1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this equipment.
9 Familiarise yourself with the application and limitations of the product, as well as potential hazards peculiar to the use of the thermometer.
9 Keep the thermometer clean for best and safest performance.
9 Store the thermometer with the protective cover in place over the probe when not in use.
9 When not in use, store in a safe, dry, childproof area.
8 DO NOT use equipment for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the thermometer.
8 DO NOT use the thermometer to test objects above 270ºC.
2. INTRODUCTION
High precision digital stainless steel temperature probe. Large LCD digital screen for clear and accurate readings. Measurements
displayed in both °C and °F. Measurement range -50°C to 270°C (-58°F to 518°F). Auto-power-off after 8mins. Powered by 2 x LR44
batteries (supplied) with low power indication. Ideal for testing automotive air conditioning output.

4. OPERATION
4.1. Remove the protective cover from the probe. Check that batteries are in place (See Section 5.4).
4.2. Turn the thermometer ON by pressing the ON/OFF button. The display will show all its symbols momentarily and then revert to
displaying current trempedrature reading.
4.3. Position the probe tip in the required location and once the tip of the probe has sensed the temperature, the display will change to
display the measured temperature.
4.4. To switch the temperature display between Centigrade and Fahrenheit, press the ºC/ºF button.
4.5. Turn the thermometer OFF by pressing the ON/OFF button again. NOTE: Current readings are not held in memory when the thermometer
is turned off.
4.6. When the battery levels drop to a low level and needs replacing, the screen will display . Refer to section 5.4 for detail.
4.7. If the thermometer is on but not in use, it will turn itself off after approximately 8 minutes.
5. MAINTENANCE
5.1. After use, clean the probe and body with cloth dampened in warm water and replace the protective cover.
5.2. If the display appears fuzzy or faded, the battery should be replaced. (1.5V, LR44 or equivalent)
5.3. This item does not have any serviceable parts. DO NOT dismantle or attempt to modify the unit. This will invalidate the warranty.
5.4. BATTERY REMOVAL
5.5. Remove the batteries from the thermometer by sliding out the battery compartment cover on the back of the casing. Ease the batteries
out of the battery compartment.

6. END OF LIFE
6.1. Remove batteries as detailed in Section 5.4. Dispose of batteries and body in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When
the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any uids (if applicable) into approved
containers and dispose of the product and uids according to local regulations.
