IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
3. This Coffee Maker is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children.
5. In order to minimize the risk of property damage,
never place the Coffee Maker under cabinets. Make sure
the area several feet above the Coffee Maker is clear
from all furniture or cabinetry.
6. Do not open the Coffee Maker lid while coffee
is brewing. Scalding may occur if the lid is lifted
or removed during the brewing cycle.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow unit to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.

9. To protect against re or electrical shock, do
not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or
otherliquids.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer Service.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE UNIT YOURSELF.
THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may result in re,
electric shock or injury to persons.
12. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Do not
let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter
or touch hot surfaces.
13. Stand the appliance on a table or at surface.
14. Do not use a cracked glass carafe or a carafe having
a loose or weakened handle.
15. Only use the glass carafe with this appliance.
Handle with care as the glass may become hot.
16. Snap lid securely onto glass carafe before
servingcoffee.
17. Never use your Coffee Maker without water in the
waterreservoir.
18. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven.
19. The carafe is designed for use with this appliance.
It must never be used on a range top.

20. Do not set hot glass carafe on a wet or cold surface.
21. Do not clean glass carafe with cleaners, steel wool
pads, or other abrasive material.
22. To interrupt the brewing cycle at any time, press .
Unless the Coffee Maker is malfunctioning, do not
remove plug from wall outlet. Unplug the power cord
from the electrical outlet when the appliance is not
in use, left unattended, or when the carafe is empty.
23. Do not use this appliance for other than its
intended use.
24. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during
the brewing cycles.
25. To reduce the risk of re, do not place unit over or
near any portion of a heating or cooking appliance.
26. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not mount over
a sink.
27. To reduce the risk of re, do not store anything
directly on top of the appliance surface when the
appliance is in operation.
28. It is recommended to use a heat-resistant trivet or
cutting board underneath this appliance to avoid
possible heat damage to the countertop.

WARNING: This Coffee Maker generates heat and escaping
steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken
to prevent the risk of burns, res, or other injury
to persons or damage to property.
1. All users of this Coffee Maker must read and understand
this instruction manual before operating or cleaning
this Coffee Maker.
2. The cord to this Coffee Maker should be plugged
into a 3-prong 120V AC electrical outlet electrical
outlet only.
3. Use water only in this Coffee Maker! Do not put any
other liquids or food products in this Coffee Maker.
Do not mix or add anything to the water placed in this
Coffee Maker, except as instructed in the CLEAN section
of this instruction manual to descale the Coffee Maker.
4. DO NOT attempt to move a Coffee Maker containing
hot liquids. Allow Coffee Maker to cool completely
beforemoving.

5. Keep Coffee Maker at least 4 inches away from walls
or other objects during operation. Do not place any
objects on top of Coffee Maker while it is operating.
Place the Coffee Maker on a surface that is resistant
to heat.
6. If this Coffee Maker begins to malfunction during use,
immediately press and unplug the cord. Do not use or
attempt to repair the malfunctioning Coffee Maker.
Call Consumer Service.
7. If this Coffee Maker falls or accidentally becomes
immersed in water or any other liquid, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water! Do not use
this Coffee Maker after it has fallen into or has become
immersed in water.
CAUTION: Allow 15 minutes for the Coffee Maker to cool
sufciently before adding water to the water reservoir.
8. Always use fresh, cool water in your Coffee Maker.
Warm water or other liquids, except as listed in
cleaning section, may cause damage to the Coffee Maker.
9. DO NOT put carafe into a microwave oven.
10. DO NOT leave empty carafe on warming plate when the
Coffee Maker is turned ON, as the carafe may crack
or become otherwise damaged. Press to turn Coffee
MakerOFF.

11. This Coffee Maker is equipped with Pause & Serve.
The ow valve is located on the bottom of the removable
lter basket and is activated when the carafe
is removed. This design makes it possible for you
to remove the carafe and pour a cup of coffee before
the entire carafe is brewed.
CAUTION: To prevent injury when utilizing the Pause
& Serve feature, replace carafe within 30 seconds
of removing during brewing process.
GROUNDED 3-CONDUCTOR PLUG
This appliance is equipped with a grounded-type 3-wire
cord (3-prong plug). This plug will only t into an
electrical outlet made for a 3-prong plug. This is a safety
feature. If the plug should fail to t the outlet,
contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

NOTES ON THE CORD
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply
cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords
are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord
is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable
power-supply cord or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of
theappliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the
extension cord should be a grounding- type 3-wire
cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter top or table top where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other
appliances, your appliance may not operate properly.
It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other appliances.

CARAFE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not use a cracked carafe having a loose or
weakenedhandle.
2. This carafe is designed to be used only on the
warming plate of this Coffee Maker. Do not use in a
conventionaloven.
3. To avoid breakage, handle carafe with care.
Avoidimpact. Glass will break as a result of
impact. Usecare when lling with water to avoid
hittingfaucet.
4. Do not place hot carafe on cool or wet surface.
Allow to cool before washing or adding liquids.
5. Do not set empty carafe on a hot heating surface.
Do not clean with steel wool pads, abrasive cleanser,
or any other materials that may scratch.
6. Do not bump, scratch, or boil dry.
7. Discard carafe if it is cracked, scratched, or heated
while empty for an extended period of time.
8. Your carafe is has a specially sealed, drip-
throughlid.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the
spout before pouring hot coffee.

Coffee Yield
Coffee Maker: 12 (5-oz.) cups
NOTE: A 5-oz. cup is the American industry standard and is used by most Coffee
Maker manufacturers. To fill your favorite over-sized mug, fill Coffee Maker
reservoir with enough water for 3 to 4 cups (15 to 20 ounces).
NOTE: The amount of brewed coffee will always be less than the amount of water
placed into the water reservoir; as much as 10% may be absorbed by coffee
grounds and filter.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE THE BOTTOM
COVER. NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REPAIR SHOULD BE DONE BY AUTHORIZED
SERVICE PERSONNEL ONLY.
Permanent Filter Basket
1. Eco-friendly, the reusable permanent filter basket eliminates the need
for disposable papers filters.
2. The flat-bottomed permanent filter basket sits easily on any flat,
clean surface for easy, mess-free filling.
3. After brewing, lift to open the Coffee Maker lid. Unfold the permanent
filter basket handle to lift it up and out of the removable filter
basket holder; discard used coffee grounds, rinse and replace.
4. Fold handle down and close the Coffee Maker lid.

• When BREW/OFF is pressed, a tone will sound, the control panel
will illuminate and remain active for 20 seconds. The BREW/OFF button
will then pulse slowly on and off until the BREW/OFF button is pressed
once more to activate the unit and coffee will begin to brew.
• Press BREW/OFF at any time to begin brewing or to turn the Coffee
Maker OFF.
• Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 1.5 seconds to set
FUTURE BREW TIME.
• Use the + and - buttons to adjust the time until the desired
FUTURE BREW TIME has been selected.
• Press the PROGRAM button to confirm the FUTURE BREW TIME has been set or
wait 5 seconds to confirm the time.
• The PROGRAM button will stay illuminated indicating that the coffee
maker is now programmed for future brew.
• Press - to adjust the HOUR.
• Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
• Press and hold + or - to fast reverse or fast advance time.
• Press SELECT to set Strength, 1-4 cups, Clock, Clean, or Keep Warm.

Brew Strength
• Press SELECT to until STRENGTH illuminates.
• Press + or - to choose from 3 brew STRENGTHS:
Regular, Gourmet,
or
Bold
• The active brew strength is displayed on the control panel.
NOTE: For your convenience, the last chosen brew STRENGTH will
be the default for the next carafe of brewed coffee.
1 - 4 Cup
IMPORTANT: The 1-4 CUPS option must be programmed immediately
before brewing.
• Press SELECT to until 1-4 CUPS illuminates.
• When brewing 1 to 4 (5 oz.) cups of coffee, the 1-4 CUPS option
automatically adjusts the brewing process for maximum flavor.
• Press the BREW/OFF button to begin brewing.
NOTE: The Coffee Maker will not measure water quantity. When using
the 1 - 4 Cup Mode, the entire water reservoir will brew.
Keep warm
• KEEP WARM time defaults to 4:00 hours but can be adjusted from
00:00 minutes to 4:00 hours.
• Press SELECT to until KEEP WARM illuminates.
• Press + or - to adjust KEEP WARM time.
Clean
• If descaling is necessary, press SELECT to until CLEAN illuminates.
• Please follow detailed instructions in the CLEAN section of this
instruction manual for optimal results.
• CLEAN will automatically flash when the unit needs to be descaled.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Remove all packing material
and labels from the inside
and outside of the Coffee
Maker. Place the unit on a
flat, clean surface.
2. Before preparing coffee,
thoroughly clean the glass
carafe, carafe lid, removable
filter basket, permanent filter
basket and coffee scoop in hot,
sudsy water. Rinse and dry.
Replace disassembled parts.
NOTE: The carafe, carafe lid,
removable filter basket holder
and permanent filter basket
are all top-rack dishwasher
safe. The coffee scoop should
be placed in the dishwasher
alongside the cutlery.
3. Clean the inside of the Coffee
Maker by brewing 2 full carafes
of tap water (see Brewing
Coffee Instructions). Do not
add the permanent filter basket
or ground coffee for this
initial cleaning.

Operation
1. Lift the Coffee Maker lid to view the stepped water level indicator.
2. Fill carafe with cold tap or distilled water and carefully pour into
water reservoir. (Figure 1)
CAUTION: Never operate the Coffee Maker when the water reservoir
is empty.
IMPORTANT: Before brewing, always make sure water level is past
the 4-cup step and add water if needed.
CAUTION: Never add water to exceed the 12-cup step.
3. Close the carafe lid and place the empty carafe into position
on the warming plate.
4. Drop the removable filter basket into the housing.
5. Place the permanent filter basket on a flat, clean surface. Use the
coffee scoop to add 1 scoop of ground coffee for every cup of coffee.
Adjust to your personal preference. (Figure 2)
6. Drop the coffee-filled permanent filter basket into the removable filter
basket holder. Fold the permanent filter basket handle down.
7. Close the lid.
8. Plug the power cord into a 3-prong 120V AC electrical outlet.
A tone will sound. The default time: 12:00 AM will begin to flash
and the control panel will illuminate for 5 seconds.
NOTE: Press SELECT until the
icon flashes. Press the - button to
turn the beep sound off. The icon is displayed next to the time on
the control panel. To turn the beep on, press SELECT until the icon
flashes and press the + button. The icon will disappear with one
beepsound.

Brew Coffee Now
1. To brew coffee immediately: Press BREW/OFF (Figure 3). By default,
Regular brew will illuminate.
2. When brewing is complete, 3 audible tones will sound. The Coffee Maker
will display 0:00, as it advances to KEEP WARM. The time will begin
to count up to 4:00 hours.
IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
3. At the end of KEEP WARM, 2 audible tones will sound as the Coffee Maker
turns itself OFF.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the spout before
pouring hot coffee.
Set the Current Time
1. When the Coffee Maker is plugged in, a tone will sound. The default
time: 12:00 AM will begin to flash and the control panel will illuminate
for 5 seconds.
2. The default time, 12:00 AM will be displayed.
3. Press - to adjust the HOUR.
4. Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
NOTE: Pay attention to AM and PM setting.
NOTE: The Coffee Maker will advance to sleep mode within 20 seconds
if no buttons are pressed.
5. To re-set the clock, press SELECT until CLOCK illuminates, the time will
flash. Use + or - to adjust the time.
Note: If you unplug the coffee maker for more than 1 minute, all
programmed settings will reset and return to the factory defaults.
6. IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the spout before
pouring hot coffee.

Brew Later
1. The Coffee Maker can be programmed to begin brewing up to 24 hours
in the future.
WARNING: Make sure the Coffee Maker is set up to brew coffee.
Fill the water reservoir, add fresh ground coffee to the permanent
filter basket, close the lid. Place the empty carafe with lid in the
center of the warming plate.
2. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 1.5 seconds. The last programmed
FUTURE BREW TIME begin to flash.
3. Press - to adjust the HOUR.
4. Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
NOTE: Pay attention to AM and PM setting.
Press the PROGRAM button or wait 5 seconds to confirm the time.
Only the PROGRAM button will illuminate
5. When the pre-programmed time is reached, brewing will begin.
6. At the end of the brew cycle, 3 audible tones will signal completion
and the Coffee Maker will advance to KEEP WARM.
7. To start brew time at the same time the next day, simply press the
PROGRAM button, the PROGRAM button will illuminate.

Pause & Serve
Pause & Serve allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the entire carafe
is brewed. Return the carafe to the warming plate; dripping will resume.
CAUTION: Replace carafe under the filter basket within 30 seconds
to prevent overflow.

• A clean Coffee Maker is essential for brewing great tasting coffee.
Regular cleaning, as described in the CLEAN section of this instruction
manual, is highly recommended.
• Always use fresh, cold water in your Coffee Maker.
• Finer grinds, such as drip and ADC coffee, promote fuller extraction
and provide rich, full-bodied coffee.
• For optimum taste, program your Coffee Maker to brew coffee to your
preferred STRENGTH. Choose from
Regular, Gourmet, or Bold.
• For optimum brewed coffee flavor, buy whole beans and grind just
before brewing.
• Do not re-use coffee grounds since this will greatly impair
coffeeflavor.
• Reheating coffee is not recommended. Coffee is at its peak flavor
immediately after brewing.
• Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee is due
to the extraction of oil from the coffee grounds. Oiliness may occur
more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used. Overextraction
may also cause oiliness, indicating a need to clean your Coffee Maker.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable
parts. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be
performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.

Care & Cleaning Instructions
1. Always make sure Coffee Maker is unplugged and warming plate is cool
before attempting to clean.
2. After every use, remove the permanent filter basket, discard used coffee
grounds, and rinse thoroughly.
3. Wash the removable filter basket and glass carafe in hot, sudsy
water. Scrub with a soaped kitchen brush. The carafe with removable
filter basket holder and the permanent filter basket are all top-rack
dishwasher safe. The coffee scoop should be placed in the dishwasher
alongside thecutlery.
NOTE: The carafe lid is removable for easy cleaning.
WARNING: To avoid breakage, handle carafe with care. Avoid impact.
Glass will break as a result of impact. Use care when filling with water
to avoid hitting faucet.
4. Wipe the Coffee Maker exterior with a damp cloth to remove superficial
stains. For stubborn stains, use a nylon or plastic pad with a non-
abrasive cleanser. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers.
5. Dry and replace disassembled parts. Make sure the removable filter
basket drops down and is properly seated into the housing.
6. Close the lid.
Clean
IMPORTANT: To assure optimal flavor and performance of your Coffee Maker, when
used regularly, and under normal conditions, it is recommended that the CLEAN
cycle be run every 150 uses. The CLEAN will automatically flash on the display
to alert you that CLEAN is necessary.
IMPORTANT: Before running CLEAN, remove the permanent gold tone filter basket
and the removable filter basket holder.
NOTE: The entire cleaning cycle will take 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

WARNING :
1. Run the cleaning cycle at any point if the coffee maker stops before it is
finished brewing the desired cup size. After one cleaning cycle, repeat
the cleaning steps one more time. If the coffee maker still has the same
problem, run the cleaning cycle until the problem is resolved.
2. Do not interrupt the cleaning cycle.
3. Allow the cleaning cycle to finish.
4. Minerals in water can detract from the flavor of the coffee and possibly
lengthen brew time. It is recommended that the CLEAN cycle be run when it
flashes (after 150 uses).
IMPORTANT: Always remove the permanent filter basket and removable filter
basket holder before activating the CLEAN cycle.
5. Combine 6 cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of cold water in the carafe.
6. Pour vinegar solution into the water reservoir and close Coffee
Makerlid.
7. Place the empty carafe onto the warming plate.
8. Press SELECT until CLEAN illuminates. Press BREW/OFF. An audible tone
will sound as the CLEAN cycle begins. CLEAN will be illuminated on the
display. Part of the mixture will pass through the brew cycle in a cycle
of 1 minute brewing and 2 minutes of rest, untilthe the remaining
mixture in the coffee maker is brewed out within 30minutes.
IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
9. At the end of CLEAN cycle, 3 audible tones will sound, CLEAN will
disappear from the display and the Coffee Maker will return to the
standby mode automatically.
10. Discard water in the carafe. Wash carafe, removable filter basket holder
and permanent filter basket in hot sudsy water.
11. Brew 2 or 3 carafes of fresh water through the Coffee Maker brewing
coffee again.
12. Dry parts thoroughly.
13. Replace the removable filter basket holder in the housing, then drop the
clean permanent filter basket into place. Lower the lid.

14. Place the empty carafe in position on the warming plate.
Storing Instructions
1. Never store Coffee Maker while it is still plugged in.
2. Unplug the Coffee Maker and allow it to cool.
3. Store the Coffee Maker fully assembled, the permanent filter basket
and removable filter basket in position. Place the carafe on the warming
tray. Close the lid.
4. Store the Coffee Maker in its box or in a cool, dry place.

5. Mantener la cafetera por lo menos a 4 pulgadas
(10 centímetros) de distancia de paredes u otros
objetos mientras está en funcionamiento. No colocar
ningún objeto sobre la cafetera mientras esté en
funcionamiento. Colocar la cafetera sobre una supercie
resistente al calor.
6. Si la cafetera comienza a mostrar un funcionamiento
defectuoso durante el uso, presionar y desenchufar el
cable de inmediato. No utilizar la cafetera ni intentar
repararla si funciona mal.
Llamar a Servicio al consumidor.
7. Si la cafetera se cae o se sumerge en agua o en
cualquier otro líquido por accidente, desenchufar

11. Esta cafetera está equipada con la función PAUSE
& SERVE (Pausar y servir). La válvula de ujo se
encuentra en la parte inferior del soporte del ltro
desmontable y se activa al quitar la jarra. Este diseño
permite sacar la jarra y verter una taza de café antes
de que la jarra se llene por completo.
ATENCIÓN: Para evitar daños al utilizar la función
PAUSE & SERVE (Pausar y servir), volver a colocar la
jarra antes de los 30 segundos de haberla retirado
durante el proceso de preparación.
ENCHUFE DE 3 CONDUCTORES CON CONEXIÓN A TIERRA
Este electrodoméstico está equipado con un cable de 3
alambres con conexión a tierra (enchufe de 3 tomas). Este

NOTAS SOBRE EL CABLE
a) Se debe utilizar un cable de alimentación corto (o un
cable de alimentación desconectable) para reducir el
riesgo de enredarse o tropezar con uno más largo.
b) Existen cables de alimentación desconectables más
largos o prolongadores y pueden usarse si se hace con
precaución.
c) Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación desconectable
más largo o un prolongador, tenga en cuenta lo
siguiente:
1) La capacidad eléctrica nominal del cable de
alimentación desconectable o prolongador debe
ser al menos igual a la capacidad eléctrica del
electrodoméstico.
2) Si el electrodoméstico cuenta con conexión a tierra,
el prolongador debe ser del tipo con conexión a
tierra de 3 alambres.
3) El cable más largo debe estar dispuesto de manera

PRECAUCIONES DE SEGURIDAD DE LA JARRA

Rendimiento de café
Cafetera: 12 tazas (5 oz/148 ml)
NOTA: Una taza de 5 oz (148 ml) es la taza estándar de la industria
estadounidense y es la que utiliza la mayoría de los fabricantes de cafeteras.
Para llenar su jarro favorito extragrande, llene el depósito de la cafetera con
la cantidad de agua suficiente para 3 o 4 tazas (15 a 20 onzas/444 a 591 ml).
NOTA: La cantidad de café preparado siempre será inferior a la cantidad de agua

Canastilla permanente de filtrado
1. La canastilla permanente de filtrado reutilizable es ecológica y elimina

• Al presionar BREW/OFF, sonará un tono, se iluminará el panel de control

1-4 Cup (de 1 a 4 tazas)
IMPORTANTE: El modo 1-4 CUPS (1 a 4 tazas) debe programarse inmediatamente antes

Antes de usar por primera vez

Funcionamiento
1. Levantar la tapa de la cafetera para ver el indicador de nivel de agua.
Asegurarse que el filtro de carbón esté en su lugar, en la base del
depósito de agua. (Figura. 1)
2. Llenar la jarra con agua fría del grifo o agua destilada y verterla
con cuidado en el depósito de agua.
ATENCIÓN: Nunca poner la cafetera en funcionamiento cuando el depósito de
agua esté vacío.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de la preparación, controlar siempre que el nivel
de agua exceda la línea de llenado de 4 tazas y agregar agua de ser
necesario.
ATENCIÓN: Nunca exceder el nivel de llenado de agua de las 12 tazas.
3. Cerrar la tapa de la jarra y colocar la jarra vacía en su lugar sobre
la placa de calentamiento.
4. Colocar la canastilla de filtrado desmontable dentro de la carcasa.
5. Colocar la canastilla de filtrado duradera sobre una superficie plana y
limpia. Usar la cuchara para café para agregar 1 cucharada de café molido
por cada taza deseada. (Figura. 2)
Ajustar a su preferencia personal.
6. Colocar la canastilla de filtrado duradera con café dentro de su soporte.
Plegar hacia abajo el asa de la canastilla de filtrado duradera.
7. Cerrar la tapa.
8. Enchufar el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente eléctrico para
3 tomas de 120 V CA.
Sonará un tono. La hora predeterminada: Comenzará a parpadear la hora
12:00 AM y el panel de control se iluminará por 5 segundos.
NOTA: presione SELECCIONAR hasta que el icono
parpadee. Presione el
botón - para apagar el tono. El icono se muestra junto a la hora en el
panel de control. Para activar el tono, presione SELECT hasta
que el icono parpadee y presione el botón +. El icono desaparecerá
con un tono. Cuando el ícono FILTRO está iluminado en el panel de
control, indica que el filtro de carbón debe ser reemplazado. Para
eliminar el ícono FILTRO, presione SELECCIONAR hasta que FILTRO parpadee.
Presione el botón - o +. FILTRO desaparecerá del panel de control.

Preparar café ahora
1. Para preparar café de inmediato: Presionar BREW/OFF (Preparar/apagar)
(Figura. 3). Se iluminará
Regular de forma predeterminada.
2. Cuando la preparación esté completa se oirán 3 tonos. La cafetera
mostrará 0:00, porque pasa a KEEP WARM (Mantener caliente). Comenzará a
correr el tiempo hasta las 4:00 horas.
IMPORTANTE: Presionar el botón BREW/OFF en cualquier momento para apagar
la cafetera.
3. Al final del ciclo KEEP WARM, se escucharán 2 tonos y la cafetera se
APAGARÁ.
ATENCIÓN: Siempre asegurarse de que la tapa esté alineada con el pico
antes de servir café caliente.
Configurar la hora actual
1. Al enchufar la cafetera sonará un tono. La hora predeterminada:
Comenzará a parpadear la hora 12:00 AM y el panel de control
se iluminará por 5 segundos.
2. Se mostrará en pantalla la hora predeterminada, 12:00 AM.
3. Presionar - para ajustar HOUR (Hora).
4. Presionar + para ajustar MINUTES (Minutos).
NOTA: Prestar atención a la configuración AM y PM.
NOTA: La cafetera pasará al modo de espera luego de 20 segundos.
5. Para reajustar el reloj, presione SELECT hasta que CLOCK se ilumine,
la hora parpadeará. Use + o - para ajustar la hora.
6. IMPORTANTE Presionar el botón BREW/OFF en cualquier momento para apagar
la cafetera.
ATENCIÓN: Siempre asegurarse de que la tapa esté alineada con el pico
antes de servir café caliente.
Nota: Si desenchufa la cafetera durante más de 1 minuto, todos
los ajustes programados se restablecerán y volver a los valores
predeterminados de fábrica.

Preparar más tarde
1. Se puede programar la cafetera para que comience la preparación hasta
en 24 horas en el futuro.
ADVERTENCIA: Asegurarse de que la cafetera esté lista para
preparar café.
Llenar el depósito con agua, agregar café molido fresco a la canastilla
de filtrado duradera, y cerrar la tapa. Colocar la jarra vacía con
la tapa puesta en el centro de la placa de calentamiento.
2. Mantener presionado el botón PROGRAM por 1.5 segundos. La última FUTURE
BREW TIME (Hora de preparación futura) que se programó comienza
a parpadear.
3. Presionar - para ajustar HOUR (Hora).
4. Presionar + para ajustar MINUTES (Minutos).

Pausar y servir
La función Pausar y servir le permite verter una taza de café antes de que
se prepare toda la jarra. Al volver a colocar la jarra sobre la placa
de calentamiento el goteo se reanudará.
ATENCIÓN: Volver a colocar la jarra bajo la canastilla de filtrado antes
de los 30 segundos para evitar desbordamientos.
Consejos de Beautiful para un café de sabor ideal
• Una cafetera limpia es esencial para preparar café de buen sabor.
Serecomienda encarecidamente la limpieza regular, como se describe
enla sección de LIMPIEZA de este manual de instrucciones.
• Siempre use agua fría y fresca en su cafetera.
• Los molidos más finos, como el café para goteo y el café ADC, promueven
una extracción más completa y proporcionan un café rico y con cuerpo.
• Para un sabor óptimo, programe su cafetera para que prepare el café a su
intensidad preferida. Elija entre
Regular, Gourmet, o Fuerte.
• Para un mejor sabor en el café preparado, compre granos enteros y
muélalos justo antes de preparar.
• No reutilice los posos de café, ya que esto deteriorará considerablemente
el sabor del café.
• No se recomienda recalentar el café. El café está en su mejor sabor
justo después de prepararlo.
• Pequeñas gotas de aceite en la superficie del café negro preparado
son el resultado de la extracción de aceite de los posos de café.
Estopuedeocurrir frecuentemente cuando se usan cafés muy tostados.
Lasobre-extracción también puede causar pequeñas gotas de aceite en la
superficie del café, lo que indica que esnecesario limpiar su cafetera.
Instrucciones de mantenimiento para el usuario
Este electrodoméstico necesita poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que el
usuario pueda reparar. Cualquier tipo de mantenimiento, aparte de la limpieza,

Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza
1. Asegurarse siempre de que la cafetera esté desconectada y que la placa
de calentamiento esté fría antes de intentar limpiarla.
2. Retirar la canasta del filtro permanente después de cada uso, desechar
los granos de café usados y enjuagar bien.
3. Lave la canasta del filtro removible y la jarra de vidrio en agua
caliente y jabonosa. Frote con un cepillo de cocina jabonoso. La
jarra con la tapa, el soporte de la la cesta de filtro extraíble y la
cesta de filtro permanente son adecuadas para la rejilla superior del
lavavajillas. La cuchara de café debe colocarse en el lavavajillas junto
con los cubiertos.
NOTA: La tapa de la jarra se puede quitar para facilitar la limpieza.
ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar que se rompa, manipular la jarra con cuidado.
Evitar los impactos. El vidrio se romperá si sufre impactos. Utilizar
con cuidado al llenarla con agua para evitar que golpee contra el grifo.
4. Limpiar el exterior de la cafetera con un paño húmedo para quitar
las manchas superficiales. Para las manchas rebeldes, usar una esponjilla
de nailon o plástico con un limpiador no abrasivo. No usar esponjillas
metálicas ni limpiadores abrasivos.
5. Secar las piezas y volver a colocarlas. Asegurarse de que la canasta
del filtro extraíble descienda y se encaje correctamente en la carcasa.
6. Cerrar la tapa.
Limpieza
IMPORTANTE: Para asegurar un sabor y rendimiento óptimos de su cafetera. Cuando
se usa regularmente. Y en condiciones normales. Se recomienda ejecutar el ciclo
CLEAN cada 150 usos. CLEAN se iluminará automáticamente en la pantalla para
avisarle que es necesario CLEAN.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de ejecutar CLEAN, retire la canastilla de filtro de tono
dorado permanente y el soporte de filtro desmontable.
NOTA: Todo el ciclo de limpieza tardará de 20 a 30 minutos en completarse.

ADVERTENCIA :
1. Ejecute el ciclo de limpieza en cualquier momento si la cafetera se detiene
antes de terminar de preparar el tamaño de taza deseado. Después de un
ciclo de limpieza, repita los pasos de limpieza una vez más. Si la cafetera
sigue teniendo el mismo problema, ejecuta el ciclo de limpieza hasta que se
resuelva el problema.
2. No interrumpa el ciclo de limpieza.
3. Deje que termine el ciclo de limpieza.
4. Los minerales en el agua pueden restar valor al sabor del café
y posiblemente extender el tiempo de elaboración. Se recomienda que
el ciclo de LIMPIEZA se ejecute cuando parpadee (después de 150 usos).
IMPORTANTE: Retirar SIEMPRE la canasta del filtro permanente y la
canasta del filtro removible antes de activar el ciclo de LIMPIEZA.
5. Combinar 6 tazas de vinagre blanco y 4 tazas de agua fría en la jarra.
6. Verter la solución de vinagre en el depósito de agua y cerrar la tapa
de la cafetera.
7. Colocar la jarra vacía sobre la placa calentadora.
8. Presionar SELECT (SELECCIONAR) hasta que se ilumine CLEAN (LIMPIAR).
Presionar BREW/OFF (PREPARAR/APAGAR). Se escuchará un tono cuando
comience el ciclo CLEAN (LIMPIEZA). CLEAN (LIMPIAR) se iluminará en la
pantalla. Parte de la mezcla pasará por el ciclo de preparación en una
secuencia de 1 minuto de preparación y 2 minutos de descanso. Durante
el ciclo de LIMPIEZA, lamezcla restante se mantendrá en la cafetera y
luego se expulsará periódicamente durante 30 minutos.
¡IMPORTANTE! Presionar el botón BREW/OFF en cualquier momento para apagar
la cafetera.
9. Al final del ciclo de LIMPIEZA, se escucharán 3 tonos claros,
la palabra CLEAN (LIMPIAR) desaparecerá de la pantalla y la cafetera
se apagará automáticamente.
10. Desechar el agua de la jarra. Lavar la jarra, la canasta del filtro
removible y la canasta del filtro permanente con agua caliente y jabón.
11. Preparar nuevamente dos o tres cargas de agua fría a través
de la cafetera para preparar café.

12. Secar bien todas las piezas.
13. Colocar nuevamente la canasta del filtro removible en la carcasa,
luego, una vez limpia, colocar la canasta del filtro permanente
en su lugar. Bajar la tapa.
14. Colocar la jarra vacía en su posición sobre la placa calentadora.
Instrucciones de almacenamiento
1. Nunca guardar la cafetera mientras aún esté enchufada.
2. Desenchufar la cafetera y dejar que se enfríe.
3. Guardar la cafetera completamente armada, la canasta de filtro
permanentey la canasta de filtro extraíble en posición. Colocar la jarra
en la bandeja calentadora. Cerrar la tapa.
4. Guardar la cafetera en su caja o en un lugar fresco y seco.
