Cord and Plug Safety
1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risk of becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord

least equal to the electrical rating of the appliance
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or

This unit has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other) To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is
intended to be used by inserting it into the electrical outlet
only one way If the plug does not fit securely into the
outlet, reverse the plug and re-insert If it still does not fit,

Before first use
1. Remove all packaging material Check to ensure all parts are included
before discarding any packaging
2. Unwind the power cord from below the power base
3. Wash the kettle, kettle lid and tea infuser with warm soapy water and a soft
sponge Rinse and dry thoroughly
4. Place the kettle on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface
• Overfilling the kettle will cause the kettle to overflow and may result in
burns or scalding
• Inserting or removing the tea infuser hook into the latch requires
extreme care and caution Hot steam will emit from the kettle upon
opening the lid Insert and remove the infuser carefully to avoid burns
WARNING:
Priming the Kettle
Before first use, we recommend running a brew cycle with water, then discarding
the water This ensures all dust and residue have been removed from the kettle
1. Open the lid and fill the kettle with water to the MAX line
WarnInG: Overfilling the kettle will cause the kettle to overflow while
brewing and may result in burns or scalding
2. Close the lid and place the kettle securely on its base Plug the power cord
into the outlet
3. Tap Start / StoP
4. Tap BoIL / BLaCK
5. Tap Start / StoP again
6. The display will show the temperature of water as it rises (water will reach
100° C / 212° F)
7. After boiling, empty the kettle and rinse it with clean water
8. The kettle is ready for use
USING YOUR KETTLE
The kettle is designed with six presets, customizable temperature, 3-hour Keep
Warm, and comes with a removable tea infuser The following section will guide
you to total mastery over the kettle’s features

Making tea
1. Remove the tea infuser by opening the lid, lifting the infuser, and placing it
on a flat, dry surface
2. Fill the kettle with water above the MIN line and below the MAX line
3. Place the kettle securely on its base Plug the power cord into an outlet
4. Touch Start / StoP to activate all other functions
5. Select your desired preset Alternatively, you can choose your own preferred
temperature by tapping the plus and minus icons on the control panel
note: KeeP WarM will be turned on by default To turn o KeeP WarM, tap
KeeP WarM It will deactivate See Keeping Warm on page 11 to adjust the
keep warm temperature
6. Touch Start / StoP The kettle will begin heating up, and the presets
not chosen will fade from the Control Panel The display will show the
temperature of the water as it rises
7. As water is heating, pick up your tea infuser and fill it with either loose tea or
tea bags (the amount of tea should correspond to the amount of water in the
kettle)
8. When the desired temperature of the kettle is reached, the unit will beep
Open the lid carefully and, while holding the tea infuser by the hook, reinsert
it into the latch
WarnInG: Hot steam will emit from the kettle upon opening the lid and the
kettle will be hot Use extreme caution when reinserting the tea infuser
9. Close the lid and tap StoP / Start to steep tea The brew time will count
down on the display
note: Brewing time is based o the tea type See Preset Chart on page 10
for more information
10. When tea is finished brewing, carefully open the lid, lift out the tea infuser,
and close the lid again
11. The kettle is detachable for easy serving Simply lift the kettle o its base
and pour
note: If extra tea remains in the kettle after serving, place the kettle back on
its base to keep warm for up to 3 hours (see page 11 for more about Keep
Warm)
12. Turn the kettle o by tapping StoP / Start, then unplug the power cord
from the outlet

The kettle has six presets: Delicate Tea, Green Tea, White Tea, Oolong Tea,
Coee & Boil/Black Each preset has a dierent brew temperature and brew

Making Coee
To make coee, follow the instructions under Making tea on page 9 but replace
the tea bags or tea leaves with coee Select the Coffee preset before
brewing
note: Use medium to coarse grinds when brewing coee in the kettle Avoid fine
grinds
Boiling Water
To boil water, open the lid, remove the tea infuser, and fill the kettle with water
Close the lid and place the kettle securely on its base Tap Start / StoP Tap
BoIL / BLaCK or choose your own temperature by pressing plus and minus
icons on the control panel Tap Start / StoP again The kettle will beep when
done
Keeping Warm
KeeP WarM will be on by default To deactivate KeeP WarM, tap KeeP
WarM once The icon will disappear from the screen To adjust the keep warm
temperature, press KeeP WarM for 3 seconds before beginning to boil Adjust
the keep warm temperature from 40°C-85°C / 100°F-190°F by tapping the plus
and minus icons on the control panel
The keep warm time is 3 hours If the kettle is removed from its base, KeeP
WarM will pause If the kettle is securely back on its base within 5 minutes, the
keep warm time will resume automatically After 3 hours, the kettle will go into
standby mode Only Start / StoP will be visible, pulsing on the control panel

Descaling
After using the kettle for a while, limescale will begin to build up inside the
appliance It is important to descale the appliance every 2-3 months If the kettle
is used daily, the descaling process should be done monthly
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING:

To keep the kettle running smoothly, it is important to clean the appliance after
every use
KettLe:
When cool, empty the kettle (never let tea stay inside the kettle overnight) and
wipe both the interior and exterior with a soft damp sponge Rinse with warm
water
WarnInG: Allow the kettle to cool before cleaning
tea InfuSer:
Wash the tea infuser with warm, soapy water Use a soft sponge Rinse and dry
thoroughly
ControL PaneL:
Use a damp cloth to clean the control panel and exterior of the kettle
BaSe:
Wipe the base with a soft and damp sponge
1. Fill the kettle with water and
vinegar between the MIN and
MAX marks
2. Tap Start / StoP
3. Tap BoIL / BLaCK to boil
4. Tap Start / StoP again
5. When finished, empty the solution
6. Rinse out the kettle several times
with clean water to eliminate the
smell of vinegar
• always unplug the power cord from the outlet and
allow the kettle to cool before cleaning
• Do not immerse cord, plugs, or kettle in water or other liquid

1. Se proporciona un cable de alimentación corto para reducir el riesgo
de que se enrede o se tropiece si fuera más largo.

3. Si se utiliza un cable de extensión:
• La clasificación eléctrica marcada del cable de extensión debe ser

Clavija eléctrica polarizada
Esta unidad tiene una clavija polarizada (una pata es más
ancha que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descarga
eléctrica, la clavija está diseñada para usarse insertándolo
en el tomacorriente de una sola manera. Si la clavija no
encaja bien en el tomacorriente, inviértala y vuelva a
insertarla. Si aun así no entra, póngase en contacto con un
electricista calificado para obtener ayuda. No modifique la
clavija de ninguna manera.

antes del primer uso
1. Retire todo el material de embalaje. Asegúrese de que vengan todas las
piezas incluidas antes de desechar el embalaje.
2. Desenrolle el cable de alimentación de la parte inferior de la base de
alimentación de energía.
3. Lave el hervidor, la tapa del hervidor y el infusor de té con agua jabonosa
tibia y una esponja suave. Enjuáguelo y séquelo perfectamente.
4. Coloque el hervidor en una superficie plana nivelada, resistente al calor.
• Si llena demasiado el hervidor, ocasionará que éste se desborde y
pueda llegar a provocar quemaduras.
• Insertar o retirar el asa de sujeción del infusor de té en el pestillo

ADVERTENCIA:
preparación del hervidor
Antes del primer uso, recomendamos realizar un ciclo de preparación con agua
y, a continuación, desechar el agua. Esto garantiza que todo el polvo y los
residuos se hayan eliminado del hervidor.
1. Abra la tapa y llene el hervidor con agua hasta la línea MÁX.
aDVertenCia: Si se llena demasiado el hervidor, éste se desbordará
durante la preparación y puede llegar a provocar quemaduras.
2. Cierre la tapa y coloque el hervidor de manera segura en su base. Enchufe
la clavija en el tomacorriente.
3. Toque iniCiar/Detener.
4. Toque HerVir/tÉ neGro.
5. Toque iniCiar/Detener nuevamente.
6. La pantalla mostrará la temperatura del agua a medida que aumenta (el
agua alcanzará los 100 °C/212 °F).
7. Después de hervir, vacíe el hervidor y enjuáguela con agua limpia.
8. El hervidor está ahora listo para su uso.
USO DEL HERVIDOR
El hervidor está diseñado con seis ajustes preconfigurados, temperatura
personalizable, mantenimiento del calor hasta por 3 horas, y viene con un
infusor de té extraíble. La siguiente sección le ayudará a adquirir un dominio
total de las funciones del hervidor.

Cómo preparar té
1. Para retirar el infusor de té abra la tapa, levante el infusor, y colóquelo sobre
una superficie plana y seca.
2. Llene el hervidor con agua por arriba de la línea MÍN y sin que rebase la
línea MÁX.
3. Coloque el hervidor de forma segura en su base. Enchufe la clavija en el
tomacorriente.
4. Toque iniCiar/Detener para activar todas las demás funciones.
5. Seleccione los ajustes preconfigurados que desee. Alternativamente, puede
elegir la temperatura de su preferencia tocando los íconos más y menos en
el panel de control.
nota: Mantener CaLiente se activará de forma predeterminada. Para
desactivar Mantener CaLiente, toque Mantener CaLiente. Así se
desactivará. Consulte Mantener el calor en la página 11 para ajustar la
temperatura de mantener caliente.
6. Toque iniCiar/Detener. El hervidor empezará a calentarse y los ajustes
preconfigurados no seleccionados aparecerán atenuados en el panel de
control. La pantalla mostrará cómo va aumentando la temperatura del agua.
7. A medida que se vaya calentando el agua, tome el infusor de té y llénelo
con hojas de té, o con bolsitas de té (la cantidad de té debe corresponder a
la cantidad de agua en el hervidor).
8. Cuando se alcance la temperatura deseada en el hervidor, la unidad emitirá
un pitido. Abra la tapa con cuidado y, mientras sujeta el infusor de té por el
asa de sujeción, vuelva a insertarlo en el pestillo.
aDVertenCia: Al abrir la tapa del hervidor saldrá vapor caliente, y el
hervidor estará caliente. Tenga mucho cuidado al volver a insertar el infusor
de té.
9. Cierre la tapa y toque Detener/iniCiar para infusionar té. La pantalla
mostrará la cuenta regresiva del tiempo de preparación.
nota: El tiempo de preparación depende del tipo de té. Para obtener más
información, consulte la tabla de ajustes preconfigurados en la página 10.
10. Cuando termine de preparar el té, abra con cuidado la tapa, saque el
infusor de té, y vuelva a cerrar la tapa.
11. El hervidor es desmontable para servir con facilidad. Simplemente levante el
hervidor de su base y vierta el contenido.
nota: Si todavía queda té en el hervidor después de servirlo, vuelva a
colocar el hervidor en su base para mantenerlo caliente durante un máximo
de 3 horas (consulte la página 11 para obtener más información sobre cómo
Mantener caliente).
12. Apague el hervidor tocando Detener/iniCiar, y a continuación,
desenchufe el cable de alimentación del tomacorriente.

blanco, té oolong, café y hervir/té negro. Cada ajuste preconfigurado tiene
una temperatura y un tiempo de preparación diferentes. Consulte la tabla a

Cómo preparar café
Para preparar café, siga las instrucciones en Cómo prepara té en la página 9,
pero reemplace las bolsas de té o las hojas de té con café. Seleccione el ajuste
preconfigurado para CaFÉ antes de proceder a la preparación.
nota: Utilice molido de granos, de medio a grueso, cuando prepare café en el
hervidor. Evite el molido fino.
Hervir agua
Para hervir agua, abra la tapa, retire el infusor de té, y llene el hervidor con
agua. Cierre la tapa y coloque el hervidor de manera segura en su base. Toque
iniCiar/Detener. Toque HerVir/tÉ neGro o elija su propia temperatura
presionando los iconos más y menos en el panel de control. Toque iniCiar/
Detener nuevamente. El hervidor emitirá un pitido cuando haya terminado.
Mantener el calor
Mantener CaLiente estará activado de forma predeterminada. Para
desactivar Mantener CaLiente, toque Mantener CaLiente una vez. El
icono desaparecerá de la pantalla. Para ajustar la temperatura de mantener
caliente, presione Mantener CaLiente durante 3 segundos antes de
empezar a hervir. Ajuste la temperatura de mantener caliente entre 40° C y
85° C/100° F y 190° F tocando los iconos más y menos del panel de control.
El tiempo de mantener caliente es de 3 horas. Si se retira el hervidor de su base,
Mantener CaLiente entrará en pausa. Si vuelve a colocar el hervidor en su
base en un lapso de 5 minutos, el tiempo de mantener caliente se reanudará
automáticamente. Después de 3 horas, el hervidor pasará al modo de espera.
Solo aparecerá iniCiar/Detener parpadeando en el panel de control.

eliminación de los residuos minerales
Después de utilizar el hervidor durante un tiempo, se empezarán a formar
residuos minerales en el interior del aparato. Es importante eliminar los
depósitos de residuos minerales del aparato cada 2-3 meses. Si utiliza el
hervidor a diario, el proceso de eliminación de residuos minerales debe
realizarse mensualmente.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
ADVERTENCIA:
Después de cada uso
Para mantener el hervidor funcionando sin problemas, es importante que lo
limpie después de cada uso.
HerViDor:
Cuando se haya enfriado, vacíe el hervidor (nunca deje té dentro del hervidor
durante la noche) y limpie el interior y el exterior con una esponja suave y
húmeda. Enjuague con agua tibia.
aDVertenCia: Deje que el hervidor se enfríe antes de limpiarlo.
inFusor De tÉ:
Lave el infusor de té con agua jabonosa tibia. Utilice una esponja suave.
Enjuáguelo y séquelo perfectamente.
paneL De ControL:
Utilice un paño húmedo para limpiar el panel de control y el exterior del hervidor.
Base:
Limpie la base con una esponja suave y húmeda.
