1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure health & safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this
equipment. Under health and safety law, employers and self employed personnel have a legal duty to ensure safe working conditions
for all employees and personnel that may come into contact with this equipment. In particular they must carry out a specic risk and
hazard assessment in the workplace to eliminate or reduce any risk found and must record, update and retain records of the results of
this inspection.
9 Familiarise yourself with the applications, limitations and any possible or potential hazards of the tool.
9 Maintain the tool in good working condition, using an authorised service agent).
WARNING! Check for damaged parts before each use. Damaged parts must be repaired or replaced before the tool is next used.
9 Use the tool in a suitable work area. Keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials. Ensure that there is adequate lighting.
9 Keep the tool clean for best and safest performance.
9 Wear approved safety eye protection.
9 Keep hands well clear of the bead breaker.
9 Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the oor is not slippery and wear non-slip safety shoes.
9 Remove ill tting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings other loose jewellery and contain and/or tie back long hair.
9 Keep hands away from pinch and crush points that can be created during operation.
9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
WARNING! DO NOT use on split, multi-piece or rims greater than 26”.
8 DO NOT use the bead breaker for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
8 DO NOT operate the bead breaker if any parts are damaged or missing as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the bead breaker.
8 DO NOT operate the bead breaker when you are tired or under the inuence
of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.

2. INTRODUCTION
Manual tyre bead breaker, for universal use on cars, motorcycles and vans.
Simplifies tyre removal, can be used with air impact gun or ratchet wrench.
Rubber pad for protection of wheel hubs. Durable yet compact design making it
portable for use anywhere. Suitable for use on steel wheels only.

4. OPERATION
Select an air impact gun (low setting) or ratchet wrench.
Turn the claw drive bolt counter-clockwise until
the tool is in an upright position and the wedge
is secured between the bead and rim. Use the
handle to guide the tool.
Turn the wedge foot drive bolt counter-
clockwise until it strips the tyre bead free of
the rim.

Retract the foot by turning the wedge foot
drive bolt clockwise. Retract the claw by
turning the claw drive bolt clockwise. Finally,
remove the tool from the rim.
5. MAINTENANCE
9 Only fully qualied personnel should attempt maintenance or repair.
9 When not in use, ensure jaw remains in the open position to minimise corrosion.
9 Keep the bead breaker clean and lubricate all moving parts on a regular basis.
9 Before each use check for broken, cracked, bent, or loose parts, or any visible damage to welds, ram, pump, jaws, frame and all parts.
8 DO NOT use if damaged. Remove from service and take necessary action to remedy the problem.
8 DO NOT use the bead breaker if believed to have been subjected to abnormal load or shock. Inspect and take appropriate action.
9 Store in a dry place.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When
the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any uids (if applicable) into approved
containers and dispose of the product and uids according to local regulations.
