HOLDING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
(Fig. 4)
The unit has both front and rear handles.
With the blade directed away from you,
hold the unit by both handles. One hand
on the rear handle and one hand on the
top side of the front handle.
WARNING:
Always keep both
hands on the hedge trimmer handles.
Never hold shrubs with one hand and operate the hedge trimmer with the other.
Failure to heed this warning may result in serious injury.
STARTING/STOPPING THE HEDGE
TRIMMER
Before operating, remove the blade
sheath and hold the trimmer with both
hands, one hand on the rear handle and
the other on the front handle. Then check
for balanced footing, upright standing
and a proper cutting distance. Make sure
that the cutting blade is not touching the
ground or any other objects.
To start the machine (Fig. 5)
1. Install the battery pack.
2. Squeeze and hold the front trigger with one hand.
3. Move the lock-off lever forward and then press the rear trigger to start the machine
with the other hand. The speed of the hedge trimmer is controlled with the rear
trigger. More pressure on the trigger results in higher speed; less pressure on the
trigger results in lower speed. Adjust the speed to suit the task at hand.
