1.Startabrowser(InternetExplorer,Firefox,Safari).

2.EntertheIPaddressorhostnameoftheAxisproductinthebrowser’sLocation/Addresseld.Toaccesstheproductfroma

Macintoshcomputer(MacOSX),clickontheBonjourtabandselecttheproductfromthedrop-downlist.

IfyoudonotknowtheIPaddress,useAXISIPUtilitytolocatetheproductonthenetwork.Forinformationabouthowto

discoverandassignanIPaddress,seetheInstallationandManagementSoftwareCDorthedocumentAssignanIPAddress

andAccesstheVideoStreamonAxisSupportwebatwww.axis.com/techsup

3.Enteryourusernameandpassword.Ifthisisthersttimetheproductisaccessed,therootpasswordmustrstbe

4.Theproduct’sLiveViewpageopensinyourbrowser.

Onceconnected,theAxisproductisaccessibleonyourlocalnetwork(LAN).ToaccesstheproductfromtheInternetyoumust

congureyournetworkroutertoallowincomingdatatrafctotheproduct.Todothis,enabletheNAT-traversalfeature,which

willattempttoautomaticallyconguretheroutertoallowaccesstotheproduct.ThisisenabledfromSetup>SystemOptions>

ToaccesstheAxisproduct,youmustsetthepasswordforthedefaultadministratoruserroot.ThisisdoneintheCongureRoot

Passworddialog,whichopenswhentheproductisaccessedforthersttime.

Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS

certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The

HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage41.

Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe
