stillbephysicallyconnectedtodevice,butitcannotbeusedtosendorreceivedata,eventhoughitslinkstatusmaystillbeUp
andtheattacheddeviceisstilldrawingpower.Disablingtheportpreventsanydevicefromaccessingtheswitchornetwork.Ports
thatarenotinuseshouldbedisabledforincreasedsecurity.
