Therecorderreservesacertainamountofpowerforeachport.Thetotalreservedpowercannotexceedthetotalpowerbudget.
Aportwillnotbepoweredupiftherecordertriestoreservemorepowerthanwhatisavailable.Thismakessurethatallofthe
connecteddeviceswillbepowered.
PoEpowercanbeallocatedtotheconnecteddevicesinthefollowingways:
•PoEclass—EachportautomaticallydeterminestheamountofpowertoreserveaccordingtothePoEclassofthe
connecteddevice.
•LLDP—EachportdeterminestheamountofpowertoreservebyexchangingPoEinformationusingtheLLDPprotocol.
Note
PowerallocationwithLLDPonlyworksforsupporteddeviceswithrmware9.80orlater,andforAXISS3008Recorderwith
rmware10.2orlater.
LLDPisalwaysactiveinAXISS3008Recorderbutmustbeactivatedontheconnecteddevice.IfLLDPisturnedoffornotsupportedin
theconnecteddevice,thenPoEclassreservationwillbeusedinstead.
ToturnonLLDPonyourPoEdevice:
1.Openthedevicewebpage.
2.GotoSettings>System>Plaincong>Network.
3.UnderLLDPPOE,selecttheLLDPSendMaxPoEcheckbox.
