guarantee. If you register your guarantee online within 14 (fourteen) days of
purchase, we will extend the guarantee to 2 (two) years. To activate your

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and/or injury, these basic safety precautions should always be followed:
Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.
Remove all packaging before using the appliance for the first time. Keep
packaging out of reach of children
To protect against the risk of electric shock, DO NOT IMMERSE the
appliance, power cable or adaptor plug in water or any other liquid
Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage,
frequency and rating as indicated on the product identification plate
The appliance may only be used, if it is clean and fully assembled. Check
all the plug connections and the working state of the button controls at
regular intervals. Ensure that the plug connections are properly adjusted
Only connect the device to a power socket that has been installed properly
Do not use a power strip or an extension cable
Plug the appliance into a nearby power socket or portable power supply so
that the plug can be removed easily in case of emergency
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance
Always unplug the appliance before filling the water tank
Do not overfill the water tank. To avoid spilling, do not add water past the
MAX FILL marking
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without
supervision
Do not leave the appliance unsupervised while in use or connected to a
power socket or portable power supply
Do not operate unit with a damaged power cable or plug, or after a
malfunction, has been dropped or is damaged in any manner. Return the
unit to an authorised service facility for examination. Do not attempt to repair
or disassemble the appliance yourself
This unit is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar moist
indoor locations. Never locate the unit where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container
Do not place the power cable or adaptor in the sink
Do not carry the appliance by the power cable
Do not run the power cable under carpeting or cover the power cable with
throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange the power cable away from traffic
areas and where it will not be tripped over
Keep the device, the power cable and plug away from hot surfaces, naked
flames, direct sunlight and sharp edges. When using the device make sure
that the cable is not jammed (e.g. in doors)
Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or countertop.
Ensure that the cable is not in a position where it can be pulled on inadvertently
Do not place objects on the product or allow objects to obstruct the inlet or
outlet openings, or operate in close proximity to walls or curtains, etc.
Do not place the power cable over any part of the unit
Always unwind and straighten the power cable before use. A short cable is
provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cable
Keep the device clean and dust-free
Press the Power/Fan Speed button to turn the appliance off. To unplug, grip the
plug to remove it from the wall socket or the portable power supply. Never pull
on the power cable to disconnect the plug
Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or
stored
• Use only cold, clean water in the Water Tank. Do not add any additives to the
water
Never touch the appliance, the power cable or the plug with damp or wet
hands; or if you are standing on wet ground
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust
opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire or could damage the unit
Use the unit only as described in this booklet. Any other use not recommended
by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons
The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the product
distributor may cause personal or property hazards or injuries
This product must always be used AND STORED in the upright position
Do not use this unit with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches
the unit on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the unit is covered or
positioned incorrectly
Use indoors only
Do not move the machine when it is in use
Do not block air circulation
Place the appliance on a level surface. Never operate the appliance on uneven
surfaces or in the vicinity of steps. Avoid tipping the appliance over when it is
in use or when the water tank contains water
Switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use, for cleaning or in the
event of a malfunction
Empty the water tank after each use and ensure that the filter is dry
Avoid contacting moving parts
This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only
The manufacturer does not accept responsibility for any damage or injury
caused by improper use or incorrect use, or for repairs and maintenance
carried out by unauthorised personnel
Please note that products returned under guarantee with faults due to limescale,
prohibited use of substances in the tank or misuse will be subject to a repair
charge

NOTE: The water tank may already contain some water/water evaporation before first use.
This is normal, as our Personal Air Coolers are tested before being put on the market.

FILLING THE WATER TANK
Before first use, take all of the appliance parts out of the packaging and remove
all packaging materials and inserts. Ensure to check that all parts are included
Place the appliance on a flat, even surface such as a table, desk or countertop.
A raised surface will cool the area faster. Ensure that the appliance is still within
quick and easy reach
Open the Water Tank Lid (1) and fill with water up to the line on the MAX FILL
indicator line. Take care not to overfill the water tank. Close the Water Tank Lid
when done
IMPORTANT: Immediately wipe dry any spills on top of the unit. Take care not
to spill water on the Power Port (9)
WARNING: Use only cold, clean water in the Water Tank. Do not add any
fragrances or additives to the water

USING THE FILTER & FILTER DRAWER
Use the Filter Drawer Tab (5) to pull out the Filter Drawer (fig. A)
Remove the Filter by lifting it up and out of the Filter Drawer (fig. B).

For best cooling results, lightly pre-soak the Filter under cold, running water (fig. C).
After pre-soaking, ensure to wipe off any excess and dripping water from the Filter
For increased cooling power, place the wet Filter into your freezer for a couple
of minutes, then replace the frozen Filter back in the Filter Drawer of your
Personal Air Cooler before use
Place the Filter back into the Filter Drawer Slot by positioning it above the Filter
positioning guides and sliding the Filter down into place
Close the Filter Drawer by pushing it back into the appliance

USING YOUR PERSONAL AIR COOLER
Plug the small end of the Micro USB Cable (7) into the Power Port (9) at the
back of the Personal Air Cooler unit
To use a mobile power supply, plug the larger side of the Micro USB Cable
into the USB Port of a powered-on computer or similar compatible device with
an output of 5V, 1.5A - 2A (e.g. power bank, laptop or phone charger)
To use mains power, connect the Micro USB Cable to the 2-Pin USB Plug
Adaptor (8), then plug the adaptor into a suitable 2-Pin wall socket or wall
adaptor
Press the Power/Fan Speed Button (2) once to switch the unit on (fig. D). The
default setting is High Speed Mode
1st press: Power on, High Speed
2nd press: Press and hold down for three seconds to adjust the fan speed from
High to Medium to Low
Press again: Power off
NOTE:
The Personal Air Cooler is designed to function optimally at 50% room humidity.
The unit will run for up to 6 hours on on High Speed, up to 8 hours on Mid Speed
and up to 10 hours on Low Speed. If there is no water in the water tank the unit
will not generate mist. Run time and cooling performance will be subject to
moisture and temperature levels in the room.
*Run time refers to the amount of time the unit uses a single full tank of water
Switch on the Ambience LED Lighting Area (10) by pressing the LED Lights
Button (6) (fig. E). You can select your preferred lighting mode: Continuous
cycling of the 7- colours, a specific static colour, or choose to use the unit with
the light off
Use the Air Vent Louvre Tab (4) to adjust the direction of the airflow up or down
as per your preference

TIPS FOR USE
For faster air cooling, allow the Filter to absorb water for at least 2 minutes
after filling the water tank and before switching the unit on
Add a small ice block or two into the water tank to intensify your cooling
experience
For maximum benefit from the Personal Air Cooler, try to stay directly in front
and within 2 metres of the unit
To avoid spilling water, do not move or bump the Personal Air Cooler when in
use
CARE AND CLEANING
It is recommended to clean the water tank, filter drawer and the appliance
drawer holding area, once a week. Use only a non-abrasive cloth and mild
soap when needed
Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning
The appliance should be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge and mild
detergent, then dried with a soft cloth
Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring pads
Do not use bleach or other abrasive substance or solvents to clean your
appliance as it can be damaging to the finish
If limescale has blocked the atomizer device spray hole located on the upper
inside of the Filter Tray cavity, please remove it gently use a toothpick. Be
careful not to damage the atomizer device
Do not immerse the appliance, the cable or the adaptor in water or any other
liquid, or do not hold under a running tap to clean
For best long-term performance, we recommend changing the filter every 4 - 6
months
REPLACING THE FILTER
The Water Filter should be changed every 4 - 6 months, or when you feel the
Personal Air Cooler is not functioning as it should be
Unplug the cooler from the wall or portable power device
Gently pull the Filter Drawer Tab from unit
Grasp the Filter and carefully remove it from unit completely
Place a new Filter in the Filter Drawer slot
Push the Filter Drawer back into the Personal Air Cooler and fit it properly into
position

DESCALING
Switch off and unplug the Personal Air Cooler
Pour out all the remaining water from inside the water tank
Mix a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water and then add the mixture into
the water tank
Leave to soak for 30 minutes
Pour the solution out of the water tank
Fill the water tank with clean water and gently clean it with a cloth
Remove the water after cleaning, wipe with a dry cloth and leave the water
tank to dry
THERMAL SAFETY CUT-OFF
In the event that the appliance overheats, the thermal safety cut-off will engage
and cut off electricity being supplied to the appliance. This is to prevent
damage to the appliance
If this happens, please return the appliance to your nearest Tevo Service Centre
for inspection
STORAGE
Before storage, always make sure that the water tank is emptied, the Filter is
dry; and that the appliance itself is completely clean and dry
Store the appliance in a dry place
Store the appliance on a stable countertop or in a cupboard. To avoid
accidents, ensure that both the appliance and its power cable are beyond
reach of children or pets
Never wrap the power cable around the appliance
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of electrical appliances with general municipal waste. Hazardous
substances can leak and contaminate the groundwater, affecting the food chain
and ultimately damaging the environment and your health. Contact your local
municipality for information on safe disposal in your area.

manufacture faults for a period of 1 (one) year. If you register your guarantee
online at www.tevo.co.za within 14 (fourteen) days of purchase, then your

this product at no charge if found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault
