OMEN component installation information
For assistance in preparing your gaming desktop, or for additional
technical information and detailed guidelines:
• For installing your OMEN gaming desktop, you can nd
removal and replacement videos at
http://www.hp.com/go/hardwarevideos. You can also scan
the QR code to the HP Support Channel to nd the video. Some
components such as hard drives, graphics cards, and memory
modules might require specic cabling or installation sequences,
which are described in the Maintenance and Service Guide.
• For installation with other desktop brands, ensure that you
follow the installation guidelines provided by your desktop
manufacturer to avoid installation issues.
Before you begin
To determine the compatibility of this product with your
gaming desktop, view the QuickSpecs at
http://www.hp.com/go/productbulletin.
You are responsible for determining whether the product is
appropriate for your use and will interface with other equipment
without malfunction or damage. You are also responsible for
backing up data before installing any product and for regularly
backing up data after installing the product. HP is not liable for
any damage to equipment or data loss resulting from the use of
any product. To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to
equipment, pay attention to all warnings and cautions throughout
the installation process.
If you are using the OMEN Modular Hub, you must download and
install the OMEN Gaming Hub. To do so, search for OMEN Gaming
Hub in the Microsoft Store, and select Get.
If your gaming desktop uses a third-party system board, a utility
provided by your system board manufacturer might provide
additional functionality.
