireless Casting
You can wirelessly cast movies, games, music, and entire screen from
your iOS, macOS, Android, or Windows device to NEBULA Cosmos 4K
SE.
3.1 Cast In-App Content
You can cast content from apps that support Chromecast, such as
YouTube and Prime Video.
Connect your device and projector to the same wireless network.
Open the streaming app on your device.
Play a video clip and tap the cast icon on the video screen.
Select NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE to connect. The projector will mirror
the video screen on your device.

To cast in-app content, make sure you are using the
same streaming service account on both the mobile
phone and the projector.
Certain content cannot be cast on NEBULA Cosmos
4K SE due to copyright restrictions. You can stream the
content via the same app installed on your projector.
3.2 Cast Device Screen
You can cast the entire screen from your device to the projector.
Before that, please ensure NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE and your device are
connected to the same wireless network.
For iOS devices:
1. Install the Nebula Cast app on your projector.
2. Open Nebula Cast app and follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the process.
3. Access the Control Center of your device and click Screen Mirror
icon.
4. Click on "NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE" in the device list.
For Android devices:
1. Enter Google Home APP and select "NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE".
2. Tap [Cast my screen] icon on the page.

4. Play from HDMI / USB Devices
This projector supports connections with vairous HDMI playback
devices such as TV sticks, TV boxes, DVD players, set-top boxes (STB),
game consoles, or other devices.
With this projector, you can also enjoy music, video, and pictures that
are stored on a USB storage device (not inlcuded).
AC IN HDMI1 USB AUXHDMI2/eARC
The HDMI2/eARC port supports the connection of external
devices such as sound systems for audio return capabilities.
5. Bluetooth Speaker Mode
The projector can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker.
1. Go to [Settings] > [Display & Sound] > [Sound] > [Bluetooth
Speaker Mode] to switch your Nebula projector from Projector
Mode to Bluetooth Speaker Mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and select [NEBULA
Cosmos 4K SE] as the device to be connected.
To exit Bluetooth Speaker Mode, press the return button on
the remote control.

6. Connect the Projector to an External Bluetooth
Speaker
1. Turn on your Bluetooth speaker and set it to pairing mode (refer to
your speaker's manual for specific instructions as the process may
vary).
2. Go to [Settings] > [Remotes & Accessories] in the project's
settings. Find your Bluetooth speaker's name and select it to pair.
3. Once paired successfully, the projector's audio will be output
through the external Bluetooth speaker.
Other Bluetooth accessories can also be connected to the projector via
the above-mentioned process.
System Update
To fully enhance your experience with this product with the latest
features, you are recommended to update the system from time to
time.
To update the system, go to [Settings] > [System] > [About] > [System
update].
Troubleshooting
Cannot Charge
• Use the included adapter and charging cable to charge the
projector.
Cannot Connect to a Wi-Fi Network
• Place your projector within 16 ft / 5 m of the router and reconnect.
Set your router to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz and retry.
• Restart your projector and router and retry.
• Try a different Wi-Fi network or your phone's hotspot.

Blurry Image
Ensure that the Camera/TOF on the front panel is not blocked or
dirty.
Slightly move the projector or press the auto focus icon on the
remote to start auto focus.
To manually adjust the focus, go to [Settings] > [Projector] > [Focus
Settings] > [Manual Focus Correction], and use left and right on
the remote.
Adjust the projection angle and direction as well as the height of
the projector if necessary.
For auto-focus to function properly, the distance between the
projector and the screen should be between 1.5 to 4 meters.
Auto Keystone Correction Failed
Ensure that the Camera/TOF on the front panel is not blocked or
dirty.
The best automatic keystone correction distance is 1.0-4.0m,
horizontal ±30°@3m/ ±10°@4m.
Auto Screen Fit Failed
Ensure the screen is rectangular with black borders.
Check if the screen color contrasts sharply with the borders; avoid
using screens that are close to black in color.
Ensure the distance between the screen and the projector is within
4 m.
Ensure the screen border width is 5mm.
Ensure the projected image covers the entire screen.
Ensure the screen size is at least 10% larger than the projection
area.
Ensure the central grid is within the screen and not obstructed.
If auto screen fit failed, you can perform manual keystone
correction via [Settings] > [Projector] > [Image Correction] >
[Perform Manual Keystone Correction].

Eye Guard Failed
Ensure that the Camera/TOF on the front panel is not blocked or
dirty.
Eye Guard feature works best at at a distance of 10 cm to 4 m.
Go to [Settings] > [Projector] > [Advanced Settings] > [Eye Guard]
and check if the feature has been enabled.
Wall Color Adaptation Failed
Ensure that the Camera/TOF on the front panel is not blocked or
dirty.
Ensure the image is projected onto a light-colored wall (color
temperature between 3500K and 15000K, color coordinates within
0.45).
No HDMI Signal
Use a different HDMI cable.
Connect your projector with another HDMI playback device.
Connect the HDMI playback device to your TV via HDMI cable to
check if the device or cable malfunctions.
Adjust the HDMI playback device's output resolution / frequency to
be the same as the projector's.
No Sound Output from External Speakers
Check if the projector is set to mute mode.
Check if the projector's "HDMI2/eARC" port or Bluetooth is
connected to an external audio device.
How to Control Netflix with Mouse Mode
• Install Nebula Connect on your phone and connect with NEBULA
Cosmos 4K SE. Select Mouse mode. Use one finger to move and
click, or two fingers to scroll.
How to Play Videos without Wi-Fi
Download videos to a USB drive in FAT32 format. For the following
steps, see Play Videl from HDMI / USB Devices.
