blocksofsolidcolororwithamosaicpattern.

YoucanusetheVAPIX®applicationprogramminginterface(API)tohidetheprivacymasks.

Ifyouusemultipleprivacymasksitmayaffecttheproduct’sperformance.

Youcancreateseveralprivacymasks.Themaximumnumberofmasksdependsonthecomplexityofallthemaskscombined.The

moreanchorpointsineachmask,thefewermasksyoucancreate.Eachmaskcanhave3to10anchorpoints.

Setthezoomandfocusbeforeyoucreateaprivacymask.

Overlays

Overlaysaresuperimposedoverthevideostream.Theyareusedtoprovideextrainformationduringrecordings,suchasatimestamp,

orduringproductinstallationandconguration.Youcanaddeithertextoranimage.

Thevideostreamingindicatorisanothertypeofoverlay.Itshowsyouthattheliveviewvideostreamislive.

Pan,tilt,andzoom(PTZ)

Guardtours

Aguardtourdisplaysthevideostreamfromdifferentpresetpositionseitherinapredeterminedorrandomorder,andforcongurable

periodsoftime.Oncestarted,aguardtourcontinuestorununtilstopped,evenwhentherearenoclients(webbrowsers)viewingthe

images.

ToensuresupportfortheOpusaudiocodec,theMotionJPEGstreamisalwayssentoverRTP.

MotionJPEG,orMJPEG,isadigitalvideosequencethatismadeupofaseriesofindividualJPEGimages.Theseimagesarethen

displayedandupdatedataratesufcienttocreateastreamthatshowsconstantlyupdatedmotion.Fortheviewertoperceivemotion

videotheratemustbeatleast16imageframespersecond.Fullmotionvideoisperceivedat30(NTSC)or25(PAL)framespersecond.

TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentimagequalityandaccesstoeveryimage

containedinthestream.
