The inner lid of Panda is coated aluminum – we have put a special inert coating on the inner lid to stop oxidization and discoloration and it also seals it completely. The inner lid does not come into contact with any food and it is completely safe. Most rice cookers have some form of aluminum inner lid, but only our products have a special seal on it.

We have put a recipe in the instruction manual for cooking oatmeal. You can set the timer for it to be ready in the morning when you wake up and it can stay on keep warm until you are ready to eat it. Panda has a 24-hour keep warm, but we wouldn't recommend keeping porridge warm for that long as it will completely dry out

Panda has a ceramic coated inner bowl that is BPA-free, PFOA-free, and PTFE-free. It is a durable and healthy non-stick coating. Nothing sticks to the inner bowl and you need to be sure to follow the cleaning instructions in the user manual
