11.2 WLAN AP (Access Point)
The device can be used as a wireless access point with the WLAN AP function. You can connect
your phone or PC to the device AP, so as to access to the device and configure the parameters via
your phone or PC.
11.2.1 Access to Device via AP
You can access to the device via the device AP when the device cannot connect to the network.
Before You Start
Make sure the WLAN AP function is enabled in Configuration → Network → Advanced Settings →
WLAN AP.
Steps
1. Search the device WLAN AP in the WLAN list of your phone or PC.
Note
● The AP name is HM-AP + the last 9 digits of the serial number. The serial number can be
obtained from System → System Settings → Basic Information.
● The activation password is the password of the admin.
2. Connect your phone or PC to the AP.
3. Enter the IP address in the browser.
Note
The default IP of the device AP is 192.168.8.1.
11.3 TCP/IP
TCP/IP settings must be properly configured before you operate the device over network. IPv4 and
IPv6 are both supported. Both versions can be configured simultaneously without conflicting to
each other.
Go to Configuration → Basic Configuration → Network → TCP/IP for parameter settings.
NIC Type
Select a NIC (Network Interface Card) type according to your network condition.
IPv4
Two IPv4 modes are available.
DHCP
The device automatically gets the IPv4 parameters from the network if you check DHCP. The
