1. Install 2 - AA batteries into your Rain Sensor.
2. Install batteries into your Rain Station.
3. Once the rain sensor is reading to your display, place it outside in an
open area.

Rain Station
Rain Sensor:
• Flip down the locks on both sides of your rain sensor.
• Remove the funnel from the base to access the battery
compartment.
• Flip up the top of the battery compartment to open.
• Insert 2-AA batteries according to polarity markings.
• Lock everything back into position.
Station:
• Remove the battery cover (under the pull out stand).
• Insert 2-AA batteries according to polarity markings.

Settings Menu
Weekday: Will set automatically when your Year,
Month, and Date are set.
1. Hold the HISTORY/TIME SET button until the display changes to
enter the Settings Menu.
2. Press and release the + or - button to adjust and the HISTORY/TIME
SET button to confirm and exit.
Settings Menu Order:
• Beep ON/OFF
• Hour
• Minutes
• 12/24 Hour
• Year
• Month
• Date
• M/Day or Day/M
• Inches or MM
• ºF or ºC
Press and release the +/MODE
button to view Calendar or
Indoor Temperature.
Station will stay on selection.

Rain Readings
Press the RAIN/ALERT button to view dierent rain readings. The time
and date will disappear for 20 seconds. Rainfall readings will stay on your
selection.
ONE HR:
• Rainfall that has accumulated during the past hour. Updates every 5 minutes.
24HR:
• Rainfall based on past 24 hours. At each full hour, 1 hour is recorded. This is a
running total.
7 DAYS:
• Rainfall of last 7 consecutive 24HR rain readings. Updates each day at 0:00.
Not a subject to the calendar. Be sure time is set.
MONTH:
• Current Month. Resets the first day of the month
YEAR:
• Current year starting January 1 total.
TOTAL:
• Total Rainfall since powered on or reset.
Note: As time passes without rain, the Now, One Hr, 24 Hrs, and 7 day rainfall totals will count
back to zero. This is normal.
NOW (rain drops will flash):
• Rain from the start of a rain event, until no rain has accumulated for 30
minutes. Resets to zero after 30 minutes of no additional rainfall.

1. Press the RAIN/ALERT button to view rain readings:
(Now, One Hr, 24 Hrs, 7 Days, Month, Year or Total)
2. While viewing individual rain readings, hold the -/RESET button to reset
individual rainfall reading.
Note: This will not aect the 12 month history readings which are stored in memory.

Rain Cylinder Graph
The Rain Graph has 10 segments which
change based on rainfall totals. The scale
values automatically adjust when over
1-inch (25.4 mm) of rain is measured.
Note: If over 70 Inches (999 mm) is measured, the
graph will appear full.
• Rainfall History is viewable by the month for the past 12 months.
• Press and release the HISTORY/TIME SET button to view previous
month’s rainfall totals. HIST, Month, Year and Rainfall amount will show.
• The History by the month cannot be reset.

1. Hold the RAIN/ALERT button until the display changes to enter the alert
settings mode.
2. Alert OFF will show. Press and release the - or +/MODE button to turn
ON the rainfall alert.
3. When ON is selected the 24-hour rain alert value will show. Press and
release the - or +/MODE buttons to adjust.
4. Press and release the RAIN/ALERT button to confirm and exit.
24-Hour Rain Alert
Triggered Alert
When an alert value is reached, the Alert Icon will flash on screen.
The station will also beep 5 times each minute until the value moves out
of the alert range.
Deactivate Alert
1. Hold the RAIN/ALERT button until you see Alert ON.
2. Press and release the - or +/MODE button to turn alert OFF.
3. Press RAIN/ALERT to exit.

Positioning Rain Sensor
For Accurate Measurements
• Mount the Rain Sensor horizontally and ensure it’s level.
• The sensor should be mounted more than 3 feet (91.4 cm)
above ground.
• Your Rain Sensor needs to be in an open area for accurate
readings.
• Ensure the base of your Rain Sensor is not in a depression.
• This sensor has drainage holes in its base that allow it to
self-empty.

Cleaning Your Rain Sensor
Winter Storage Options
• Leaves, grass, or other debris may need to be removed
periodically from the funnel of your Rain Sensor.
• Be sure to check inside your Rain Sensor as well. Insects or
dirt can begin to restrict the movement of the Rocker.
• Unlatch the Locking Tabs on the side of the Rain Sensor to
remove the Funnel. This will allow you to easily clean each
part separately.
• Remove batteries and store sensor in a safe place.
• Remove batteries and cover the sensor where mounted.
• Leave outside, uncovered. While the Rain Sensor cannot
accurately record snowfall, when the snow melts the water
will be counted as rain.
• The Rain Sensor is self-emptying, so water should not
freeze inside.
• This Rain Sensor is designed for outdoor use and will
withstand temperatures below freezing.

If you are seeing “NO” or dashes for your rain readings, please try the
following steps:
1. Hold the SENSOR button to search for the rain sensor. The Reception
Indicator will begin to animate.
2. If after 3 minutes the sensor still isn’t connected, bring the sensor inside next to
the display and remove power from both the sensor and station.
3. Press any button on the station 20 times and leave the parts sit for a few
