6.4.3 Face Recognion

Face recognion is the funcon that compares a captured face (in image or video stream) with

those in face picture libraries and returns its identy informaon if the face is recognized. Based on

facial feature of human being, face recognion rst checks if human face exists in the input image

or video stream. If there is a human face, the funcon compares the face data (such as posion,

size, and facial feature) with those in current face picture libraries to idenfy the person.

Before You Start

Make sure you have disabled Moon and Perimeter Protecon.

Note

This funcon is only available for certain models.

Face Capture

Face capture detects human faces appearing in the scene. Linkage acons can be triggered when a

human face is detected.

Steps

Go to Conguraon → Event → Face Recognion → Face Capture .

Select Camera.

Turn on Enable.

Adjust Sensivity.

Sensivity

The higher the value is, the more easily the defocus image can trigger the alarm.

Set the arming schedule. Refer to

Congure Arming Schedule for details.

Set the linkage acons. Refer to Congure Alarm Linkage Acon for details.

Click Apply.

Face Picture Library Management

Face picture library is mainly used for face picture storage and face picture comparison.
