POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to
prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service
personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If an extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord.
Note: If the power-supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified
personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.
Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires,
or other injury to persons or damage to property. Keep hands and face
clear of the area above the Kettle.
11. Remove the kettle from the power base before pouring the water.
Caution: Always make sure the kettle is Off (0) before removing it from
the power base.
Caution: To avoid a risk of splashing, make sure the lid is securely
closed onto the kettle before pouring the water. Pour slowly and don’t
over-tilt the kettle.
Caution: Do not touch hot surfaces! When you lift the kettle from the
power base you may notice moisture on the power base surface. This
is the steam used to switch the kettle Off (0) automatically, which then
condenses and escapes through the vents in the underside of the kettle.
This is normal and should be ignored.
12. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet when not in use.
Allow it to cool before reuse.
13. Empty the kettle after each use.
Important: Do not leave water in the kettle overnight.
14. For cleaning instructions, go to the CARE AND CLEANING section.
REHEATING WATER IN THE KETTLE
1. To reheat water in the kettle, check the water level.
Caution: When refilling, take care when lifting the lid, as the kettle,
if hot, may be full of steam. Keep your face, hands, etc. clear of the
opening.
2. If necessary, add more water, and then place kettle back onto the
power base.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
3. Press On/Off (I/0) lever down, into the On (I) position. The indicator
light will come on.
4. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut off
and the indicator light will turn off.
5. Remove the kettle from the power base before pouring the water.
Caution: Always make sure the kettle is Off (0) before removing it from
the power base.
Caution: To avoid a risk of splashing, make sure the lid is securely
closed onto the kettle before pouring the water. Pour slowly and don’t
over-tilt the kettle.
6. Unplug the power base when not in use. Allow it to cool before reuse.
7. Empty the kettle after each use.
Important: Do not leave water in the kettle overnight.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
A safety thermostat will automatically operate should your kettle be
accidentally plugged in without any water, or if the kettle is without
sufficient water, or if the kettle is allowed to boil dry. The boil-dry
protection device will automatically turn the kettle Off (0).
Important: To reset the boil-dry protection device, you must remove the
kettle from the power base and allow it to cool before refilling with water.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
Caution: Do not immerse kettle or power base in any liquid. Do not place
kettle, scale filter or power base in the dishwasher for cleaning.
1. Make sure the kettle is turned Off (0).
2. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.
3. Allow the kettle and power base to cool before cleaning.
CLEANING ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever into the Off (0) position. Allow kettle to cool
before cleaning.
2. Open the lid.
3. Remove the scale filter from inside the kettle.
4. Rinse the scale filter under running water and use a soft brush if necessary.
Note: Do not use a metal brush.
5. Place scale filter back into position.
6. Rinse the inside of kettle with water and wipe the outside with a damp
cloth.
Note: Do not use highly corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or brushes.
7. Dry the outside of the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
CLEANING KETTLE WITH VINEGAR
Note: Mineral deposits can form a coating inside the kettle and may cause an
off flavor in the water or lengthen the boiling time.
Use the following cleaning method:
• Inabowl,mixadilutedsolutionofonepartvinegartofourpartswaterand
pour into kettle.
Important: Do not boil the solution in the kettle, as it may damage the
kettle.
• Allowthesolutiontosoakinthekettlefor30minutes.
• Thencleanwithasoft,non-abrasivebrush.
• Emptyoutsolution.
• Fillthekettlewithcleanwaterandrinsethoroughlyseveraltimes.
CLEANING POWER BASE
1. Wipe the power base unit with a damp cloth.
2. Dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

PRELIMINARY STEPS

the kettle and scale filter.
• MakesurethepowercordisunpluggedandtheOn/Off(I/0)leverisin
the Off (0) position.
• Wipethepowerbasecleanwithamoistenedcloth.Drythoroughly.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Do not immerse kettle, power base, power cord, or polarized
plug in water or any other liquid.
ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Place power base on a level surface such as a countertop or table. The
power base must be dry before use.
Caution: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the
countertop, tabletop or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or
placemats between the power base and the finish of the countertop or
tabletop. Failure to do this may cause the finish to darken, permanent
blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
2. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle into the Off (0) position.
3. Remove kettle from the power base by lifting it up.
4. Open the lid.
5. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
6. Press down on the lid until it snaps into place. Dry the excess water
from the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Caution: To avoid the risk of splashing hot water, make sure the lid is
securely closed onto the kettle before operation.
7. Place the kettle on the power base, engaging the connector into the
bottom of the kettle.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
8. Insert the polarized plug into an electrical outlet.
9. Press the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle downwards, into the On (I)
position. The indicator light will come on.
Note: If the kettle is accidentally switched On (I) without sufficient water,
a boil-dry protection device will automatically turn the unit Off (0)
(see BOIL-DRY PROTECTION).
10. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut
off and the indicator light will turn off.
Note: The kettle can be turned Off (0) at any time during the heating
process by pressing the On/Off (I/0) lever to the Off (0) position.
Warning: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use.

POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to
prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service
personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If an extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord.
Note: If the power-supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified
personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.
Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires,
or other injury to persons or damage to property. Keep hands and face
clear of the area above the Kettle.
11. Remove the kettle from the power base before pouring the water.
Caution: Always make sure the kettle is Off (0) before removing it from
the power base.
Caution: To avoid a risk of splashing, make sure the lid is securely
closed onto the kettle before pouring the water. Pour slowly and don’t
over-tilt the kettle.
Caution: Do not touch hot surfaces! When you lift the kettle from the
power base you may notice moisture on the power base surface. This
is the steam used to switch the kettle Off (0) automatically, which then
condenses and escapes through the vents in the underside of the kettle.
This is normal and should be ignored.
12. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet when not in use.
Allow it to cool before reuse.
13. Empty the kettle after each use.
Important: Do not leave water in the kettle overnight.

REHEATING WATER IN THE KETTLE
1. To reheat water in the kettle, check the water level.
Caution: When refilling, take care when lifting the lid, as the kettle,
if hot, may be full of steam. Keep your face, hands, etc. clear of the
opening.
2. If necessary, add more water, and then place kettle back onto the
power base.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
3. Press On/Off (I/0) lever down, into the On (I) position. The indicator
light will come on.
4. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut off
and the indicator light will turn off.
5. Remove the kettle from the power base before pouring the water.
Caution: Always make sure the kettle is Off (0) before removing it from
the power base.
Caution: To avoid a risk of splashing, make sure the lid is securely
closed onto the kettle before pouring the water. Pour slowly and don’t

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
A safety thermostat will automatically operate should your kettle be
accidentally plugged in without any water, or if the kettle is without
sufficient water, or if the kettle is allowed to boil dry. The boil-dry
protection device will automatically turn the kettle Off (0).
Important: To reset the boil-dry protection device, you must remove the
kettle from the power base and allow it to cool before refilling with water.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
Caution: Do not immerse kettle or power base in any liquid. Do not place
kettle, scale filter or power base in the dishwasher for cleaning.
1. Make sure the kettle is turned Off (0).
2. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.
3. Allow the kettle and power base to cool before cleaning.
CLEANING ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever into the Off (0) position. Allow kettle to cool
before cleaning.
2. Open the lid.
3. Remove the scale filter from inside the kettle.
4. Rinse the scale filter under running water and use a soft brush if necessary.
Note: Do not use a metal brush.
5. Place scale filter back into position.
6. Rinse the inside of kettle with water and wipe the outside with a damp
cloth.
Note: Do not use highly corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or brushes.
7. Dry the outside of the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
CLEANING KETTLE WITH VINEGAR
Note: Mineral deposits can form a coating inside the kettle and may cause an
off flavor in the water or lengthen the boiling time.
Use the following cleaning method:
• Inabowl,mixadilutedsolutionofonepartvinegartofourpartswaterand
pour into kettle.
Important: Do not boil the solution in the kettle, as it may damage the
kettle.
• Allowthesolutiontosoakinthekettlefor30minutes.
• Thencleanwithasoft,non-abrasivebrush.
• Emptyoutsolution.
• Fillthekettlewithcleanwaterandrinsethoroughlyseveraltimes.
CLEANING POWER BASE
1. Wipe the power base unit with a damp cloth.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Do not immerse kettle, power base, power cord, or polarized
plug in water or any other liquid.
ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Place power base on a level surface such as a countertop or table. The
power base must be dry before use.
Caution: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the
countertop, tabletop or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or
placemats between the power base and the finish of the countertop or
tabletop. Failure to do this may cause the finish to darken, permanent
blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
2. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle into the Off (0) position.
3. Remove kettle from the power base by lifting it up.
4. Open the lid.
5. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
6. Press down on the lid until it snaps into place. Dry the excess water
from the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Caution: To avoid the risk of splashing hot water, make sure the lid is
securely closed onto the kettle before operation.
7. Place the kettle on the power base, engaging the connector into the
bottom of the kettle.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
8. Insert the polarized plug into an electrical outlet.
9. Press the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle downwards, into the On (I)
position. The indicator light will come on.
Note: If the kettle is accidentally switched On (I) without sufficient water,
a boil-dry protection device will automatically turn the unit Off (0)
(see BOIL-DRY PROTECTION).
10. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut
off and the indicator light will turn off.
Note: The kettle can be turned Off (0) at any time during the heating
process by pressing the On/Off (I/0) lever to the Off (0) position.
Warning: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use.

REHEATING WATER IN THE KETTLE

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
A safety thermostat will automatically operate should your kettle be
accidentally plugged in without any water, or if the kettle is without
sufficient water, or if the kettle is allowed to boil dry. The boil-dry
protection device will automatically turn the kettle Off (0).
Important: To reset the boil-dry protection device, you must remove the
kettle from the power base and allow it to cool before refilling with water.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
Caution: Do not immerse kettle or power base in any liquid. Do not place
kettle, scale filter or power base in the dishwasher for cleaning.
1. Make sure the kettle is turned Off (0).
2. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.

CLEANING ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever into the Off (0) position. Allow kettle to cool

3. Remove the scale filter from inside the kettle.
4. Rinse the scale filter under running water and use a soft brush if necessary.
Note: Do not use a metal brush.
5. Place scale filter back into position.
6. Rinse the inside of kettle with water and wipe the outside with a damp
cloth.
Note: Do not use highly corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or brushes.
7. Dry the outside of the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
CLEANING KETTLE WITH VINEGAR
Note: Mineral deposits can form a coating inside the kettle and may cause an
off flavor in the water or lengthen the boiling time.
Use the following cleaning method:
• Inabowl,mixadilutedsolutionofonepartvinegartofourpartswaterand
pour into kettle.
Important: Do not boil the solution in the kettle, as it may damage the
kettle.
• Allowthesolutiontosoakinthekettlefor30minutes.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Place power base on a level surface such as a countertop or table. The
power base must be dry before use.
Caution: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the
countertop, tabletop or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or
placemats between the power base and the finish of the countertop or
tabletop. Failure to do this may cause the finish to darken, permanent
blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
2. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle into the Off (0) position.
3. Remove kettle from the power base by lifting it up.
4. Open the lid.
5. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
6. Press down on the lid until it snaps into place. Dry the excess water
from the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Caution: To avoid the risk of splashing hot water, make sure the lid is
securely closed onto the kettle before operation.
7. Place the kettle on the power base, engaging the connector into the
bottom of the kettle.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
8. Insert the polarized plug into an electrical outlet.
9. Press the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle downwards, into the On (I)
position. The indicator light will come on.
Note: If the kettle is accidentally switched On (I) without sufficient water,
a boil-dry protection device will automatically turn the unit Off (0)
(see BOIL-DRY PROTECTION).
10. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut
off and the indicator light will turn off.
Note: The kettle can be turned Off (0) at any time during the heating
process by pressing the On/Off (I/0) lever to the Off (0) position.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
A safety thermostat will automatically operate should your kettle be
accidentally plugged in without any water, or if the kettle is without
sufficient water, or if the kettle is allowed to boil dry. The boil-dry
protection device will automatically turn the kettle Off (0).
Important: To reset the boil-dry protection device, you must remove the
kettle from the power base and allow it to cool before refilling with water.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
Caution: Do not immerse kettle or power base in any liquid. Do not place
kettle, scale filter or power base in the dishwasher for cleaning.

CLEANING KETTLE WITH VINEGAR
Note: Mineral deposits can form a coating inside the kettle and may cause an
off flavor in the water or lengthen the boiling time.
Use the following cleaning method:

pour into kettle.
Important: Do not boil the solution in the kettle, as it may damage the
kettle.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Do not immerse kettle, power base, power cord, or polarized
plug in water or any other liquid.
ELECTRIC KETTLE
1. Place power base on a level surface such as a countertop or table. The
power base must be dry before use.
Caution: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the
countertop, tabletop or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or
placemats between the power base and the finish of the countertop or
tabletop. Failure to do this may cause the finish to darken, permanent
blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
2. Raise the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle into the Off (0) position.
3. Remove kettle from the power base by lifting it up.
4. Open the lid.
5. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water.
Caution: Do not fill above the MAX level as indicated by the lever inside
the kettle. If filled above the MAX level it could cause boiling water to
splatter out.
6. Press down on the lid until it snaps into place. Dry the excess water
from the kettle with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Caution: To avoid the risk of splashing hot water, make sure the lid is
securely closed onto the kettle before operation.
7. Place the kettle on the power base, engaging the connector into the
bottom of the kettle.
Note: Be careful not to spill any water onto the power base.
8. Insert the polarized plug into an electrical outlet.
9. Press the On/Off (I/0) lever from the kettle downwards, into the On (I)
position. The indicator light will come on.
Note: If the kettle is accidentally switched On (I) without sufficient water,
a boil-dry protection device will automatically turn the unit Off (0)
(see BOIL-DRY PROTECTION).
10. When the water comes to a boil, the kettle will automatically shut
off and the indicator light will turn off.
Note: The kettle can be turned Off (0) at any time during the heating
process by pressing the On/Off (I/0) lever to the Off (0) position.

POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to
prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service
personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If an extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the

This is normal and should be ignored.
12. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet when not in use.
Allow it to cool before reuse.

REHEATING WATER IN THE KETTLE
1. To reheat water in the kettle, check the water level.
Caution: When refilling, take care when lifting the lid, as the kettle,
if hot, may be full of steam. Keep your face, hands, etc. clear of the
opening.

Un termostato de seguridad se activará automáticamente si el hervidor
se enchufa accidentalmente sin tener agua, o si el hervidor no tiene

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

HERVIDOR ELÉCTRICO
1.Coloquelabaseeléctricasobreunasuper�cieniveladacomoun
mostrador o una mesa. La base eléctrica debe estar seca antes
de usarse.
Precaución:Paraprevenirquelosplasti�cantesenlaterminación
del mostrador, mesa u otro mueble migren a la base del hervidor,
coloque un portavaso o mantel que no sea plástico entre la base y
el mostrador o mesa. El no hacerlo puede causar que el mostrador o
mesa se oscurezca, o le aparezcan manchas permanentes.
2. Coloque el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) del hervidor en la
posición de apagado (0).
3. Levante el hervidor para retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
4. Abrar la tapa.
5. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua que desee.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del
hervidor. Si llena el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua máxima

6.Paracerrarlatapa,presionehaciaabajo.Sequeelexcesodeagua

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

HERVIDOR ELÉCTRICO
1.Coloquelabaseeléctricasobreunasuper�cieniveladacomoun
mostrador o una mesa. La base eléctrica debe estar seca antes
de usarse.
Precaución:Paraprevenirquelosplasti�cantesenlaterminación
del mostrador, mesa u otro mueble migren a la base del hervidor,
coloque un portavaso o mantel que no sea plástico entre la base y
el mostrador o mesa. El no hacerlo puede causar que el mostrador o
mesa se oscurezca, o le aparezcan manchas permanentes.
2. Coloque el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) del hervidor en la
posición de apagado (0).
3. Levante el hervidor para retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
4. Abrar la tapa.
5. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua que desee.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del
hervidor. Si llena el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua máxima
(MAX) puede que salpique agua hirviente.
6.Paracerrarlatapa,presionehaciaabajo.Sequeelexcesodeagua
del hervidor con un paño suave o un papel toalla.
Precaución: Para prevenir el riesgo de salpicar agua caliente, asegure
que la tapa del hervidor esté bien cerrada antes de encenderlo.

LIMPIEZA DEL HERVIDOR ELECTRICO

LIMPIEZA DEL HERVIDOR CON VINAGRE
Nota: Depósitos minerales pueden formar una capa en el interior del

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
Precaución: No sumerja el hervidor, la base eléctrica, el cable o el
enchufe polarizado en agua o en ningún otro liquido.
HERVIDOR ELÉCTRICO
1.Coloquelabaseeléctricasobreunasuper�cieniveladacomoun
mostrador o una mesa. La base eléctrica debe estar seca antes
de usarse.
Precaución:Paraprevenirquelosplasti�cantesenlaterminación
del mostrador, mesa u otro mueble migren a la base del hervidor,
coloque un portavaso o mantel que no sea plástico entre la base y
el mostrador o mesa. El no hacerlo puede causar que el mostrador o
mesa se oscurezca, o le aparezcan manchas permanentes.
2. Coloque el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) del hervidor en la
posición de apagado (0).
3. Levante el hervidor para retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
4. Abrar la tapa.
5. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua que desee.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del
hervidor. Si llena el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua máxima
(MAX) puede que salpique agua hirviente.
6.Paracerrarlatapa,presionehaciaabajo.Sequeelexcesodeagua
del hervidor con un paño suave o un papel toalla.
Precaución: Para prevenir el riesgo de salpicar agua caliente, asegure
que la tapa del hervidor esté bien cerrada antes de encenderlo.
7. Coloque el hervidor sobre la base, encajando el conector en la parte
de abajo del hervidor.
Nota: Tenga cuidado de no derramar agua sobre la base eléctrica.
8. Enchufe a un tomacorriente.
9. Oprima el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) a la posición de
encender (I). La luz del indicador se prenderá.

LIMPIEZA DEL HERVIDOR CON VINAGRE
Nota: Depósitos minerales pueden formar una capa en el interior del
hervidor y puede causar un mal sabor en el agua o extender el tiempo
de hervir.
Use el siguiente método de limpieza:
• Enunrecipiente,mezcleunasolucióndeunapartevinagrediluidaen
cuatro partes agua y vierta dentro del hervidor.

10. Cuando el agua hierva, el hervidor se apagará (0) al igual que la luz
indicadora de funcionamiento.
Nota: El hervidor puede apagarse (0) en cualquier momento durante
el proceso de calentamiento oprimiendo el interruptor de encender/
apagar (I/0) a la posición de apagado (0).
Advertencia: Este aparato genera calor y despide vapor durante su
uso. Deben tomarse precauciones adecuadas para prevenir riesgo

11. Retire el hervidor de la base eléctrica antes de verter el agua.

Vierta despacio y no incline la jarra demasiado.

base eléctrica. Este vapor se usa para apagar (0) el hervidor
automáticamente que luego se condensa y escapa por la rejillas en la
parte de abajo del hervidor. Esto es normal y debe ignorarse.
12. Desenchufe la base del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso.
Permita que se refresque antes de volverla a usar.
13. Vacié el hervidor después de cada uso.
Importante: No deje agua en el hervidor de un día para otro.

PARA RECALENTAR AGUA EN EL HERVIDOR
1. Para recalentar agua en el hervidor, revise el nivel de agua.
Precaución: Al rellenar el hervidor, tenga cuidado cuando retire la
tapa ya que si el hervidor está caliente, puede estar lleno de vapor.
Mantenga sus manos y su rostro alejados al abrir la jarra.
2.Siesnecesario,añadamásaguayluegovuelvaacolocarelhervidor

secarse por completo. El dispositivo de protección contra hervir en seco
apagará (0) el hervidor automáticamente.

HERVIDOR ELÉCTRICO
1.Coloquelabaseeléctricasobreunasuper�cieniveladacomoun
mostrador o una mesa. La base eléctrica debe estar seca antes
de usarse.
Precaución:Paraprevenirquelosplasti�cantesenlaterminación
del mostrador, mesa u otro mueble migren a la base del hervidor,
coloque un portavaso o mantel que no sea plástico entre la base y
el mostrador o mesa. El no hacerlo puede causar que el mostrador o

2. Coloque el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) del hervidor en la
posición de apagado (0).
3. Levante el hervidor para retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
4. Abrar la tapa.
5. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua que desee.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del

10. Cuando el agua hierva, el hervidor se apagará (0) al igual que la luz
indicadora de funcionamiento.
Nota: El hervidor puede apagarse (0) en cualquier momento durante
el proceso de calentamiento oprimiendo el interruptor de encender/
apagar (I/0) a la posición de apagado (0).
Advertencia: Este aparato genera calor y despide vapor durante su
uso. Deben tomarse precauciones adecuadas para prevenir riesgo
de quemaduras, incendios u otras lesiones a personas, o daños a la
propiedad. Mantenga sus manos y su rostro fuera del área encima
del hervidor.
11. Retire el hervidor de la base eléctrica antes de verter el agua.
Precaución: Siempre asegure que el hervidor esté apagado (0) antes
de retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
Precaución: Para prevenir el riesgo de salpicar agua caliente,
veri�quequelatapaestébiencerradaantesdeverterelagua.
Vierta despacio y no incline la jarra demasiado.
Precaución:¡Notoquelassuper�ciescalientes!Allevantar
el hervidor de la base, usted puede notar humedad sobre la
base eléctrica. Este vapor se usa para apagar (0) el hervidor
automáticamente que luego se condensa y escapa por la rejillas en la
parte de abajo del hervidor. Esto es normal y debe ignorarse.
12. Desenchufe la base del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso.
Permita que se refresque antes de volverla a usar.
13. Vacié el hervidor después de cada uso.
Importante: No deje agua en el hervidor de un día para otro.

PARA RECALENTAR AGUA EN EL HERVIDOR
1. Para recalentar agua en el hervidor, revise el nivel de agua.
Precaución: Al rellenar el hervidor, tenga cuidado cuando retire la
tapa ya que si el hervidor está caliente, puede estar lleno de vapor.
Mantenga sus manos y su rostro alejados al abrir la jarra.
2.Siesnecesario,añadamásaguayluegovuelvaacolocarelhervidor
sobre la base eléctrica.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del
hervidor. Si llena el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua máxima
(MAX) puede que salpique agua hirviente.
Nota: Tenga cuidado de no derramar agua sobre la base eléctrica.
3. Oprima el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) a la posición de
encender (I). La luz del indicador se prenderá.
4. Cuando el agua hierva, el hervidor se apagará al igual que la luz
indicadora de funcionamiento.
5. Retire el hervidor de la base eléctrica antes de verter el agua.
Precaución: Siempre asegure que el hervidor esté apagado (0) antes de
retirarlo de la base eléctrica.

PROTECCIÓN CONTRA HERVIR EN SECO
Un termostato de seguridad se activará automáticamente si el hervidor
se enchufa accidentalmente sin tener agua, o si el hervidor no tiene
su�cienteagua,osisepermitequeelaguahiervahastaelpuntode
secarse por completo. El dispositivo de protección contra hervir en seco
apagará (0) el hervidor automáticamente.
Importante: Para reajustar el dispositivo protector contra hervir en
seco, usted debe retirar el hervidor de la base eléctrica y permitir que
se refresque antes de rellenarla nuevamente con agua.

PASOS PRELIMINARIOS

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
Precaución: No sumerja el hervidor, la base eléctrica, el cable o el
enchufe polarizado en agua o en ningún otro liquido.
HERVIDOR ELÉCTRICO
1.Coloquelabaseeléctricasobreunasuper�cieniveladacomoun
mostrador o una mesa. La base eléctrica debe estar seca antes
de usarse.
Precaución:Paraprevenirquelosplasti�cantesenlaterminación
del mostrador, mesa u otro mueble migren a la base del hervidor,
coloque un portavaso o mantel que no sea plástico entre la base y
el mostrador o mesa. El no hacerlo puede causar que el mostrador o
mesa se oscurezca, o le aparezcan manchas permanentes.
2. Coloque el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) del hervidor en la
posición de apagado (0).
3. Levante el hervidor para retirarlo de la base eléctrica.
4. Abrar la tapa.
5. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua que desee.
Precaución: No llene el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua
máxima (MAX) como esta indicado por la palanca adentro del
hervidor. Si llena el hervidor por encima del nivel de agua máxima
(MAX) puede que salpique agua hirviente.
6.Paracerrarlatapa,presionehaciaabajo.Sequeelexcesodeagua
del hervidor con un paño suave o un papel toalla.
Precaución: Para prevenir el riesgo de salpicar agua caliente, asegure
que la tapa del hervidor esté bien cerrada antes de encenderlo.
7. Coloque el hervidor sobre la base, encajando el conector en la parte
de abajo del hervidor.
Nota: Tenga cuidado de no derramar agua sobre la base eléctrica.
8. Enchufe a un tomacorriente.
9. Oprima el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) a la posición de
encender (I). La luz del indicador se prenderá.
Nota:Sielhervidorseenciende(I)accidentalmentesintenersu�ciente
agua, un dispositivo que protege contra hervir en seco automáticamente
apagará (0) la unidad (ver explicación acerca de la PROTECCIÓN

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

LIMPIEZA DEL HERVIDOR ELECTRICO
1. Levante el interruptor de encender/apagar (I/0) a la posición de
apagar (0). Permita que el hervidor se refresque antes de limpiarlo.
2. Abrar la tapa.
3.Retireel�ltrocontrasarrodelinteriordelhervidor.
4.Enjuagueel�ltrocontrasarrodebajodelaguacorrienteyuseun
cepillo suave si es necesario.
Nota: No use un cepillo de metal.
5.Coloqueel�ltrocontrasarronuevamenteensuposición.
6. Enjuague el interior del hervidor con agua y limpie el exterior con un
paño húmedo.
Nota: No use agentes limpiadores corrosivos o abrasivos, ni cepillos.
7.Sequeelexteriordelhervidorconunpañosuaveounpapeltoalla.

Nota: Depósitos minerales pueden formar una capa en el interior del
