INSTRUCTIONS (Instructions are general for all B-3 Models. Some of the below information may not
pertain to your specific model. Check list above for parts and accessories that go with your particular
machine):

• Insert the grounded Power Supply Cord into a grounded outlet.
o IMPORTANT: THE PRODUCT MUST BE GROUNDED.
o WARNING: INPROPER CONNECTION OF THE EQUIPMENT GROUNDING
CONDUCTOR CAN RESULT IN A RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
• Fit the hose over the steel tube protruding from the front-end cap of the power unit. Tighten the
adjustable clamp to keep the hose securely on the dryer.
• Start the blower:
o 1-Speed: Push the On/Off Switch from left to right.
o Variable: Turn knob from low, clockwise to high.
• Attach or remove the attachments to or from the hose to control the air velocity.
• For even greater air flow, the hose cuff on the blower end screws off in a counterclockwise
direction and screws back on in a clockwise direction.
CAUTION: If your machine has suction but does not clean when the hose is attached, remove the
hose from the suction end and place it on the blower end. Blow out the hose, it may be clogged.

Air Force Mounting Bracket Instructions (bracket sold separately: AFBR-1):
PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY TO MOUNT THE BRACKET PROPERLY.
FOR STEEL GROOMING TABLES:
1. Place Bracket 11” from end of the table and ½” from the front of the table.
2. Mark 4 holes where indicated.
3. With A ¼” drill bit and electric drill create ¼” holes.

4. Mount bracket with the screws and nuts supplied for steel grooming tables.
5. After the Mounting plate has been secured and tightened, place blower on mounting plate and slide
dryer (see illustration) until legs lock into place.
6. After dryer is locked into place, screw into threaded hole on side of the bracket to avoid movement
of the dryer as a result of vibration.

FOR WOODEN GROOMING TABLES:
1. Place bracket 11” from end of the table and ½” from the front of the table.
2. Mark 4 holes where indicated.
3. Attach bracket with 4 self-tapping wood screws.
4. Follow steps 5 & 6 as described above.

TO MOUNT ON WALL
1. Place Air Force Mounting Bracket on the wall where desired with open portion of bracket in upright
position.
2. With bracket as template, mark 4 holes where indicated.
3. With a Phillips head screwdriver or “punch” create holes in sheetrock.
4. Attach bracket with 4 self-tapping wood screws and mollies (supplied).
5. After the mounting plate has been secured and tightened, place blower on mounting plate and slide
dryer (see illustration) until legs lock into place.
6. When the dryer is locked into place screw into threaded hole on side of the bracket to avoid
movement of the dryer as a result of vibration.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MOUNTING BRACKET IS SECURE AND CAN
HANDLE THE WEIGHT AND PULLING THAT MIGHT OCCUR DURING THE NORMAL USAGE OF THIS
PRODUCT. METRO WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DRYERS THAT ARE DAMAGED AS A
RESULT OF IMPROPER BRACKET MOUNTING.
Replacing carbon brushes (ABC-3: should be changed after about 500 hours of use):
1. Remove front endcap.
2. Find wire going to carbon brush and use flathead screwdriver to loosen tab.
3. Use Philips screwdriver to remove carbon brush mounting bracket.
4. Install tab into new carbon brush and replace mounting bracket.
Replacing / Cleaning Filter (Filter MVC-56F):
1. Pull out filter from backend and replace with new or shake out.
a. You can rinse the filter and reuse, BUT IT MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE
PUTTING BACK INTO THE MACHINE.
b. Replace it with a new filter after 3 rinses.
WARRANTY:
This machine carries a Five Year Limited* Warranty.
The Five-Year Warranty includes the unit and the motor.*
There is also a One Year Warranty* on Parts, Switches, and Cords.
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, including installation, with the exceptions
stated below:
*MetroVac will repair or replace any defective or malfunctioning part* at no charge. If the machine is not
repairable, it will be replaced.
*Mechanical alterations made to the machine will void the warranty.
*Warranty does not cover carbon brushes, carbon brush wear, filters, or general maintenance.

*The warranty does not cover physical damage made to the machine from tampering with or attempting to
take the appliance apart, improper electrical connections, or water damage.
*Customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from our facility.
***Even if the product is beyond the warranty period, we suggest you send the unit back to our
factory for expert repairs and maintenance at reasonable rates. Please click the following link to

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury Do not leave appliance when plugged
in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
Do not allow it to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
Do not use it with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or
corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
Do not put any object into the openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair,
and anything that may reduce air flow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
Do not use without dustbag and/or filters in place.
Turn off controls before unplugging.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be
present.
To avoid electric shock, do not use it on wet surfaces, do not expose to rain; store indoors.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
This plug will fit into an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any
way.
For a grounded appliance: "Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions."
