IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all instructions before usingtheheater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not letbareskin touch thehot surfaces. If
provided,always use handleswhen moving this heater. Keep combustible materials suchas
furniture, pillows,bedding, papers, clothes and curtains atleast3 feet (1m) from the front of the
heater and keepthemawayfrom the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is operatedby,orusednear children or individuals
withreducedphysical,sensory,ormentalcapabilities, and whenever the heater is leftoperating
unattended.
4. Always unplug the heater when it'snot in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug orafter the heater malfunctions, has been
dropped or damagedin any manner. Discard, or callcustomerservicebeforeyoureturnthe heater
toauthorizedservice facility for examinationor repair.
6. Do not use the heater outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundryareas,or similar moist indoor locations.
Neverlocate theheaterwhereit may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting, throwrugs, runners, orsimilar coverings. Do not runthecord
underfurniture orappliances. Arrange thecord away from hightrafficareaswhere it will not be
tripped over.
9. CAUTION: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade iswider than the other). To reduce the
risk ofshock, this plugisintended to fit only one way into a polarized outlet. If theplugdoes not fit
fully into theoutlet, reverse the plug. If it stilldoesnot fit, contact a qualified electrician.DONOT
attempttobypassthissafetyfeature.Doingsocouldresultinanelectricshockhazard.
10. Thisheaterdraws12.5ampsduringoperation.Topreventoverloadingacircuit,donotplugthe
heaterintoacircuitwithotherworkingappliances.
11. CAUTION:Itisnormalfortheplugtofeelwarmtothetouch;however,aloosefitbetweentheplug
andoutletmaycauseoverheatinganddamagetotheplug.Contactaqualifiedelectricianto
replacelooseorbrokenoutlet.
12. Todisconnecttheheater,firstturnitoff,thenremovetheplugfromtheoutlet.Neverpullbythe
cord.
13. Donotinsertforeignobjects-orallowthemtoenter-intoanyventsorexhaustopenings,asthis
maycauseanelectricshock,fire,ordamagetotheheater.
14. Topreventapossiblefire,donotblockairventsinanymanner.Donotusetheheateronsoft

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
Beforeturningontheheater:
1. Checkthepowercordandplugfordamage.Neveroperatetheunitwithadamagedcord.
2. Plugyourheaterintoagrounded115-120VACoutlet.Besurethevoltageandfrequencyarethe
sameasthevoltageandfrequencylistedontheratinglabel.Otherwise,contactaqualifiedelectrician
toreplaceit.

Thisheaterisdesignedtobeusedineitheraverticalorhorizontalpositionasdesired.Positiontheunit
onaflat,stablesurfaceduringoperation.
On/Off
PlugtheunitdirectlyintothewalloutletandpresstheON/OFFkey(orpresstheON/OFFkeyonthe
remotecontrol)tostarttheheater.Theunitautomaticallystartsinhighheatmodewiththedisplay
showingatemperatureof95°F(35°C).Pressingthebuttonagainwillreturntheunittostandbymode.
Modecontrol
RepeatedlypressingtheModekeyswitchestheheatermodes,inorderfrom:highheat,lowheat,fan
only,ECOmode,thenbacktohighheat.
Temperaturecontrol
Pressing+or-whiletheheaterisonchangesthetemperature,withintherangeof
40-95°F(4-35°C).Whentheroomtemperaturematchesthesettemperature,thedisplayflashesfor10S,
theunitstopsworking,remaininginstandby.Whentheroomtemperaturedropsbelowtheset
temperature,theheaterwillstartagain.
Timerfunction
Thetimercanbesettorunbetween1and24hours.
TimerOff:
Whentheheaterisinoperation,pressTIMERandthenpress+or-keystoincreaseor
decreasethetimerin1hourincrements.TheunitwillturnOFFafterthesetnumberofhours.
TimerOn:
Whentheheaterisinstandbymode,pressTIMERandthenpress+or-keystoincreaseor
decreasethetimerin1hourincrements.TheunitwillturnONafterthesetnumberofhours.
Oscillationfunction
PressingtheOscillationkeywhiletheheaterisonstartstheoscillationfunction;pressingthisbuttonagain
turnstheoscillationfunctionoff.Oscillationstopswhentheunitturnsoff,aswell.

Memory function
Aslongasnopoweroutagesoccur,theunitwillrestartwiththesamesettingitwasinwhenitwasturned
off.Intheeventofapoweroutage,theheaterwillreturnto the factory settings: Startinginthehigh
settingwitha default temperatureof95°F(35°C).
Off screen function
Whentheheaterisinoperation, the screen automatically goes blankafter1minute,
keepingonly the heating logo illuminated. Holding the and buttonsatthesametime for 2 secondsturns
thisfunctionoff. Holding them foranother 2 secondswill turn the Offscreen functionbackonagain.
Short circuitprotection function
Ifatemperaturesensorshortcircuits,anE1orE2errorwillflashonthedigitaldisplayscreenandtheunit
willbeep10times.Thecontrolpanelandremotecontrolkeyswillnotwork.Unplugtheunitandcontact
customerserviceat1-844-472-2473(1-844-4PA-AIRE).
Overheat protection
Thisunitfeaturesathermalshutoffprotectiontopreventoverheating.If the room temperature is above
122°F(50°C), theunitwillstopoperatingandthe displaywillflash 75 times,oncepersecond;the
controlpanelandremotekeys will not work. Toreset,unplugtheheater;waitafewminutesbeforeplugging
itbackinandturningiton.
ECO energy saving Mode
Selecting the modeoption, allowstheheatertoautomaticallyadjusttheheatandpowersettlingsfor
themostcomfortwhileincreasingenergyefficiency. Theunitmayswitchtheheatandfanseveraltimesin
anhourtoreduceenergyconsumption.Themaximumtemperatureinthissettingis79°F(26°C).
Remote control
The remote control key functions are basically the same as the control panelontheunit.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the heater does notoperate- properly or at all, first check the following list. If the reason the heater
does not operate or does not operate properly is not on the list, it may have failed. Contact customer
serviceat1-844-472-2473(1-844-4PA-AIRE)forfurtherassistance.
